Pollard Heating Cooling did an outstanding job of installing a wall heating unit in an attached room in my home. After another company came out and told they no longer made these units, a representative from Pollard came out, looked at my old unit, called with two days and gave me an estimate. In other words, no problem. The installation went well, the technicians were thorough, the job was done neatly, and upon completion cleaned-up like they had never been there.

THEY REPAIRED MY FURNACE, AND LEFT EVERYTHING CLEAN AND ORDERLY. THIS COMPANY HAS SKILL...AND MOST OF ALL...HEART.
Description of Work: IN NOVEMBER, 2014, I RETURNED HOME 3 MONTHS AFTER SURGERY AND REHAB TO FIND MY FURNACE RUNNING BUT NOT HEATING. POLLARD CAME OUT, AFTER CLOSING HOURS, AFTER I TOLD THEM MY STORY. THE AGENT SAID I NEEDED A BLOWER FAN, AND THEY WOULD BRING THE NEXT DAY.

After replacing $1600 in parts and labor to get the AC to work, less than 3 months later when it's cold enough to need the furnace find that something they replaced is causing the furnace not to work. Company owner called and claimed they weren't responsible. So they came over to fix the AC but broke the furnace. Avoid this company at all costs, Ripoff artists.

Our company is always upset when we aren't able to provide service to a customer's satisfaction. I would like to provide some background. Our company did not install your heating, ventilating and air conditioning system. It was installed by another company a number of years ago. When Pollard Heating and Cooling came to your home in July of 2017, the reason for the service call was that you didn't have cooling. You told us that you had replaced a fuse in your system yourself, however, the fuse was too large in amperage and the incorrect fuse caused the furnace to have electrical problems. When we looked at your system in July of 2017, your air conditioning did not work at all. Our company came to your home and we were able to fix your heating, ventilating and air conditioning system in mid-July. Given the amount of damage that was found, our service technician suggested that it may be in your best interest to replace your furnace rather than repair it. The full cost of this repair, with service call, was $1,680.00. You opted for repair rather than replacement. We replaced your blower control board, speed control and blower motor. Your system worked after this repair, until you phoned for service on October 2, 2017. We deduce that your system worked correctly for two and one-half months. While we have provided service to you in October, we have not charged you for any of the time we have been at your home servicing your equipment. We have worked extensively by telephone, spending many hours on the telephone with the furnace manufacturers technical support line, in an effort to solve the problem you are experiencing. There comes a time when a company must determine that replacement is the best option, rather than putting additional money into a repair. That time came yesterday, when we phoned you to explain the most cost effective solution was to replace the furnace. We realize providing a customer with unpleasant news is not always met with happiness from our customers, but sometimes this news must be delivered. Dawn, Office Manager Pollard Heating

A/C installation was great! Lots of hard work, professionalism, and a very clean job! Thanks, Tyler and Howard! I've had Pollard come out for a few other heating and cooling issues this year and last. My first experience with Pollard was last year when my old A/C had cooling issues. I was very impressed with Tyler's thoroughness in finding the source of the real problem and with his patience in answering my questions. A few other companies that had came out for the same issue rushed through the job and gave very high quotes. I trust this company and will continue to call them for any future needs. Tom called me at 1:15 pm and said he was 20 minutes away. He assessed the problem as a capacitor issue and had a replacement on the truck. He replaced the part and then ensured that the entire AC was working properly. Very courteous, professional and friendly. I would use them again without hesitation.
Description of Work: Our Air Conditioner stopped working Wednesday night, 7/19. I contacted two other Angie's List vendors this morning, Thursday, 7/20, before Pollard because they had earlier office hours. I was offered appointments from one for next Tuesday, 7/25 and for 3 weeks from today from the other. I called Pollard right at 8:00 and spoke with Brandy. She was cheerful and professional and was able to get us scheduled for an appointment today between 2pm-5pm.

Facts: When we visited this residence, we provided this customer with two options for her humidifier. #1 was to repair the existing humidifier #2 was to replace the existing humidifier with an new, Aprilaire, Model 400. We did not actually replace anything. We only provided the customer with a diagnosis of her humidifier problem and gave two options to allow her home to have humidification. The cost for our service call was $45, not $700. It is unfortunate that this customer felt we deserved an 'F' for the estimate that we provided.

They told me they do not sell duct work but out source for custom duct work. That's fine, so asked who they outsourced to so i could get the parts i needed. They refused to give me that info because they thought i wouldn't know enough. They were rude and unfriendly, I will not work with them again.

It could not have gone better, and i could not have asked for better service. Thier tech was able to find the in 20 mins. I had two other companies out there and niether company was able to figure it out. The tech gave me several options and offered his advice. He was always on time, very polite, and respectful. The price he gave me was very fair and i was extremly pleased with service performed. I strongly recommend using this company, dont risk calling amatures, it just cost more in the long run. Bravo Zulu Pollard!

While he was performing the check up he informed me that my compressor was bad and quoted me $3600 to replace it. Of course, I wanted a second opinion, so I had someone come out and take a look. They told me that the compressor was in perfect condition. I was actually the condenser. It was fixed by the second service provider for a little over $400.

He showed up at 9 a.m. just when he said he would. He determined what parts he would need for the job and called for someone to bring them. The other guy showed up right away with the parts, and he got to work. Altogether he was there from 9 am to about 1:30 p.m. He was quiet and took care of the job in a professional way.

The AC tune-up was listed as a $189 value for $59. By the time I paid an extra $87.50 for R-22 my total was $146.50, so the deal was not as good as expected. There was a bit of a mix-up in that the tech was not aware I had paid the original $59 on the web site, so he wanted to charge me for that plus the refrigerant. When I explained I had paid the $59 up front he changed the amount due to the cost of the R-22. He was very thorough in inspecting and adjusting the AC unit, and the performance of my AC throughout the summer has been fine. I would have given an A rating across the board, but I felt I was up-sold for 2.5 lbs of refrigerant. It makes me a bit hesitant to contact the company for a furnace tune-up this fall.

I told the technician that my air was running, but the house was not cooling down. he checked out my unit and said that it was low on coolant. My house was 84 degrees and it dropped to 82 degrees after the coolant was added but never got any cooler. I left a message on Saturday that my home wasn't getting any cooler. He returned on Monday and informed me that all of the coolant had leaked out and that I should replace the unit. So there was my money down the drain because I found a company that offered a better price than they offered to replace the unit. It seems there should have been a way to check if it was leaking beforehand.

We are sorry that the way in which our technician conveyed that your system had a leak was not completely understood. For future reference with your new system, anytime that refrigerant is needed for an air conditioning system, a leak is indicated. In order for a system to be low on refrigerant, the refrigerant is leaking somewhere. There is no way to tell exactly how much refrigerant will be needed in a system in a system with a leak, until it is injected into the system and scaled/weighed as it is added. May your new system provide you with many years of cooling ahead. installation went very quickly, but getting the water out of the lines was a very slow process. Some one had stolen the old unit before my son moved into his condo. So the lines have been open for at least a year. It took 24 hours to clean out the pipes before they could get the system running. Karl was the installer for my son's air conditioning unit. He was outstanding! Very patient and explained everything as he went along. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Called Friday around 3 PM for AC service. The technician was there at 4:30 PM. Checked the system and explained that the Capacitors need replacement. These are going bad because there is a small leak which making the unit work harder. Replaced the capacitors, filled with gas and the AC back to normal. Could not be happier. Thank you,

Tyler took the time to explain everything that was being checked and the results of each test. Due to the age of our equipment, we were concerned the problems we were having were life cycle based. Everything checked out and he found the r22 was low and the air cleaner was not working properly. One hour later, we had a fully functional system and some great advise about our plans to upgrade in the future. Great service we would highly recommend these guys!
Description of Work: We had the 19 point inspection and cleaning to help determine the relative health of our unit. The service tech (Tyler) arrived pon time as scheduled.

I forgot his name. He introduced himself and asked permission to enter my home. He began his inspection and explained what he was doing every test. I do have a old system and was afraid he'd say I needed a new unit. My system was up to Par, and he didn't try to sell me something I don't need yet. Very honest!.I'm impressed with this business and will use them every time I need them. A+. To me. I was emailed about my services and my satisfaction. Very great communication.
