Never returned my phone call requesting his services

I inherited a house that still had a '50s kitchen, carpeting in every room, and long-term inattention. I heard that Mr. Brown would buy houses, renovate them, and sell them. I met him and asked him if he could give me some advice about what I needed to do to improve the house. He came right over and as he was telling me what needed to be done, I asked him if he only renovated houses he bought or if he was available for hire. I hired him in November and he finished the work in March. He had said it would probably take several months to complete and I added to his time because I had some furniture in there that he had to move multiple times to make room to do his work but he moved it as needed and never complained. He did some of the outside work when weather permitted and the inside work when it didn't. He painted the walls and trim in the whole house and I never saw a mess. He prepared the walls before the painting by patching cracks first. The kitchen was drab and depressing and he renovations have made it a joy to walk into now. It is now so bright and cheery. He was efficient and very helpful. I had never tackled anything like this and his advice and suggestions were excellent. He called often to let me know of his progress or to make a suggestion that he thought would be an improvement. He never bought anything without asking my permission. He knew of experts to call for upgrading the electrical, laying the carpet in two rooms and the hall, laying the kitchen and bathroom flooring, and doing the landscaping finish. He had already prepared the area for the landscapers. He did a wonderful job replacing the windows and even had to jack up part of the house that was sinking so the windows on that wall would fit correctly. I can't say enough good things about his work. I absolutely would call on him again and would recommend him to anyone who needs his services!!
