Very good! The two man crew was on time and very professional. They performed all the work required in a timely manor and exceeded my expectations for the job. They asked about my input on the down spots, because I use rain barrels and they require a custom installation. The installers had very good ideas about the custom down spots and shared them with me! The result was a perfect installation!

I had a wonderful experience using Kearns Brothers! Over the past two years, they replaced the majority of the windows in my home and, most recently, installed a new patio door wall. Everyone from the sales staff, reception and billing staff, and installers were polite, professional and friendly. The windows are Michigan-made and high quality. I haven't had any problems or issues with them. The installers were always timely, prompt, and cleaned up after themselves. I truly can't say enough good things about the business, it's employees and products.

Michele was exceptional. Very nice guy and very informative. We just decides that this wasn't the time for us to follow through on the request.

Brendon was extremely friendly and helpful. He took what was a daunting repair (in my opnion and ability) and turned it into a very fast, easy and uncomplicated one. I can now rest easy knowing that the roof will not be leaking due to the damaged shingles. he put me totally at ease right from the start.

Perhaps if they would have told me in the beginning it would have taken 4 months before work was even started I would have went with another provider. I also believe that you don't stay in business for over 30 years and don't know your schedules and capabilities with your staff. Have sent 2 emails to my contractor to find out if another date has been set for the porch, he has not responded to any I have sent after his last email to me on 8/5/14

Kearns Brothers covered the damaged roof section with a tarp the same day I reported the damage. The adjusted the tarp again after a heavy rain / wind event a few weeks later. They also worked with the shingle supplier regarding shingle performance issues. Provided timely email and telephone communication updates.Did a profession job ensuring the repaired section of the roof matched the 10 year old existing sections of the roof.

We had an estimator come out and quote a bath fan replacement and vent installation. The estimator was on time and gave us a reasonable price for the work. We immediately agreed to the quote and asked that an appointment be made for the first Saturday that was available. We were told we would be contacted by service to set the appointment. This was on Saturday. Thursday after not hearing back I called to try to schedule the appointment, but was met with a bureaucrat who was less than helpful and told me I would need to speak to the estimator. After waiting the whole day and not hearing back from anyone, I called again and was met with the same bureaucrat who insisted that only the estimator could help me. I informed this individual I would wait to hear back and also informed him that I'd be seeking bids for the job I had already given to Kearn's, from another company and would see who got back to me first. The conversation digressed from there and I hung up. I then received a call from one of the owners who tried to solve the situation, but only further insulted me by going on about the monetary investment made in his company to do small do it your self-er jobs. This only makes me believe the job they quoted was no big deal to them. I was promised a call on Friday to make the appointment, which was received, but I was made to feel my request for a Saturday appointment was a problem and that it might be 3-5 weeks, which I was OK with (part of the reason why I wanted to make the appointment as soon as possible), but would be "tentative" based on weather. Maybe this is the case, but by the time we got to this phone call I really have come to the conclusion that my job was not big enough for this company to worry about. Honestly at this point I believe they knew I was Angie's List Member and didn't want this meaningless job to stain their stellar record. Good luck to any of you "Do It Your Self-er's" looking for help on a job that is out of your "Do It Your Self-er" ability from Kearns.

Originally they came to my home and did a thorough inspection of the roof and attic. They brought shingle samples which allowed me to make a choice about materials and get a quote. They were able to complete the job a few weeks later. They were in and out in one day. Fantastic installation. Great job of clean-up. They even trimmed overhanging trees on the roof. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants a quality roofing job done the right way.

Rudy did not go on roof to look at the chimney which needs a new cap and stack. But did tell us we have soft brick. ( Funny, 2 other companies told us we were lucky we have hard brick, repair will be minimal. AND they went on the roof.) Did not look at hole in valley of our roof. He did specifically state he would have a carpenter come out with him within a week to look at our back porch which was our priority. We were interested in having new seasonal type windows and some carpentry work.. We did not receive one phone call or a return visit..After 3 weeks we called Kearns and was told by an owner he had no reason for why we had not heard anything. Rudy should have spent more time doing his job and not telling us about the owner and his younger wife and her skiing accident and how it has affected her horseback riding. Rudy told us he runs marathons and his daughter is a schoolteacher. We learned more about private lives and less about what we wanted done. Rudy told us how wonderful their windows were(which we told him that was not what we wanted) He did say he would look for other windows. He told us how great their shinglers were, didn't want a roof. Needed repair in valley which he never looked at to begin with. Told us how great their window were when we have a seasonal back porch. we were interested in a storm type window which we did tell him. We have lost a minimum of three weeks toward getting our work done. We would not recommend this company.Talks a nice game but has no follow up!!!!

The installation went very well. The crew of two, Bob and John were on time and moved along with the set up, removal of old windows, prep for the new windows, installation of new ones, the caulking inside and out and the finishing of the trim on the outside. They were very professional cleaned up on the inside and out so that no one would even know that they had been here. They did a great job! The reason that we chose Kearns was the presentation that Mike had given us last year when we replaced 4 windows and a 9 foot door wall. The service then we super, so when we needed to replace the last two windows we chose them. The condo complex we live in has also had Kearns do their hoofs and come and do some repairs from water leaks.We trust them to do a good job and be very professional while doing it. Their crews are always well mannered, kind and friendly.

We were extremely impressed with this company! Chuck from Kearns Brothers inspected our roof and advised us that, at this time, he did not think we needed to do any repairs or replacement of shingles. He clearly described to us the three stages of roof deterioration, and that we did not have anything needing immediate attention. Chuck recommended that we could go "year to year" and see how the roof was holding up. We were amazed to have his free, expert opinion and this resultant recommendation. We will DEFINITELY be using them in the future for any roofing repairs, as they are honest guys and deserving of their high marks at Angie's List! Thank you, Kearns Brothers.

Only having one installation team was a little issue as they got backed up and it took a little longer to get my windows to me. However, they did do an extremely good job and the installers were very polite and easy to work with. The new windows and doorwall are great and a big improvement to my original windows that had leaky seals. I look forward to never having to replace windows again....with their lifetime guarantee.

Love all the work they've done. They've even steered me right in colors and design. I recommend them highly.

The experience with them was good as far as the estimate goes, they were timely. We didn't have the roof done. The estimate was free. The price was fair. Their responsiveness was timely.

We had done a lot of research on roofing companies. Looked at Angie's List among other resources and picked 3 companies to come and quote our roof. Scotty P came to the house to sell us the roof. He did a wonderful job. He was the last of the 3 sales men to enter our house and by far the kindest and nicest. We laid out for him what we wanted. I told him that I had put on a roof or two in my time and was going to be a pain about making sure it was done right. He explained all about Kearns brothers and what the job would entail. He also told me that he would expect us to keep on eye on the workers as we were investing in something that would protect our family for years to come.He did not try any of those stupid tactics on us like if the price is to high let me call my boss in front of you and see if we can get our price down. We were originally going to go with another company but were so impressed with Scotty P that we decided to go with Kearns. There price was not at all what we expected. They were priced very fair for what they offered. Scheduling was a bit of a hassle as you get in line and wait, but the job was completed in the time frame we asked. At 830 am on a sat morning Sanchez and his crew showed up. Sanchez explained what they would do and told us he would take pictures as the job progressed. The crew was 13 men! All here and ready to go at 830. Sanchez and his crew came and worked hard. They move together with a grace and efficiency that says we have done this before, we work well together and kicked out my roof in about 6 hours. The men were always polite. Sanchez answered all our questions.My husband and I were out there nearly the whole time keeping an eye on them. We wanted to make sure it was done right. Truth be told, we didn't have too. The crew was very experienced and worked so well together you could tell they have been doing this for a long time. We apparently weren't the only ones impressed as we were told that two of our neighbors called and scheduled quotes just by the work they saw being done on our house. Two other roofs in our neighbor hood have been replaced by Kearns Brothers since our roof was complete. The company is reputable. We have had no issues. We are totally pleased. If we ever move we would bring them in to do another roof and have recommended them to our family and friends. The Paling Family

I would not use them again. I was very disappointed with their rough work because I had to have it returned a number of times. They did a good job on the back of the house and in the front of the house, I think they had an inexperience crews. They had one clown up there that I made him kick off the roof because he was about to fall. They did not put down the nails properly and the shingles and that’s the reason so far I had it repaired three times and its going to need some more work soon or I’m going to get the roof redone. These particular people are known for very good work but on my house, I simply didn’t get it. I didn’t try contacting them because their guarantee had run out about the same time that I started to have the thing fixed and it’s just 5 years. Any good quality would last a minimum of 20 years and theirs lasted 5 years. I decided I don’t want to deal with them anymore because their warranty had run out. They were on time when they put the roof on.

The work was done over a period of weeks because of the early spring changing weather. The crews always were more than careful and did an amazing job of cleaning up every day and securing their equipment so it would be ready to go the next day. The detail work was done by hand when there was no other way to do it and it came out beautiful. The sales consultant that we had always helped us through the chioce process and he knew we had done research on the product and that this was very important to complete the whole renewal of our home. Scott Parzuchowski (Scotty P.) was a perfect match for our job and us. The days that the crew could not work because the weather was bad made the job take longer than we had planned but that could not be helped and in the end we were totally satisfied with the final results.

They didn't get a really good review on Angie's List but they've been working hard to correct that and they have been fabulous. We had a few problems and they fixed everything. So we hired them to do our entire inside remodeling. They have been really great. They are still in our house because it is a really long project. They finished the roof a while ago but now they are working on inside remodel. I think it just sorted the personality of the individual people that we dealt with. The contractor has been really laid and patient with us. The house was empty for a long time, it was a flat roof and it is not an easy house to work with, if not for standard remodel. They have been really super flexible and enlighten us to take our time as well as working with us to make sure that we do the right thing. The owner Mike Kearns came personally to the house a couple of times when we had a few problems with the roof to check on it and make sure that everything was okay. They are very nice to deal with and then the follow upon top of that. Their price was reasonable compared to other people we met with.

This was the "second" time we have used them to install replacement windows ( we used them four years ago to intalll upstairs windows). Rudy came out and measured all the windows, covered all the bases and reminded us of the various options available with different types of glass, etc. He promptly sent us an estimate via email and followed up with a phone call. The installation went according to plan. Bob and his crew did an amazing job taking the old windows out, making necessary repairs and then installing the windows. They also added some minor repair work done on aluminum trim around a couple windows. Very professional and cleaned up everything throughout the landscaping, couldn't tell they were here. I'll hire them in a few years to do our roof.

Their was a big crew and it went smoothly. The workers were courteous and polite.

Rich (sales) was very professional, informed, thorough and accurate, and was able to a address all of our questions and concerns. Barring interruptions from the weather everything went on very efficiently. The crews showed up early each day, worked all day, and cleaned up after themselves. Many of our neighbors inquired who was doing all the work, as they were impressed also. They weren't the lowest bidder (or the highest) but they were the most knowledgeable and professional. No surprises or extras added at the last minute.

They did the whole job in one day. Removed all old shingles,replaced a few roof boards, and installed new,30 year guaranteed single. Also cleaned up the job site when they finished.

My take on home improvement is I don't want the cheapest price.. I want the best job possible for a good price. That is what we got from Kearns Brothers. Their Roofing Consultant, Rudy Mendez, was very helpful in assessing our roof condition after a big windstorm . He helped us pick our a new GAF Roof System that we are glad to have this winter. The color has enhanced the look of our home and made it look newer. We were impressed by the size and teamwork of the work crews. They arrived in company trucks and were very professional. The workmanship is excellent. They finished corners and edges to look better than the original. Kearns Brothers also reconstructed our chimney. They replaced boards, installed wind barrier wrap, and resided they chimney. They topped it off with a custom made chimney cap. To finish the job they installed new gutters and gutter guards. Once again, they were very professional. The size of the crew was large enough to do the job in one morning. To finish the experience they were very flexible to allow payment to fit our situation. First let me start by saying I would without hesitation recommend Kearns Brothers to anyone who is looking for home improvement, and the many services that they provide. Our first meeting was with Gary Holm, sales representative for the company. His professionalism and interpersonal skills was only exceeded by his product knowledge. He was truly helpful in pointing out the various options and product selections we had to choose from. We not only did this at our house, but at their store location. The crew that did the work was great. Their attention to detail and quality of work was flawless. I would be remiss if I did not mention how many of our neighbors stopped and complimented us on how great the house looked. From the office personal, sales representatives and the skilled work crews, Kearns Brothers is the way to go.

Now Kearns tells us that their work is only warranted for 5 years. The work at the time of installation was sloppy and they left our attic a horrible mess. The crew leader was mad during job, and consequently very rude, because the job took a half day longer than he planned -like this was our fault?? It took numerous call backs to get them to finish details of the job, and each time the employees were rude. So now that there is a leak - I guess I was very dumb to call them and expect anything different this time around. Receptionist is the rudest I have run into. First crew that came out to inspect said it was likely the flashing. But second - sales man says no its the chimney - an they won't even try to fix the roof with out paying them $250 to do a chimney test. So I had a reputable chimney company out that said our chimney's need some repair, but the leak is definitely from the roof, not the chimney. He also said other areas of the roof are showing wear that should not be there at 9 years. I will have someone else do the work repair work as I am sure I will pay more for Kearns to fix the problem than through a good roofing company. I would never recommend Kearns to anyone.
