Metro Detroit Landscape & Commercial Snow Removal

I contacted them on May 30 to perform grading and sod installation for two houses. The estimator came out on June 7 to measure and take photos of yards. I was contacted by phone by the estimator on June 9th and they gave me estimates which were acceptable to me. I gave my verbal approval and was told that the work would be performed in 8 to 10 days depending on the weather. This is where things fell apart. I waited 14 days before I started contacting them again. I contacted the estimator by text message 9 times and called the office 3 times over the next 2 weeks to find out what the status. I have all the text messages saved and upon review, they were all very professional and friendly. Finally on July 7th, I got hold of the owner's brother. I told him the story and he stated that I should have received a formal estimate and I should have paid the deposit. I told him that I had never received the estimate, but I would go to their office and deliver the deposit that day. He said that they were now booking at least 8 weeks out and that they would not be able to fit me in sooner. I pleaded for them to come out sooner because of the situation. This caused him to get very angry and said they wouldn't give special treatment no matter the situation. I was angry at that point because their mistakes caused me to miss having a yard available for almost the entire summer. This is when things went a little unprofessional. I cannot comment on the quality of their work, but they need to improve their customer service. I assume that they either have misplaced my paper work or just didn't want the job. Either way, I recommend going somewhere else.
