Classic Pool was very professional and did a wonderful job. We ordered the liner and it took about 3 weeks to get it. Once the liner came in, Classic Pool set up a day and came right out to put the liner in. They finished inserting the liner and filling the pool in one day, despite a thunderstorm. The next day they came to cut around the intake and then they were finished! I was so impressed at how quickly they got the job done. If it hadn't stormed, I think they would have finished in one day.
Description of Work: Classic Pool and Spa emptied our pool and replaced the vinyl liner and fittings in our 18x32 inground pool. They also set up a water truck to deliver 10,000 gallons of water to partially fill our pool (to save money, we filled the rest of the pool with our hose). The water truck accounts for $350 of the amount we spent.

Terrible.
Description of Work: The pool heater which was less than four years old, wasn't working properly and there was a rust spot on the side of the pool that needed to be repaired. They originally started work on 10/08/09. They attempted to fix the heater, but it worked for less than two weeks. The heater was supposed to work automatically, but I had to start and stop it manually. They attempted to fix the rust spot and painted the concrete (Mar-cite) pool , but the rust spot came back within a few months. The bill for the first call was $2000. I had to call them back 12?30/09 because the heater wasn't working and the rust spot was back. They tried to fix the heater, but it still failed to work properly. They chiseled a hole in the pool side above the rust spot and filled it with white cement. The bill was $585. In January 2010 the rust spot was back and the heater still didn't work. The pool is an indoor pool, and a disconnected pool stack caused $102,000 in water damaged to my home. My insurance company picked up the bill, but the house was undergoing repairs from Feb 3 until May 10. Classic Pool acid washed and repainted the pool (a no-no) patched the rust spot hole again, and fixed the heater. The bill this time was $2,400. The rust spot came back again, and the pool heater did not work. The pool heater is not fixed, not by Classic Pool and the new contractor discovered that the pool had been rewired improperly which had burned out the three backup safety switches.

About 3 months later I got the bill from Classic Pool and Spa for $490.67. I immediately called them and like all the other times had to leave a message because they never answer their phone. After 4 or 5 attempts to call them they finally called me back. When I explained the situation to the owner she was apologetic and said they didn't return my called because they had a relative in the hospital, but still demanded I pay the higher amount. I didn't feel I owed her anything because the part they replaced worked fine they MIS -diagagnosed it. After 4 or 5 more calls she did call me back and agreed to not charge me. This took place back in May of 2006. After about 3 months and 20 phone calls I thought we finally has the situation taken care of because the owner agreed they screwed up and was going to eat the bill. I just got a letter in the mail from Classic Pool and Spa threatening me with a collection if I don't pay the bill by 10/08/2008. So I again called them 3 times today and they finally answered the phone. They stated they now have a new biller and are trying to get their records straight. They also used the same excuse as before as to why they didn't call me back in a timely fashion. It seems the owner had an emergency and had to go to the hospital. This company has no clue on what they are doing and will just give you excuses.
Description of Work: I contracted this company to come out to my home to fix my water heater for the pool. They told me it needed a new control valve and they now have to order it. I asked them how much it was going to cost and they looked up the part and even called on it while at my home. They told me it was going to cost $99 for the part and $75 to install it. They ordered the part and said they could have it in 5 days. Three weeks later they came back to install it. After they installed it it still didn't work properly. It would intermittently work just as it had before. I called them back and they sent two other guys out to check it out and they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it so they left and said they would be getting back to me. I probably called them 5 or 6 times to see what they were going to do about it and they just kept saying they would get back to me. I then called another pool place and they sent out their service man and he fixed it on the spot. The control valve they had replaced didn't have anything wrong with it. It worked fine. The part that needed replacing was a sensor that cost $27.00. Of course by then I no longer needed the heater because it was warm outside.
