I called them for a city-required inspection of my furnace. They quoted me a price for the inspection/cleaning that I thought was fair. Once they were into the inspection, they discovered a cracked heat exchanger (not surprising on an 18-year old furnace). They showed me the cracks so there was no doubt that they were really there, gave me a very competitive price on replacing it, and waived the original cost of the cleaning/inspection. Considering I was in a situation where I needed the inspection to pass, they easily could have taken advantage of me, and I feel like they definitely did not. In addition, they were polite and professional the entire time, and also gave me some other tips to help my house pass the rest of the city inspection.

So how much is the part and what do you charge per hour? Their answer....well, um it's by the job. Can I see the itemized list of charges ? Their answer . Um well we don't do that....its just $550. So what is your hourly charge? Um well it's by the job. I felt like I was taken advantage of when my back was against the wall.

The only negative for me is that he did not put a sticker on the furnace to show that he had been there. This would have been helpful as we are preparing for a city inspection and sale of the home.

Came immediately when needed for no heat. They managed to fix an old furnace and so we didn't have to buy a new one. Worked after hours for no extra charge. Furnace is now working great! Woukld hire again.
