I went to Lowes and purchased a new faucet for a lesser price than the one the meridian plumber quoted me and scheduled installation with Lowes. They must have an arrangement with Hedlund because it was a man from Hedlund plumbing who came to install the faucet. I chatted with him and explained the problem. He then asked if he could take a look at my original faucet before he installed the new replacement since it was a much better expensive Grohe. Long story short. He took the faucet appart, saw the line was clogged, cleaned out the calcium and put the faucet back together. Viola. I spent an additional $119 and returned the new faucet to Lowes. Now why couldn't the man from Merdian have done that and saved me the cost of a second plumber with a second servie fee?! He wanted me to spend $500 more on one of his faucets! I called Merdian to voice my complaint and they said they would get back to me.....still waiting...

See above - we would use them again.

They were prompt. I thought they were little bit expensive but they did really good work. They did the job on time. They did it for the amount they quoted me. They were available for follow-ups and concerns that I had. They were very prompt in responding to that. They were good. Everything is holding up very well. I would use their services again in the future.

We got more for our money from them than another place we looked at and I will use them again in the future.

I did not spend anything. The price they quoted me was about $4000. I thought they did a really good job analyzing what my needs were and gave me a prompt estimate. It was a woman who came out and she was just fine. There were no complications. I did not use them for anything so I could not judge them on quality. They came exactly when they said they were going to.

They came when they said they would. They cleaned up after themselves and left right on time. They are very good at what they do.

This business is well run. I stopped into the show room to look at options, ended up finding what I wanted on line and they ordered it after an estimator came to my house and gave an estimate on what the jobs would cost. The estimator and the plumber who did the work - professional, courteous, efficient. Meridian hires good people who you don't mind having in your house...and they clean up after themselves. You do get what you pay for with them. My contact with the person scheduling my work was a bit tedious, I had to call several times for updates - sometimes the response was a bit slow, but nothing I couldn't live with. I was ordering a brand new faucet trim and had to wait for Delta to ship it. On the day of the work, the scheduler did call to tell me that the plumber had been delayed at his first job of the day. They offered to reschedule or gave me an estimate of 1 - 2 hours late. I opted to wait and he arrived within 30 - 40 minutes of the end or the originally scheduled arrival time window. I thought the cost for the project - especially installation of the outside faucets was high, but in line with the other and quot;majorand quot; companies in Lansing. So I bit the bullet and as always glad when I do because Meridian's people are good. While the plumber was waiting for someone to deliver some equipment (the cost was for the job not hourly, so I wasn't paying for him to wait) he did a little something extra for me that made a huge difference to me. Since purchasing a new washer my pipes were banging when water turned off during cycle. He told me what I could do to try and track down the area and how I could strap/secure the pipes to help the problem but warned me it could be tedious to track it down. However, while he was waiting he had a suspicion on where the banging was happening and he installed 4 small plastic and quot;strapsand quot; to secure the supply pipes and guess what - my house is quiet when I do laundry now! This type of service is what I like about Meridian. The and quot;strapsand quot; probably cost Meridian pennies, he didn't have to do this for me, but he had some time and it made me an even happier customer who will be willing to pay the somewhat higher prices again for the assurance of a pleasant experience from people who know what they are doing and will go the extra mile for you!

We had our central A/C replaced and the bought the model with the highest energy efficiency. We called them on a Saturday because our old unit died during a heat wave. They did not get back to us until Tuesday. To make up for their slow response (we are regular customers), they repaired our old unit for free while we waited for the new unit to come in. Too bad the heat wave had ended! They also gave us the 10-year warranty on the new unit for free. Mike Farhat was very professional. These folks do install right. No cutting corners, top-quality materials. We have never had a problem with the hot-water heater or furnace that we bought from them. We have not yet used the new A/C other than to try it out. We used our new AC unit last summer and it worked well, better than our previous one.

The quality of the work was good. The workmen were professional. The cost was high. I was in an emergency furnace situation. i should have gotten other estimates. I feel I could have gotten this done for much cheaper. I will never know, if this was a and quot;you get what you pay forand quot; situation but everyone I talked to afterwards assured me I could have gotten this replaced for less.

Everything went well, but we went with another company because they didn't provide the services to the extent that we needed.

I had a good interaction with them. They have done a water heater for us before that has been working fine. They are good and very professional. They did not leave any mess, and the parts they used for the installation were of high quality.

I have used Meridian plumbing for many jobs over the years. Although their pricing can be quite high, I felt like the cost of the work done here was quite reasonable considering everything that needed to be done and how screwy the plumbing was previous to my purchasing the house 12 years ago. The cast iron pipes were original to my 1961 home and beginning to rust with some spots that I didn't want to touch for fear of causing a catastrophe. Because the pitch was wrong, the old pipes didn't drain properly and sewage was backed up into the air vents which Meridian capped off for me. They told me the next time I have the roof done, to call them about having these air vent pipes removed so that the holes in my roof can be repaired at that time. It's a wonder that I haven't had more problems over the years. Craig did the initial estimate and measurements. He was very personable to talk with, answered all my questions, was very helpful and willing to work with my schedule as much as possible. Originally, we had planned on having everything done the same week in September so I wouldn't have to take so much time off work. Unfortunately, the subcontractor was unable to meet that schedule for the glass block window install and so the bathtub remodel part of the job had to be delayed two weeks. Craig scheduled two people to come out the first day to ensure that the old pipes would be removed and that I would have at least one working toilet and sink by the evening, for which I am very thankful. After that, the work seemed to proceed at a good pace. Craig also coordinated the installation of my new furnace and a/c (see previous review) to be done that same week in September and everyone worked well together ensuring that the job went smoothly and relatively quickly. Considering the amount of smelly mess that could've happened when removing the old pipes which were badly clogged, the guys did an excellent job keeping my house clean. There was very little cleaning for me to do after they were done. It was also very helpful that one of the guys pointed out to me that I needed to purchase some lint traps for the end of the washer hose to prevent too much lint and pet fur from draining into the new laundry tub. Otherwise, the pump would have to work too hard and possibly burn out too quickly. He described the lint traps well enough that I was able to find them easily at Home Depot. The remodel of the bathtub area went fairly smoothly as well. Although, the subcontractor had to delay the window install by one day when the fellow was hurt on a previous job, causing this part of the job to last three days rather than the scheduled two. Other than that, it went well and the bathtub, wall surround and window look nice and work great. I did notice on the fourth day, when I was hoping to finally get a shower, that the drying caulk had shrunk too far in one small area and I had to "patch" it with the clear caulk I had in the house and wait another day to take my shower. Thankfully, it was the weekend and I didn't need to be at work until I was able to shower and feel clean again. Overall, I am very pleased with the work done and how helpful everyone at Meridian has been.

I really appreciated talking with Melvin Frazier when I was getting estimates for this work. It was very nice to talk to the person who would actually perform the work rather than a sales person. Melvin answered all my questions and gave me his recommendations without being pushy. Melvin and a co-worker/assistant showed up on time the day work was scheduled to begin. They worked around my schedule when I had to leave for an evening appointment and came back early the next day to make sure everything would be done that day. Melvin even spent time explaining the new wholehouse air cleaner, how to clean it and put it back together properly. We were both surprised how much pet fur it had pulled through the ductwork during the first half hour it was turned on and Melvin cleaned the filters for me while I watched that first time. After that, very little fur was evident so it did an excellent job cleaning my ducts just as it was supposed to do. The assistants in the office were also very helpful when I had questions, answering promptly even if just to say they would get back to me once they had the information from Melvin. I signed up for the extended service warranty which includes two inspections and cleanings the first year and extends the manufacturer's warranty several years. I plan on having Meridian checking the furnace and a/c in future to keep it running in top form and, hopefully, prevent any problems.

They checked all plumbing in the house, loosened a connection to the wash tub basin that now leaks, took the cap off of the sewer line and it wouldn't fit back on. It leaked sewage on the basement floor when the system was used for the first time after. These items were not included in the request for service or the estimate, just something they did to allow them to write up 4 more estimates for work they thought needed to be done on the house (about another $10,000) The $55 fee for coming to give the estimate is not taken off of the bill even if you get work done. The work they actually did that was requested was pretty good. They subcontracted someone to patch the wallboard from the removal of the old sink. They took off the floorboard trim and didn't replace it with anything. It was a small remodel, but could have been done better for the amount of money we paid.

hey did an excellent job. We kept a service agreement for two years there after, however when we needed an estimate to replace the drain stack between our 2nd floor and basement, a rather immediate need, they could not get to it for a whole week. We felt we should have had quicker attention since we had been paying for the service agreeement for two years. We called two other plumbers and they were out within 24 hours. We consequently hired Michigan Plumbing and they did an excellent job quickly even though it was the Friday of memorial weekend 2010. If our experience with Meridian had ended in 2008, they would have all A's (except price), but we felt totally let down by them in 2010.

We have used them a lot. The installed a garbage disposal and also did the plumbing for a bathroom remediation. They are always on time and wear boots when they come in and are very clean and clean up everything before they leave. They are very courteous and these are things that are important and are things you don't find anymore, so I would rate them highly. Their pricing is very high.

The overall work was solid but the plummer was difficult to communicate with.

They were friendly and punctual. They contracted the painter who did a really good job. They also finished the job in the time that they estimated. They gave us a better price than two other contractor's that gave us bids. The quality of the work is excellent and they always called before they came. They were very professional and worked well with a design that I drew up for them prior to the work. They were respectful of our home by using plastic runners on the floor, cleaned up everyday after their work and they didn't make any messes. It was such a pleasant experience, I'd like to do it again.

I was very unhappy with them. I later found out that there were much better toilets than what they put in. I was extremely busy. They said they had a toilet on the truck ready to go if I wanted to because he looked inside and said to fix what was wrong would be about $200.00 which was ridiculous. I knew that that was silly because what's inside a toilet we can fix. We couldn't possibly just spend that much money. But I was busy and I just wanted it taken care of. He said he had one of the new super efficient ones and when I asked him if it was one of the leading brands, he said yes and that they dealt with that brand. It was that brand. However, it plugged constantly and when I called the firm, somebody picked up and said that those were discontinued. So I paid top dollar for a discontinued toilet. And they could have put another brand for a lot less money. For that kind of money that's what they should have been putting in. That brand is almost as good as a third brand, a well-known one with a superb toilet that's low water and doesn’t clog. I trusted them and instead they took me for a ride. When I called them about it and told them that it was really unfair and that I had looked and I had seen one. I can buy it for myself, given the price. I told them that I really thought that they should really come and take the one that is discontinued out and put the one I had seen in. They weren't going to do it. I got tired of calling them, so the situation stands as is. This was a while ago and I have just given up on it. As far as quality of work was concerned, he installed the toilet okay but he scammed me. There are two parts to it. One, he put in the existing toilet right and two, he should not have put that toilet in. They were punctual. I am mad enough with them. I would not use them again.

I will never use this company again and will warn everyone I know about doing business with them. When I called in another company, MICHIGAN PLUMBING, I received the best service from Kevin who fixed my problem completely- and also made over $1,500.00 for his company replacing the water heater.

They professional. They did an excellent job. They showed up on time and were very dependable. Definitely recommend, I would definitely use them again. Great company.
