CJB Pest & Mosquito Control

When "price shopping" for a mosquito program, I noticed that CJB was on the high side compared to their competitors. Although I am frugal, I'm not always immediately turned off by high prices as long as you feel you are getting what you paid for. I called three different companies to ask about the service they provide. CJB was the most informative and seemed like they would do the best job so I signed up for a one time application just to see how it would go. The thought being - if they did a good job, I would sign up for the rest of the summer. After our very first mosquito application I am very pleased! The tech, Shawn H., was very thorough. He understood that I'm not a big fan of chemicals and my request to not apply the solution to the lawn and due to this he spent extra time spraying our perimeter which is woods. We saw a major difference in pre mosquito application and post application. Pre application we were getting eaten alive! I am very impressed with the outcome and will be signing up for the rest of the season! After we scheduled the mosquito application we noticed we also had a carpenter ant invasion. Since CJB was already scheduled to come out for the mosquitos we asked them what programs they had for carpenter ants. Based on what we were seeing we went with their carpenter ant control program. Here again, I am more than pleased with the outcome! What they applied and the way they applied it has made a difference! And once again, I witnessed thoroughness in the job done. For me, I would rather pay more and get what you pay for. If you're the same way, I would highly recommend CJB!

It was perfectly fine. I like their immediate response. They eradicated the mess. I had no problems afterwards.

They are great guys. The guy knew exactly what he was talking about, and they were in uniforms, and they were good guys. I would go back to them in a heart beat.

They were very thorough and did a good job. They were well worth what we spent.

Evaluated the infestation. Provided a plan including what we needed to do and the number of applications we would need. Then we worked together to complete the plan. The bed bugs were completely eradicated and no further treatments were needed. Very professional individual and he was very kind in how he treated me as I was very upset about the infestation.

I thought they were very good. They were very thorough. They took care of the problem. I moved into an older house and I found mice droppings and they took care of them and there wasn’t anything. It was just one guy that came out and his name was Keith and he was really good. He was knowledgeable and professional. I think he treated for spiders too. I thought the price was very good. I thought it was a fair price and I probably want to call them back. I haven’t had any problems so I haven’t had them to come back. They did an inspection first for the mice. They gated the whole garage and the basement.

CJP Pest and Mosquito Control were okay. They were able to come before anybody else and they get it done immediately.

Very friendly. Killed monster spiders and small (apparently harmless) roaches. Took care of mosquitoes as well.

The service went really well. The tech was professional and ontime. He educated us on what to look for in adjacent areas and was very detail oriented . I would recommend them again.

We've been really pleased with CJB. The first appointment was scheduled very soon after we called and the gentleman came on time. He made a thorough inspection, gave us a realistic picture of what it will take to get rid of the rats and mice, described very thoroughly what the treatments would entail. He also pointed out some things that we can do to make it harder for the critters to get into the house. CJB has been out a few more times (this kind of problem will take repeated treatments until the colonies of rats and mice are completely gone). In particular, we've found Shawn to be extremely professional, extremely careful about the location of poison bait in relation to our dogs, and just a nice guy. I would not hesitate to recommend CJB.

They provided an estimate after asking questions about the problem. I scheduled an appointment for noon that day, then left home for another appointment. They called back right after I left to reschedule for 2 hours later, since I was not home they left a number to call back if the time was not acceptable. The technician arrived before the scheduled time, looked at the problem and told me what action he would take. After he treated the nest he told me the bee activity would be high an I should avoid the area, and over the next few days the activity would end. Once the bees were gone I should caulk the areas where the bees were entering. Within three days the bee activity had ceased. Great service, I would use them again if any issues arrive.

I was hearing sounds in my walls and on my ceiling. I've seen squirrels on my roof so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I call CJB on Saturday and they came out the same day. The gentleman that came out was prompt and very thorough. He performed a very detail exterior and interior inspection. He baited the garage and attic and also left me with a detailed list of suggested fixes to prevent the mice from coming in. I only negative thing was that the technician that came out told me that someone from the office would contact me to give me an estimate for the suggested repairs, but no one ever did.

At this time, we have had no further sightings and the problem seems to corrected.

I purchased the advertised daily deal through Angies List website. The company called me the very next day to schedule the appointment. I appreciated this very much as it was on my to do list to make the call. The gentleman that came out to spray showed up on time and was very courteous and did a good job. The treatment lasted the entire summer. The only complaint my husband had was there were some cigarette butts left on the ground but overall good work and I would hire again.

They were very responsive when I first called because I told them the yellow jackets were in the house and we were getting stung. They fit us into their schedule and came out on a Saturday. Shawn was very nice and helpful. He explained everything he was doing and what we could expect over the next couple of days as the yellow jackets died off. We had a couple snafus when scheduling the follow up visit, one time nobody showed up, but I guess that was due to the fact that they were a little overwhelmed with calls at the time. Shawn came back out and finished plugging up the holes where the yellow jackets were and gave us direction on how to keep it sealed in the future. Overall I was pleased with the job and would use them again, but had to give a "C" on responsiveness due to the missed appointment problems. However, when the technician did receive the job, he was always punctual.

I called several exterminators on Saturday because I saw a mouse in my house late Friday night. No one could come out. I booked someone for Tuesday morning, then someone from CJB called me back. At that point I was resigned to wait until Tuesday and I didn't really like the person who called me back from CJB. I felt like she was trying to scare me, telling me everyone thinks they have only one mouse and they are probably nesting in my attic. I said no, that I'd wait until Tuesday. She said someone could be out at 4pm. I wavered for a moment. She talked about Hanta virus and I was scared so said ok. Then they didn't show. I researched Hanta virus which is not really a problem in metro Detroit. Nothing to mess around with, yes... but this isn't the southwest or UP. I caught my one mouse on Saturday night. CJB Called me monday after 3pm and left long apology saying they could get out to me this week if I called for appt. On maintenance program now with other exterminator.

Well. Provider knew we spent too much for garage and sprayed around generously for additional protection, including mosquito control.

When we got back from a 2 week vacation, our house (kitchen, basement, great room) was infested with ants crawling around. The excessive rain while we were gone, as well as new housing construction that started, must have pushed the ants into our home. We checked on Angie's List and picked CJB due to their good reviews to date and local location. They were prompt, answered questions in detail (including why our off the shelf ant killers were not working), and then proceeded to spray our home. There was a 15% Angie's List discount that we applied too. All ants disappeared the next day, and we have not seen any since then 1 month later! They have a 6 month guarantee. We are very happy with their service and results.

The technician was very professional, but also joked around with my boys, who were obviously curious and a bit afraid of the wasps. He put my boys at ease and was able to cause minimal damage to the walls and ceiling which was just repainted.

It went really well. I was prepared for months of battle with the rats and had so many questions for Nick at CJB. He and his technicians were very professional and would answer all of my crazy questions. I have a dog so I was worried about the products they were using but they were accommodating and really took time to explain everything. I hope I never need their services again but if I have any type of a pest I will call them first! They did a great job. Thank you.

OK - found where the flies were coming from and was to give me an estimate of the cost of removal. Only problem is that I have never heard from them again.

I called a larger exterminator company first and they quoted me an expensive price for a bug I wasn't even sure I identified correctly. I looked on Angie's list and found CJB. I called CJB right away and they answered and told me the bug I thought it was is not common in my area. They kindly suggested I email them a photo of the bug (this is the part where I screeched because I had to go near that thing again). CJB informed me that the bug was not the bug I thought it was and informed me that it being in my house is just a fluke. CJB was extremely informative and knows their stuff. Considering the fact that they could have said it was a common bug infestation and treated my home when it didn't need to be treated (like many other exterminators gave me an estimate for and were prepared to do) I think that this company is reliable and experienced. I definitely intend to use their preventative services in the future (or...GULP... if I do get some sort of infestation). I highly recommend you do the same.

Technician located the small hole in the mortar under a threshold, sprayed into the hole and treated the outside. The problem was resolved very quickly. Also, checked other areas of the home for possible future issues, recommending I close up the small holes.
