Chris was on time, efficient and so clean! The system never looked better -- Chris even cleaned the glass doors! Looks like new and safe to use! We'll call again!

Mr Moore and his technician were knowledable and efficient. They took the time to make sure I understood the operation of the equipment and that I was informed of the current state of my chimney and the options available to me.

Great service! Timely arrival , friendly and informative service. We are very pleased with "after" look of newly refreshed gas fireplace! Can't wait for colder weather to enjoy...knowing it had been safely cleaned and properly tuned up!

Work went great - they were prompt, courteous, arrived on time... knocked out the work efficiently and had tools on hand to do it properly. Went over all aspects of the chimney as I had no idea what the history was on it..and the pointed out the work that they recommended and gave prices on the spot. They said additional work would be scheduled/performed at a later date and were completely honest with the more 'critical' areas and such.... not pushing sales and additional work. I appreciated that, and had them come back out to do the items they mentioned. I probably did a bit OVER the top of what I needed at that moment, but they knocked this laundry list of things in 4 hours and Steven did excellent work, went over everything, took pictures of things up on the roof, cleaned up...super polite...even my kids said he was very nice. That sort of thing goes a long way to making it great experience and I'll be definitely calling them back for maintenance down the road. As a side note, I see quite a bit of critical reviews...not quite sure what the story is on that...I'm really surprised, as I've had a number of contractors out recently...and they seemed very honest and followed up in all areas appropriately. Came in, and knocked out the work... Scheduling was simple, and they called me to follow-up, too. For someone starting from ground zero on maintenance, they took care of this area for me and now I can at least get one area of the house checked off the list and enjoy it in the fall!

We were very pleased. Chico of Detroit City Sweep arrived timely as promised. He was very pleasant, professional, informative and efficient. He explained the cleaning services that would be provided. The "after" view of newly cleaned gas fireplace tempted me to start a nice warm fire now...even though it is still summer!

The gentleman that came to the house was very friendly. He didn't have the materials necessary for the job on the first visit, but he came back and did a nice job. There was a little confusion with regards to getting them back out, but it all worked out.

They were wonderful, I am telling everyone about my experience.

As expected. Took some time to reposition the gas logs.

First of all, the cleaning was not worth the $99 I paid. Secondly, they charged me $50 to replace a screw; they call that a repair. Moreover, the technician did not have the proper tools, so he had to use mine. I would not recommend!!

It was great. I don't usually write reviews but I found Detroit City Sweep to be helpful and informative. I will be using them every year going forward.

The folks at Detroit City Sweep were great. They did a thorough inspection of our chimney and offered a clear assessment and recommendations. Unlike another group that we had look at the chimney, Detroit City Sweep did not try to oversell expensive services that would have provided minimal benefit.

When I set the appt up I told that person I needed thermocouple. She told me to let the guy know and he would take care of it. When he left he told me I needed a thermocouple mine was going bad. What a surprise! It would cost me $175. He would have to come back. He parked his leaking truck on my drive and now needs to be cleaned.

The appointment was scheduled for 1pm however the rep did not arrive until well after 4. The rep said that the cleaning was an easy one but it still took him over an hour to complete it. Seems like he did an alright job though. When it came to payment, he had no clue what to do since I got to them through HomeAdvisor. He left and had to come back to have me speak with the corporate office to provide payment.

Great service. Fireplace works great.

The technician was friendly and knowledgeable. Time window was 9-1, he called at 3 minutes to 1 and said he was an hour away. Did a great job inside the fireplace, but was unaware that he was supposed to restore the glass as part of the deal, he did it anyway with my supplies. Left a couple of stains on the carpet that I didn't notice until after his departure but they cleaned up fine with a little Shout. Brittany in the office was cordial and helpful.

They did a good job and everything worked out fine. The only thing that I would say is that he didn't show me where to start the log but I was still happy with their services.

Long story short: They were hard to get a hold of and showed up nearly 2 hours AFTER the appointment window had elapsed and after having to make multiple phone update request calls due to "issues at the main office." When calling the main office, they told me that the technician would call and give me an ETA. Never got that call. We ended up having to cancel an important appointment that night because of this. When they arrived, it was two guys in a van with a chimney sweep and a shop vac. The guys seemed to know what they were doing but I felt like I had to proactively ask for an evaluation of the chimney/fireplace condition. Basic service performed satisfactorily, but made very complicated by lack of communication and lack of respect for our appointment window/time. In terms of a rating... I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and assuming that there WAS, in fact, an issue at their main office and that it was one of those "life happens and we were just trying to keep up" type of deals, but giving us updates instead of leaving us hanging would have made a WORLD of difference.

Great Job! Both workers were professionals and I am just waiting back to hear from the quote giving to repair the Chimney Crown.

Everything went great. I scheduled about three weeks ahead of time, technician was on time, thorough, and explained to me what he had done. I received a safety inspection sheet stating that my chimney had been cleaned and inspected; all was good. Also received a follow-up call from the company to make sure I was satisfied with the service.

Great! It wasn't as dirty as I thought. He was very neat and clean, leaving no trace he was here.

He got the job done rather quickly. Too quickly.
