+ -1 moreI HIGHLY discourage anyone from using Bob’s Small Engine Repair in Dewitt. He charged $180 to ‘fix’ my tractor. We mowed the lawn one time and had the same problem. He will not warranty his work and now wants us to pay $500 to fix it again. He would not apply the work we JUST paid him for towards correctly repairing it. After arguing, he said he’d apply 1 hour towards properly fixing it. When I asked him how much one hour was he hung up on me. Crooked! Oh...his reply about me leaving poor ratings...”I’ll just leave a comment back.” Seriously? He continually insists that I communicate with my husband. All interactions and conversations pertaining to the repairs and prices were done between the owner and myself. He's sexist, dishonest, and does not honor his word nor his work. Most reviews are good that I have found. However, if his original repair does not fix the problem, I have found that the reviews of him honoring it are similar to mine.

Description of Work: Bob looked at my 25 year old craftsman leaf blower and made a couple of carburetor adjustments that smoothed it out and it ran and ran and would not fail like it had for me the past two days. I'm going to put it to work tomorrow and see if his adjustments did the trick. Nice interaction, will definitely have more power tools into his shop for repair. He didn't charge me a dime. Nice guy to work with.

+ -1 moreBob's business is a small bldg behind Terranova's Market on Bridge Street in DeWitt. I dropped off the snowblower after lunch and explained the problem (wouldn't run without choke all the way closed). Bob said he would look at it today(!) and let me know if it would be ready later on this date. I really didn't expect to hear from him the same day, but he called a few hours later and said it was all set. Got it home and it runs like new! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND his business!!
