Description of Work: I had used QL to refi my current home and was very pleased with the entire transaction. So, when I began to search for a new home, I called QL to investigate current programs and interest rates available. QL went to work immediately on my pre-approval. I was asked to supply some basic documentation and I quickly had my pre-approval letter. After making an offer on a home, the sellers and their agent were not familiar with QL. In addition, the sellers were concerned about my ability to gain approval on a mortgage. I am retired and have a unique financial situation. When I told QL about the seller's concerns, my QL mortgage banker called the sellers and their agent and resolved the issue. I am approved and ready to close on my new home. Another smooth, professional process by QL.

Description of Work: I called Quicken Loans to see about a refinance of my mortgage. They offered to cut the rate if I made a 30 year mortgage and paid about $3000 in jpoints. I wanted a 10 year mortgage at a reduced rate. They could not accommodate me. After this call I was besieged by solicitations for their offer. I had to call and complain and ask them to stpp. They were overbearing and demanding. I had a distaste quickly for Quicken.

Description of Work: Quicken contacted me in response to an online request for a refi estimate. Felt like I was dealing with a used car salesman. The rep repeatedly tried to get $500 from me to start the refi process. I gave him the details of my current mortgage and my early payoff plans. After the call, I sat down and did the math to compare my current loan with his proposal. Turns out that it was cheaper for me to keep my current mortgage. Either the rep wasn't competent enough to do the math for the comparison or he wasn't ethical enough to admit that his proposal would have cost more.

Description of Work: We looked into refinancing our home and consolidating some dedit. We had some difficulties with signing paperwork on line We found their web sight not user friendly. they Fed ex paperwork filling it was fine Fed ex it was ok. We had to have a home appraisal. The man was rude. As it was he appraised our home for less than what we needed so the deal is on hold. Their interest rates were good and they were not hard to work with.

+ -1 moreHorrifying experience. The rep was difficult to get ahold of. I didn't realize until it was too late that he put me in the wrong loan type. He said he would change the loan type but he did not. I ended up paying an even higher rate for my mortgage. When I later complained to the company, they blew me off. They got a lot of money from me, for a loan that was not right for me. BUYER BEWARE of this loan shark company. They sound great on the Sunday morning radio show but they are only out for themselves.
Description of Work: I wanted to remortgage my home to get a lower rate.

+ -1 moreTHEY WERE VERY EASY TO WORK WITH. WE APPLIED ONLINE AND THEY CALLED US TO CONFIRM AND REQUEST THE BACKUP DOCUMENTATION THEY NEEDED. THEY THEN SENT US THE PAPERWORK OVERNIGHT AND A MORTGAGE CLOSER CAME TO OUR HOUSE TO FINALIZE THE LOAN. THE CHECK WAS THEN SENT OVERNIGHT 2 DAYS LATER. THE WHOLE PROCESS WAS FAST AND EASY. WE DID RECEIVE SOMEONE ELSE'S LOAN CHECK WITH OUT PAPERWORK, SO SOMEONE HAD SOME PROBLEMS WITH THEM, BUT THEY PROCESSED OUR TRANSACTION PERFECTLY AND AT NO COST TO US.
