The process and work was excellent.

For $99, I think I got a good value. They cleaned out and made sure my fireplace that hadn't been started in years worked perfectly. I would use this company again.

On the first call, an appointment was set up for them to come out and provide an estimate. They never showed up- when I called, I was told my appointment was not in their system and was rescheduled. On the day of the new appointment, they had not arrived by the end of the time range. I called and was told they would still be there that day, and if I had to leave they would still be able to do the estimate and send it to me. I called to follow up and was told they had an estimate and would e-mail it to me. I never received the estimate and no follow-up was done.

On time, professional. We will use again.

(1) I phoned for an appointment Nov 13, 2017. (2) Technicians came on 11-16-17. (3) I had chimney cap installed AND I THOUGHT a chimney video inspection. NEVER saw the video. (4). On 12-6-17, the Chimney Cap was BLOWN OFF OF CHIMNEY and LYING BENT in the yard. (5) On 12-6-17 I phoned Det. Chimney to advise them of my concern and request a repair appointment. (I spoke with Brittany.) Technician also said chimney and fireplace was clear. IT WAS NOT. THERE WERE TWO Squirrels inside (died) as a result of their inadequacies. (They had advised me when I made the appointment that they would check for squirrel/bird and they could remove if necessary) What follows here is a travesty!!! I was given an appointment for 12-7-17 BUT NO ONE CAME and NO ONE CALLED. I phoned and they seemed surprised that no one showed for repair. I was given an appointment for the 7th and then again the 8th with the same outcome....NO SHOW & NO CALL. I phoned them on seventh and asked what happened? They said "Oh it was windy, we will be out tomorrow (8th)" NO SHOW. To wrap this up, because I am very frustrated in just typing this review and reliving this debacle, I eventually spoke with a Ms. Moore and she assured me someone would be out. NO SHOW.. I DEMANDED a refund at this point. REFUND finally came on 12-27-17. I ALSO HAD TO HIRE ANOTHER COMPANY TO REMOVE THE 2 dead squirrels and disinfect the area and deal with all of the problems that Det. Chimney's lack of professionalism failed to detect. I WAS ORIGINALLY ADVISED THAT THEY COULD ADMINISTER THESE SERVICES!!! I only received $150 back and I should've demanded the video inspection because you could clearly see the squirrels. I did find that Detroit City Sweep, LLC does not provide the same services to the city residents as it does to its suburbon customers.

Technician was very knowledgeable and professional

Estimate was provided fairly quickly, and an appointment was made for the services to be provided. But then two appointments were missed without a call from the company (both times I called them to inquire about what happened). Finally a tech came on third scheduled appointment. Tech was knowledgeable and thorough, and overall did a great job. They definitely need to work on the scheduling end of the business, and lose points because of that, as it was very frustrating. Ultimately the service provided in the field was excellent, and would use them again because of that.

Everything was done well; he called before arriving, showed up on time, and he cleaned up everything before he left.

They were prompt, courteous, covered my rug and cleaned everything up. I would use them again, I was very satisfied.

The job went very well. The chimney was completely inspected and cleaned. My chimney was not that bad so the job did not take long. The young man performing the work was very knowledgeable and polite. I would do business with this company again and recommend them to family and friends.

We are very pleased with this service. We were concerned about the fireplace, as we had purchased a six-year old house where the fireplace had never been serviced. We purchased an Angie's deal and are happy with the outcome. Tekio, our service professional, did a great job with cleaning and testing the fireplace. Also, gave us a lesson in proper use and care of the fireplace as we had no user manual or instructions.

Good clean and prompt service. Expensive repair needed. Not high priority at this time.

The technician sent out, Chris, was extremely professional. He was punctual and completed the job efficiently. He was very helpful in providing input into areas that he thought needed fixing and even attempted to get someone out that same day to look at potential repairs. We ended up calling and scheduling another visit to get an estimate to fix cracks in the brick.
