Description of Work: The team were able - through some great investigation - identify the sources of two issues and quickly resolved the one plumbing issue and recommended another business (even called them on our behalf!) to take care of the other problem. Great teamwork!

Description of Work: Replaced 2 furnaces and 2 central air units; installed tankless water heater, repaired numerous plumbing leaks; repaired main water shut-off valve; brought other minor plumbing problems to code. Did awesome work, and they were great about keeping us informed throughout the process.

Description of Work: I recently had a new furnace installed. I also added air conditioning. They were in my home for two days. I was impressed by the workers, very professional, cleaned up work area each day, went right to work and got it done. I would use this business again.

Description of Work: I have used Meridain Plumbing twice and that is enough. To begin with, they charged $55 (added into final cost)just to show up in 2009 to repair a leak in my septic waste line. The fix was to install a very short PVC pipe and the plumber seemed to have a hard time installing the two flexible couplings. He also had to refer to a book about pricing and said my situation would cost more than what he had been told was the case (by his boss). He spent a couple of hours and charged $668. Some years earlier, I had a more extensive problem, also in the low pressure septic line. Some copper pipe was removed by a different Meridian employee and replaced with PVC, but when I mentioned the job and cost to my plumber nephew (in another state), he felt the charge was a good deal beyond reasonable.

Description of Work: Meridian Plumbing installed a Stevens sump pump and Guardian water back-up sump pump in 2008. The Stevens pump had a seven year warranty. In May, 2011, late Friday night during torrential rains, I discovered the Stevens sump pump was short-cycling and not pumping water out. Fortunately, the Guardian back-up pump was kicking in and doing the job. I immediately called Meridian plumbing after hours service. The lady took my information and said the plumber on duty would call within the hour. He, in fact, called within the hour, we discussed the situation and agreed that since the Guardian pump was handling the situation, it did not necessitate an emergency repair call that night but could be handled the next day (a Saturday). I called Meridian Plumbing first thing Saturday morning and they said the plumber would call when he was on his way but it should be between 12:00 noon and 2:00PM. Sure enough, he called at 12:15PM and was at my house by 12:45PM. He pulled the Stevens pump and replaced it with a sump pump from a different company indicating they had been having problems with Stevens pumps failing of late. And, while the new sump pump has a standard one year warranty, since I was only three years into the seven year warranty on the Stevens, they guaranteed the new pump for the remaining four years! My cost was for the service call and the installation costs--not for the cost of the pump since it was under warranty. We agreed to some additional repairs related to the sump pump and I was very pleased with the job. The plumber was informative, courteous, and careful not to make a mess walking across our recently cleaned carpets.
