Painters were very prepared got the job done in a very timely manner

This review is overdue. I am guessing on the amount paid and the exact date; it has been long enough that I might be off a little in my recollection. I think I had a hard time writing it because of the circumstances surrounding the work. My husband and I spent a lot of time researching replacement windows and were just about to take the expensive plunge when he was diagnosed with cancer. Plans changed. But the wood trim on the exterior of the house was in terrible shape, especially after two hard winters. If we were not going to replace it, we needed to maintain it before another winter rolled through. Joe (painter) debated, suggesting that we could wait until spring and the house would not fall apart. But it was important to me that my husband not be in a room with mold on the interior of the storms and that he have the comfort of knowing that this job was done before recuperating from treatment and surgery. It was symbolic, I think--we wanted our house in order even as things were falling apart elsewhere. Joe and his crew fit us in. It was touch and go at times as they worked around the weather through late fall and early winter. There were days it was too cold or wet to do anything, but they managed to get everything done before winter. And they did a great job, with a lot of attention to scraping and repairing before actually painting. The house looked great. My husband had that satisfaction through the holiday season and the weeks he was home after his surgery. The house still looks great. But my husband did not make it. It was a brutal cancer and surgery, and he developed complications. I miss him every day. I will always be grateful to Honsowitz Painters. The work they do is top quality. And they are just decent and kind people. Joe is old school, gruff on the outside, but as solid as they come. My husband liked him. I remember, after Joe came out to give us the estimate--not the first in a long line of painters I had queried--my husband looked at me with relief and said, "I think you found a good one." We did.

It went great. They are very professional, with fair pricing. They did a good job with cleaning up afterwards. They provided helpful information about some roofing work I may need in the future. They are also very trustworthy.

Took longer than expected. however was very professional and detail oriented. Did a great job of painting. Did not complain even when we changed our minds about colors in a couple of areas of the house

The paint job makes the old (1920s) house look new -- it's so conspicuously well done that I once had a guy driving by stop and come up to the house just to ask who painted the house. More recently I had roofing work done and one of the roofers I got an estimate from wanted to know who painted the house because it was the best work he'd ever seen in terms of the amount of caulking and such. It really is a quality paint job and I am sure it is going to last a very long time. Negatives are that it was very expensive -- though this is probably a case of you get what you pay for -- and more concerning, the job came in significantly over estimate, though after negotiation he knocked some of the additional cost off. Really, though, I can hardly complain because the house has never looked this good.

They were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They were very helpful, quick, and they communicate very well. They gave me estimates right away and they are reasonably priced.

The painters were prompt, professional and courteous. They completed their work in a very timely manner and the work was excellent. I would recommend Honsowitz Painters to anyone.

He is a perfectionist. He will keep coming back until the job is done to your satisfaction. He uses high quality paint. He is an expert at the pre work that needs to be done before the actually painting needs to be done. For example he makes sure the sanding and patching of wood is done before he starts to paint.

I will probably use him again in the next year or so for another building I have. I have a 3000 square foot house which is 2 storied and I had him paint the east and north side of the house. He likes to use duration paint, which is expensive, but has a 25 year guarantee. I actually painted my house 20 years ago and he has become a very good friend. He cares a lot and the price is a little above average. I will definitely use him again in the future.

The men do the outside stuff, and the women do the inside stuff. I just feel real comfortable with them in my home. I don't think there's anything they can improve because they're doing top notch work. They accommodate my schedule to the point I don't mind leaving my house. I can leave the house when needed. I find them to be very trustworthy. I give out their cards to other people who like my paint work.

They were very efficient! They performed the entire process quickly and easily! I would highly recommend them.
