I found WireWorks on Angie's list. Tom came out to look at the job and later that day sent a quote for the work. I accepted it and we scheduled the job. Tom said it would take one day. On the scheduled date, he arrived at 7:30 a.m. with his associate Peter. They worked hard all day, but were never too busy to stop and answer questions or explain what they were doing. Both men were professional and polite. As with any construction job, some dust and debris were created. However, Tom and Peter cleaned everything up before they packed up and left. My wife and I were very appreciative of their workmanship and attitude. The job was completed as quoted with no questions or concerns on my part. I would hire WireWorks again, if we need any electrical work in the future and I do recommend Tom and WireWorks to any who are in need of electrical work. As mentioned above, I found Tom through Angie's List and called him based on the total positive feedback given by other customers. And now, I am happy to add to that number of satisfied customers.

We have a chandiler in our foyer that is on the second story. We used to have to get a ladder, climb up to the second story, take it apart, wash it, clean it, then put it back together. Being as that is dangerous we had WireWorks install a key switch for us. It is a switch that is in our closet that now lowers and raises the chandiler to save us the agony and worry of having to climb the ladder and clean it. They came out, were very professional, efficient, and clean. I am very thankful for WireWorks and would definitely recommend them to anyone

He was very nice and spent time to figure out what the main source of the problem was. Explained how things were being replaced and allowed me to take pictures of the damage caused by the roofing company ( So I could bill them and have proof ) I will be using this business to replace my entire panel next year! And anything in between.

Tom came out diagnost the problem. In a attempt to save us money, he even had me contact BWL to have them come out and make sure problem was not in their lines. Tom was very informative, polite, his dress was neat and clean. I had already contacted about 4 other companies, most were busy and the wait for an estimate was apprx 1 week. I contacted wireworks last because I had read their reviews , people were happy with the work, but had mentioned his pricing was a little high., But I called him and left a message and he called me back with 30 minutes. He came out the next day, gave us a price to do job, and I was pleasantly surprised to find his estimate was about the same as the rest. He explained problem and also a couple of solutions. He just seemed like a honest person and that was one of the reasons why we chose him. The electric in the whole house was out most of the time, so we really needed the job done ASAP. Tom scheduled the work 2 weeks out , so I was very happy when he called to say he could do work the the next day. So from the time he did estimate to the completion and installation of the electric panel it was 4 days. In future, for our electrical work, we will definitly call Wireworks first.

Came out after hours ahead of schedule because he was in the area. He was very helpful and helped us find the live switches in the fixture spot. Set the fixture up from the box. Also tacked on an additional outlet secure that was not planned on this visit. Excellent and we will be sure to use this electrician again.

Tom arrived 15 minutes early, gave me an estimate in just a few minutes, and got to work right away. He worked quickly and professionally; the actual cost ended up being about $100 less than his estimate. Highly recommended.

Called back quickly, came when he said he would, and did a good job.

My husband is an electrical engineer and is usually very critical of electrical work, but he had nothing but praise for Tom and his crew from WireWorks, I was extremely impressed by their professionalism and work ethic, and we are absolutely thrilled with the results. We would not hesitate to have them do more work for us. We thought their prices were extremely reasonable and the job was done in a day with minimal mess.

Tom has installed a light/fan combo in my bathroom over a year ago. I noticed a few weeks ago that it was not flush with the ceiling and looked loose. I called Tom and he said he'd come out and look at it. We made arrangements for him to come out today at 5:30pm. He was here at 5:30pm on the button - I could set my watch by him. :) Within a minute of looking at it, Tom had it fixed. Nothing was broken at all; it just needed a screw tightened. Tom showed my how to remove the dome to expose the light and where the screw was to tighten it should it happen again. He did not charge me for this service. I have used Tom a couple of times in the past few years to install new lighting. He does a great job and is a really nice guy. You can see my previous reviews for what those jobs cost. He was very reasonable. So glad I found him on Angie's List.

Every thing went very well and Tom made suggestions to save us money in the upgrade. The work was done on time and under budget. Highly recommended. Honest and efficient.

I call the to find out what was wrong with a stairwell light switch that was connected to another one on another floor that was not working like it should. One of the switches has gone bad and he replaced it. He also check another switch in the bathroom and found it was ok but my problem was cause by me putting the switch plate on to tight. He was on time, worked quickly and charged a fair price. He was polite, friendly, and informative. I was very happy with his work.

He had 2 apprentices working with him, and they were all extremely professional & did a great job overall. I have absolutely no complaints & we are planning on using him again for the next phase of our project. Superb!

Return visit to fix basement light but main purpose was to install a new smoke detector.

Tom Mullaney is the Owner of Wireworks. He is a licensed electrician located in East Lansing. He is extremely busy and in high demand, and, for that reason only, you may have to wait and schedule any ELECTIVE (non-emergent/urgent) job. He?s very honest and up front about his schedule, as he has a ton of customers who rely on him for urgent matters. We obtained bids for the replacement of our electrical service panel from four different electrical contractors. We wanted the best panel with all of the bells and whistles, with price being the least important factor. His price was tied for the highest at $1450, and others were between $750 and $850--which is a huge difference. We were happy to pay for the quality and expertise that Tom Mullaney provides. Tom is an absolute class act, is very professional, clean-cut, an excellent communicator, a great listener, and he is very experienced. He came out about six weeks before the job to assess and bid the job, and he indicated that he would email me the quote and let me know when he could do it. We received the email quote. It took several weeks for him to give us a firm date, because he was so busy, but we told him that we were totally fine with that, because this was not an urgent matter. He showed up on time for the installation, and he used two, young apprentices--which came as a surprise to us. He handled the permits. They seemed to put safety first, and they were very professional. They finished in about six hours. Per my request, I asked them to NOT label the panel (because I'm a neat freak), but just write down the corresponding circuit descriptions, which they did neatly on a cardboard box. Two of the breakers (written on the cardboard box) were "labeled" in error, but it was no big deal, because I figured it out right away. I'll attach photos for you to see the results! We were extremely pleased with the quality of work Tom Mullaney of Wireworks provides.

Wonderful. Tom is by far the best electrician I have ever done business with. He is fast, fair and reasonable. He will work with what your needs are, let you know what is necessary and what should be done in near future. I highly reccommend his services and have shared his business contact with friends and colleagues. Tom is someone you can trust to provide highly professional service without taking advantage of clients. Will most certainly go with him again if the need arises.

Prompt, on-time and reasonable price. It was much cheaper than Consumer's Power and my insurance adjuster had estimated.

Tim was very professional when he returned my call. We quickly set a day & time for the work. He arrived at 8 on the dot! He was very professional and friendly. He completed the work and cleaned up each area he worked in. I am very pleased with this company and will always call him for any future electrical work!

Initially I was optimistic about the electrician as he was able to schedule me fairly quickly for the repair. However, on the day of the service he did not show up nor did I get a telephone call. I did call the electrician but I did not receive a response. The appointment was scheduled for Friday. On Sunday evening I finally received a call from the electrician saying that his phone had not been working for two days which is why he did not call me.
