Blue Sky Painting did an excellent job of painting the trim and walls of the 1st floor of our condo, the stairway going upstairs, and the hallway and bathroom on the 2nd story. They did a wonderful job prepping the walls and trim which included dry wall repairs, sanding, fixing nail pops and taping. The fireplace surround had just been rebuilt and they put all new drywall around the area. The entire area was wrapped and the trim was spray painted, which came out perfect. The walls look like new. The crew is very skillful and professional. I was especially happy that they worked with me to accommodate several changes I wanted to make to the original plan. They were able to accomplish everything I wanted. I would hire them again with no reservations.

Blue Sky Painting did an outstanding job painting our house and staining our gazebo. They prepped the house by power washing, scraping, sanding and caulking. They replaced any rotting or split planks in our cedar siding. Then, they painted with two coats. Wow! It was 100% better than any house painters we've ever used before. And, their actual painters were absolute perfectionists. It has been over 3 years since they painted and we are still extremely satisfied. I wish all contractors had their integrity and work ethics.

Dave and Rick at BSP understand that design, good communication, prep work, and site planning are just as important as the actual painting. The whole crew did a great job! In addition to being amazing painters, they were always willing to work with us. In fact, Rick, the lead painter, had great follow through with us during the project and addressed any questions or concerns on a daily basis. We are so happy with the work they did - and the friendliness and professionalism they bring!

In my East Lansing home, I recently had Blue Sky Painting paint the wood siding on the enclosed porch, the kitchen walls, kitchen ceiling, front and back doors and door frames. The work was great. I donâ t usually take the time to write reviews, but I was most pleased with the service I received. The company owner and his painting foreman and crew were easy to contact, responsive, professional, trustworthy, and did excellent work. They took care to protect the floor, furniture, and counters; they kept in communication about their work schedules, and they cleaned up after the work. The painters went above and beyond what I had originally asked them to do, and I was most pleased with the result.

Our company has been doing business for the last several years with Blue Sky Painting. They have done outstanding, quality work and we were very pleased with the outcome for our events at Averill Elementary and Cinderella's Closet.

I hired Blue Sky for a large project that was to be done in two episodes. The first involved plaster repair of a great room ceiling and a hall and painting. I scheduled this work while we were out of town. When we returned the areas which had been identified as needing repair of plastering were not all completed. We were out of town an entire week, long enough to complete the job. The job stopped until nearly a month later leaving my house is disarray. When the second project began this work was folded into the project. The second phase included two bedrooms, walls and ceilings and closet, a bathroom and attached dressing room, walls and ceiling and closet. There was plaster work in the bathroom ceiling. Additionally, painting of a storage room walls and ceiling and an upper hall and stairwell and a lower hall and stairwell and closet including plaster repairs. When I hired Blue Sky I specified that the job needed to be done in sections because otherwise the entire house would be is disarray. Dave agreed. In truth Rick arrived and proceeded to paint all the ceilings at once. We moved furniture to the middle of the room. We emptied three closets that he stated would be painted in one day. They were not. One closet was painted. In two days Rick, Israel and Robert attempted to paint both halls, both stairwells, the storage room. Despite clearly stating I wanted my carpeting protected, new carpeting that is less than 3 months old has paint on it. Other carpeting also is painted. The trim in our home is natural and because they rushed the job they did not keep the lines clear between the wall and the trim. Some areas of the wall along the trim are not painted. When they left there was dust from sanding, and paint on the trim where they removed tape. They did not reinstall a cool air vent or the smoke alarm. In their rush they left with our house key. At the beginning of the painters arrival, we discussed and agreed to leave the storage room because there was no place to move the items in storage. Nonetheless, Rick moved ahead to remove a storage rack and began spackling while there was an uncovered upholstered chair and bed pillows and linens that also were not protected by a drop cloth. The baby grand piano was not protected and evidenced water marks on the top left by the painters placing cold sweating beverages. After they left and I began cleaning up after them I found a plaster shard in my sofa cushions and paint droplets on the great room floor. I am disappointed with the lack of professionalism and regard for my possessions. A new solid cherry desk has yellow paint on the legs and white paint on the top. It is less than 6 months old. Obviously, it was not protected from paint. An additional concern is that rooms that were not involved in the project were entered and questions regarding the contents were posed to us. Rick resists any supervision and Dave does not provide any direction on how the job was bid. At this point Dave and Rick are to return and review our concerns, however, how does one remove paint from carpets and damage to furniture?

I am very happy with the work that Blue Star Painting performed on our home. They painted all the exterior trim on our house in a timely and professional manor. They did high quality work. They were meticulous in their detail and when they were finished they walked us around the house to make sure we were pleased with the work . I am impressed with their work ethic. Storm and Brian were very were very quick in repairing my drywall ceiling and they were very helpful in making recommendations for home improvements. Will definitely be calling them again.

The work is excellent! The house and shutters look terrific. Dave and his crew were on time, professional, cleaned up after themselves and the work was extremely satisfactory. Juan (One of the crew members) is a master at his trade. He made sure that everything he did met his own approval for a job well done. Would hire Dave and his company again for future painting.

Brian and Storm had trouble with a peeling ceiling but wouldn’t quit until they got it right. Even warranted the work for a year.
