They were on time and professional, and the roof shingles look good. But quality in some items left something to be desired. And they did not do some things they verbally agreed to do. Items they agreed to do but did not: block the old gable vents (necessary for ridge venting); re-caulk around the top of the chimney flashing; cut a hole in the old roof above the ceiling in my back porch, to improve venting there; they installed eave vents on only one side of my foyer roof instead of both sides. Items they did poorly: The new flashing on my foyer and side door awning may be functional, but are very unattractive; there are big gaps where the drip edge meets the side rakes, up to 3/4", where insects and such can get in; there are gaps in the corners of the eave vents where water and insects can get in, up to an inch in one place; 3 nails were put in improperly and were not corrected. They were poor at picking up nails when they were done. I have picked up well over 150 so far. Over 20 were just sitting on top of the shingles on the roof. There were over a 120 loose nails in the gutters as well as a partial roll of nails from their nail gun with another hundred or so, also in a gutter. There were 2 nails on my neighbor's driveway in plain sight. I found these right after they left I was happy when they found a piece missing from the old roofing job 20 years ago that resulted in some water coming into my back porch. But their fix resulted in even more water coming in. They sloped the shingles toward the house in that spot. I have fixed this, at least temporarily.
