He took care of everything; demolishing the old garage, hauling away the debris, and building the new garage. The new garage is very nice and shows great workmanship. However, there were some issues: Whenever he was in our home discussing the project, his cell phone would ring loudly (not on vibrate or silent). He would not answer it, instead he would just let it ring and we would do our best to talk over it. He did most of the communicating with the insurance company, which was quite extensive. The final amount was $5000 more than what the insurance company told me they were going to pay. However, the builder insisted that they told him that the were going to pay the entire amount. Despite reservations, we signed the contract and the garage was built. Shortly afterwards, we received a bill for $5000. The insurance company did not pay as the builder said they were going to. We took a few weeks researching our options, including sending an email to the builder that went unanswered. During this time we received a summons to small claims court and we ended up just paying him the $5000 to make the issue go away. Then, a few weeks later we discovered this on our credit report. The garage is very nice, however the headaches that went with it, including being placed on our credit report, were not worth it. The moral of the story: Trust nobody but yourself when dealing with the insurance company. Never trust the builder or anyone else to do this for you.

I called him and he returned the call promptly! Gave me an estimate and it was about middle of all the estimates! Had some good ideas! I wouldn't hesitate to call if I need work at a later date!

After considering several bids, I went with Lutz Brothers. Detailed estimates were provided for the kitchen and bathroom. Any deviation from the estimates were discussed before the change was implimented. I was responsible for the painting and was able to work around them with no problems. Everything was completed on schedule and for the agreed on price.
