I decided to try this company again and was delighted by the experience. I called on a Friday and asked for service on Monday morning while I was in town for a short visit. They were able to work me in. They arrived promptly and did a remarkable job. Everything was cleaned impeccably and they were extremely professional and courteous. I will definitely use Mighty Maids again.

I had a very difficult time finding a cleaning service in Houghton, MI. After much research and references to references, I'd received 2 quotes of $500. That seemed extravagant. I'm from Baton Rouge / New Orleans area in Louisiana (total population >1.5 million), so perhaps we have more competition there, but a high priced house cleaining service wouldn't charge me more than $175 to do this job, probably much less. Someone referred me to Mighty Maids. Gina was so nice, responsive and accomodating, I was delighted. I arranged for the realtor to meet her at the property within a couple days of my call to her, she quoted me $140 to do a general housekeeping on a clean, empty 1400 sq ft house with 1 bathroom. I told her we only needed a "touch up" of general house cleaning, but really wanted the inside of the kitchen cupboards cleaned. And anything else she saw that needed a good cleaning. She was able to expedite the job and get it done the very next day, the day before our arrival. Again, I was delighted. I mailed the check that day. At my request, she texted me while at the property to let me know what furniture was there. (We purchased the property from LA after having seen it only once.) She was so nice and accomodating, I was prepared to give her an A+++ rating on Angie's List. Until we arrived and I realized we had to clean the stove (inside and out) and clean out all the interiors of the kitchen cupboards. A lot of work I was hoping to avoid with my $140 purchase. Maybe I expected too much? In all fairness to Gina, I didn't call her to question the service that was done. We just assumed they did a general housecleaning and forgot about the stove, oven and inside of the kitchen cupboards.
