Monday, 4/14 I talked to Mitch Maher on the phone. He was wondering if he could come over in an hour to look at my step. Mitch arrived and he was very nice. He said he would take away my old, cracked step. Then he measured it and stated he could pick it up a new one at Darling Builders Supply, if I wanted him to. Mitch said the reason the middle of my step cracked is because it?s hollow so he would put bricks underneath the middle to keep the new step from cracking. This sounded great. Mitch stated that after replacing the step and caulking it, he would put a protective coating not only on the step but on my cement porch and small sidewalk going to the driveway. I told him, ?You are heaven sent!? Finally, someone is helping me with this. I gave him my email address. Mitch said he would put together the cost of the step, delivery, moving out the old step, putting in the new one, caulking, and sealing. Wednesday, 4/16 Mitch emailed me a quote for $390. For all that he planned on doing, it was well worth it so I agreed. Friday, 4/18 I called Mitch and asked how the work on my step was going. Mitch said he and his son got rid of the old step and set the new one. Monday, 4/21 Mitch came and caulked my step. Wednesday, 4/23 He came back and sealed my porch/step/sidewalk.
