I love them. They do a great job. I bought a plan from them and they come out twice a year and check the air. They are very thorough, accurate and they clean up after themselves.

It went worked out fine. I would use them again. They did more than I expected. They fixed what the installers screwed up. The workers were very knowledgeable. He did was he was supposed to do and went about his business.

It went okay. I was very happy with the service. The workers were excellent. They were very thorough and explained what they were doing.

The work went very well. The price is a little high but the work is quality.

In fact one of the men that came put my garbage disposal in twenty years ago had his name on it so they're very nice, the office staff is good.

Other than Board of Water and Light not marking the water lines so they had to stop work until the next day, they did a great job and were awesome. Very professional and explained everything in layman's terms and kept us informed of everything at all times.

The replacement bulb came quickly (two business days) and Melvin came right out to the house to replace the bulb for me. Having the office reps call me at my work so I can meet him at the house is a great option so I can fit the appointments into my "lunch hour."

Kyle did a great job from quoting job to installing the tables water heater. Quality was great and he installed it exactly were we discussed. It was not the cheapest option and more than I wanted to pay, but by coming out to look at the job and quote me exactly what it would take to get the job done gave me a sense of comfort. Also the warranties that they offered help me in my decision to go with Meridian. So far I am glaD I went with them.

It was pretty expensive. The furnace was new, it was put in very poorly and so they repaired it. It was a great furnace but poorly installed. I will absolutely use them again. I will highly recommend them. They were excellent. I like that they were so clear in explaining about our new thermostat. They were clean. They explained what was going to be happening and how they will do what was going to be happening. They gave us three different choices that we had to pick so I felt part of the process.

No supervisor on call to report Andrew's atrocious behavior, no one in the office on Saturday, no heat. Poor customer service. Kurt the supervisor called to blame me for not servicing yearly and my warranty does not apply without regular maintenance, however the contract says nothing about regular maintenance for warranty. Kurt stood by his $255 service fee for the weekend. No apology for his tech's behavior. No wonder because that customer blaming comes from the top down in this company. Beware if you ever need a problem solved on your HVAC after hours.

Was dishonest with us. They fixed an stopped up toilet, but left an hole dug up in the yard, and never came back to cover it up.

The service went well in that the repair was done well and quickly. However, the price was outrageous. Parts were probably $30 at most, although the bill was not itemized. So labor on the quote of $339 (after a $25 coupon) was around $300. When I questioned the cost, the plumber, Dale, said that it was priced according to a "book" for that particular job. Against my better judgement, I said OK. Then I went out for a walk. When I returned 30 minutes later, he was already in his truck getting ready to leave. When I expressed my amazement that his "book" charged over $300 for a 30 minute job - a hour at most including diagnosis and drive time, he said that, well, I agreed to the price. And I had. But I stated that, had I known that the job was less than hour's labor, I would not have agreed to it. BTW, they still charged me a $55 service call even though I agreed to have them do the work. Dale suggested that I call his supervisor. I did. The surpervisor was only willing to deduct the $55 service call charge, which lowered the bill to $284. I had offered $200, quite generous IMO. He then also pointed to the "book" and said that he could not lower the price further. He asked where I came up with $200 and I said that it was based on the actual time it took to do the job $150/hr. labor plus parts. I asked how the "book" could justify over $300? He had no answer; i.e. no labor rate, time estimate, etc. IMO, this company gouged me. I should have known better, but hopefully others will read this and learn.

My husband and I pulled out the old toilet in my master bath and I cleaned out the old wax. We were ready to set the new toilet in place when we noticed the flange that held the bolts was broken. We called Meridian Plumbing to look at the job. My husband agreed to let the guy do the job for $800... For installing a $20 flange repair kit and resetting the toilet, a job that took him all of an hour. I was dumbstruck when I found out. We had done all the work of removing the old toilet, cleaning out the wax, and having the new toilet ready to install. $800 is outrageous.

My sump pump quit Christmas evening. I was alerted to the problem by the sound of my backup sump pump?s alarm going off. Since I believed that it was still under warranty, I called Meridian Plumbing knowing that they had an exorbitant after hours charge. Because I had a maintenance contract with them for 2014, they did discount the emergency charge $55 (the normal dispatch fee). Unfortunately, I was informed that the manufacturer of my sump pump was no longer making that model and therefore it was not under warranty. I had to pay the full price of of a main sump pump plus the emergency fee (minus the small discount). When the pump died, I immediately inspected the end of the outflow pipe where it has been blocked in the past and burned out the pump. I routinely inspect it to make sure leaves have not frozen and created a dam. It was not blocked this time. The technician did a good job and crawled under my deck to inspect the outflow where it leaves my basement and enters the pipe to cross the backyard to make sure it was not blocked. Discovering that there were leaves and debris blocking the pipe, he cleared it out and let me know that I needed to find a way to prevent this from happening again. At that time, it wasn?t clear if my backup sump pump had also died since it had not run since the first time the alarm went off, alerting me to the problem, or if the battery had died. I asked about having it replaced and was informed that Meridian only sells a $2000 system that ties into the city water and does not need a battery. The following week, I was able to determine that my backup sump pump had indeed died. My battery was quite old and even though it was holding a charge, I was aware that it should be replaced as well. Upon further research, I was not happy with the new water-based backup pump system information plus there was just no way that I could afford $2000 at this time. I called Meridian and arranged to take time off work to have the technician return to give me other options for replacing my backup sump pump explaining that the cost of his original quote was out of my reach. Sadly, the only other system that Meridian sells is a combined unit that would replace the main pump I had just purchased with a main pump and backup pump in the same housing and this still cost $2000. Questioning that if one of those pumps died, would I have to replace the entire thing, the reply was the individual pump could probably be replaced rather than the entire unit, but they had no experience with that situation as yet. As I asked more questions, the technician found other things that needed to be fixed/replaced bumping up the estimate further. I said that I had to look into my options to see if I could possibly get a loan to have the work done before committing to anything. I was charged $55 for the estimate with the understanding that it would be deducted from the work total if I proceeded with the job. I called and talked to the plumbing service manager at Meridian explaining that I just could not afford either of the systems they quoted me and didn?t understand why they could not get a simple replacement for what I had. I could see that Amazon was selling units similar to what I needed, surely a plumbing company could get and install something within my budget. The manager hemmed and hawed, saying something about having to check with his supplier to see if it was possible. I did not receive a call back from him. In the meantime, I told my uncle about all of this and he came over to check out the situation. He was able to loosen the valves on the water main with a monkey wrench that the technician had declared were frozen and needed to be replaced. My uncle explained that the valves needed to be ?exercised? so that they would not freeze like that, but at this time, they just needed extra elbow grease to get them working again. Something the technician did not explain or try to do, simply added it to the estimate for work needing to be done. Two other plumbing companies have also decided that the $2000 water backup sump pump is the only way to go and would not even give me an estimate for replacing my backup sump pump with something that I could afford. One company that I called prefers the water backup sump pump, but understanding my predicament sent out a technician to check my situation. He was able to replace my backup sump pump with the same (but newer) model including a new marine gel battery and digital trickle charger readout for half the cost of the water-based system. I will not be using Meridian for future plumbing needs.

They were extremely professional and friendly. They gave us detailed information about what they wanted to do, gave us sketches of what it would look like, and were responsive to our preferences. It took over six weeks to finish, but they did very good work and were extremely kind about invading our private space over such a long time. Once my wife noticed that they had used silver appliances but a pair of screws at our new door were gold. They changed it right away. Yes, they were expensive! If we had shopped around more we might have found somebody who would have shaved off 10% or 20% of the cost. But they did extremely professional work and were very responsive to our needs. We appreciated that and would hire them again!
