Tom was very helpful by making a suggestion to change the outlet from 15 amp to 20 amp. We tried that on our own and it solved the problem. We would definitely call WireWorks for any electrical work in the future.

Very pleased in all respects. Tom called in response to my initial phone inquiry next day and came out that same day to provide a detailed estimate which arrived by email a few days later. His prices were about the same as those of another (bigger) company which couldn't make room for me in their schedule. Tom completed all the work along with two of his associates in one day about 10 days after I agreed to the deal via fax. Outstanding service.

The job went fantastically. I am updating the wiring in my farmhouse built circa 1900 that had the pleasure of containing what looks to be the first generation of aluminum wiring. So, my 4 outlets in the bedrooms upstairs just weren't cutting it. I called Tom in to take a look and this is what we came up with: We'd be able to add outlets to the bedrooms so that there's more than one per bedroom (It came out to a total of 10). We'd be able to also add overhead lighting and the light switches for those to get just all around better lighting up there without relying on lamps everywhere. He'd also be able to fix the lighting situation in the hallway that was just relying on one light, and leaving the hall around the corner dark by using two fixtures instead. We also asked him to put in a recessed LED light at the bottom of our rather dark stairs so people would stop missing the last step and fall down them. And then we showed him the bare live wire the previous owners had left in spots in the walls and spaces that they were probably attempting to burn the house down with. Through this entire process, he took it in stride, and gave us different options based on what things would cost, time, and difficulty. He really wanted to make sure we got done what we needed, with a way that would work, without breaking the bank. With the age of the house and what we were looking for, he definitely had his work cut out for him. He quickly was able to schedule us in, and brought two more gentlemen along with him on the day of the project. They showed up promptly, and started early in the morning. Then they proceeded to go non-stop for the next 10+ hours. They moved through the list of tasks with precision and care. One of the lights, Tom warned us would be difficult to put in and he wasn't kidding. Watching him go through the process to get power to where he needed it... yeah. I'm glad I called him in. In fact, there was so much to do, they weren't able to finish it all in one day, and Tom ended up coming back again to finish it all up. But in the interim, he made sure we had lights where we needed it. The second day was used for getting the breaker panel cleaned up and the generator interconnect put in with an interlocking switch. Through it all, they were quick, personable, professional, and took care with everything they did. I'd hire them back without question and will be recommending Wire Works to anyone else that needs an electrician.

One of the best home maintenance projects I have had done at my home! Tom was professional, courteous and extremely helpful throughout the project. Tom and his crew of 2 did an outstanding job. They were on time and on task throughout the day, finishing the job in the same day. All were friendly and courteous, and the job site was cleaned up and returned to the original condition. I would highly recommend Tom and will definitely use Wireworks in the future.

Tom & Pete were very professional very nice people. They did everything I needed plus a few things as they found some of what I had had been damaged. Tom went with the original quote rather than adding the other items needing replacing. Which I greatly appreciated as I did not know. I definitely will have them back in fact I already have asked them to come back and do some more light fixtures and switches that I need done. They did a really really good job I have had electricians before in the past who did not live up to the standards of today. Tom & Pete were awesome very knowledgeable and upgraded all my electrical to the current standard I am very pleased. They were courteous and respectful of my home. They were also very prompt and right on time.

Perfect: Tom answered calls promptly, was on time for estimate and job. He explained everything in advance, discussed options and answered all questions. The men with him were professional and personable as well. The job was completed in one day, this included the outside work. They took extra time to move the line out of sight and checked everything twice before they left. They also left my basement area they worked in, cleaner than when they got here! I love my new fan with remote. Wireworks will be doing some additional work for me for a generator in the future.

The work went very well, I called on a Saturday afternoon and received a call back early Monday morning. The next day he was available at a time that fit my work schedule was that Thursday so we scheduled it out. He was actually running ahead of schedule that day and called to see if I wanted him to come out any earlier, so we moved the appointment ahead a half hour. Once he got there, I walked him through, showing him the issues that I had, he knew that the work would only take around an hour so I went ahead and had him do the work. Everything went great and all of his work seems very solid. I do have another project that will take a little more time, but I will definitely call WireWorks again when I am ready for that work to be done.

Tom was very professional and friendly while he corrected a mess that was made by an obviously inexperienced person. He rewired the switches and connected a hanging light in the dining room.

Tom was excellent, he returned my email the same day and came to do the work the very next day. He kept me constantly informed on when he would be able to get to my house as I had to leave work to let him in for the repairs. Once he got there, he was able to fix/resolve all issues very quickly, walking me through what he was checking and explaining how the issues came about. Very knowledgeable and professional, I will absolutely call him for any future electrical work.

Attempted to contact to rewire an outlet for a new stove. Voicemail says to email, still haven't received a response to my email.

Tom responded to my phone call within 24 hours, and he arrived promptly when he said he would. He asked me a few questions, checked the fuse box and the outlets in the laundry area, and then quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. During this time, Tom was exceptionally friendly and informative. I would hire him again without hesitation.

The lights and outlets in my dining room and sun room haven’t worked since the breaker tripped, and my brother and I tried several times to reset the breaker, with no luck. Tom from WireWorks must have the magic touch, because the breaker reset for him just fine. However, it didn’t fix the problem. Tom checked the wiring in all of the outlets that weren’t working and found the one that was causing the problem. A quick fix of the loose wires and I have lights again! He also redistributed the load on some of the circuit breakers while he was inspecting the electrical panel, and thoroughly explained the options and costs for replacing the panel. I asked if he had time to replace a loose light switch and look at a switch in the garage that I’ve had problems with, and he was able to do both. Tom was prompt, courteous, and extremely helpful in answering all of my questions. He did a lot of work in a fairly short time period. I plan to hire WireWorks to replace my electrical panel early next year, and I would highly recommend this company!

Tom was extraordinarily warm, friendly, productive, timely, thoughtful and advisory. We called on him because of the great reviews he had already received on Angie's List, and found those reviews to be extremely accurate. He came when he had scheduled, worked very productively but also quite quickly, and did an outstanding installation. He tested the work to make sure it functioned properly, as it did. We asked him if he could install a second fixture, because we had just thought about it right before he arrived. He agreed to do so and did a very fine job with it as well. It was complex and took some real creativity to make the installation fit properly, but he did a fine job with it. We had previously paid for an installation, and he did the second one with no extra charge. He is a real asset to the profession and the community.

My experience went very good. Provided a detailed quote, scheduling went smoothly, and job was done well. Tom and associate were very polite working at the house, no problem with kids around, and cleaned up well. There were a few details I noticed where it wasn't going to be easy, but Tom was willing to do what was necessary so that the job turned out the way I hoped. Very happy about that. Seems like he genuinely wants customers to be happy, and I am. It took a bit of time to connect to arrange for the initial quote, but that's more my evening schedule. When it came time to schedule the work, that went very smooth.

Tom was very prompt in responding to my original message, and came out the next day to look at our situation. Within hours he had sent me a quote and we had set up a day for him to do the work. He and his employee Peter arrived on time and worked through the day to complete the job in the time frame promised. They started work around 9:30 a.m. and were finished with everything by 4 p.m. He estimated that the power would be off for about three hours while the new panel was installed, and it took less time than he expected; a very good thing in the winter when no power = no heat! I would definitely hire WireWorks again.

Tom updated the old light fixture with new that is more energy efficient and will last for a longer time.
