Description of Work: Reattached the gutters, downspouts and cleaned the gutters out.

Description of Work: I purchased a "Big Deal" coupon for "$99 for $200 Worth of Gutter Repair or Replacement". The deal details where as follows: |"Gutter system inspection |$200 worth of gutter services will typically cover one of the following: 100 linear feet of gutter re-securing, sealing of up to eight gutter seams, 50 linear feet of new five-inch gutter installation or 50 linear feet of no-clog gutter cover installation." | |We were informed by the technician that this deal didn't include gutter replacement or materials. He quoted and estimate of an additional $120 to clean/repair/seal/and relocate a downspout (per our request). While this seemed a fair estimate, the amount of gutters on the home fell withing the the replacement amount stated in the details of the "Deal". We did not proceed with the work, and are seeking a refund of the "Deal" amount from Angie's List. It is disappointing to read the fine print of a deal, take time off of work to schedule an appointment during "normal business hours" only to find out the provider doesn't interpret the deal the way it was presented. I'm not sure Detroit City Sweep and Angie's List were in agreement as to what this "Deal" was, and we didn't feel comfortable having the work preformed in that ambiguity. I will read the word "typically" very carefully in the future.

Description of Work: I had a Groupon coupon for them and then looked them up on Angie's. |They cleaned chimney and made recommendations on the gas log replacement- very positive!

Description of Work: We had a gas insert fireplace cleaned, but weren't aware it wasn't working properly. The technician was very polite and kept things as clean as possible. He didn't check the vent outside (which was blocked by a bird nest), but maybe that wasn't part of the cleaning and checkup we purchased.

Description of Work: Steve came out and cleaned my gutters. Excellent work, he was very professional. He even showed me pictures of the gutters after he was completed. He recommended additional things that he suggested needed attention with regards to my chimney and no pressure at all. I did decide to stick with Detroit City sweep for these services scheduled for the near future.

Description of Work: Very professional, put covers on his shoes, kept the area clean, provided advice and answered all my questions about burning wood inside, and provided information about a new chimney cover but did not pressure me to buy anything.

Description of Work: Dean Steele from Detroit City Sweep did a beautiful job of repairing and tuckpointing my chimney. He was professional, courteous and very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend him.

Description of Work: Everything went fine. Just don't notice any improvement in the performance of my 3-sided gas fireplace...it seems to burn more lopsided than it used to. It is possibly the fireplace and not this company.

Description of Work: The chimney sweep part was fine but the guy knew nothing about the part of the deal where you get $100 free masonry work and said I'd have to call the office about it.
