+ -1 moreMy project of upgrading my daughter's gravel driveway, without her knowledge, went superbly. There were parts of the driveway, especially near the road, where there was a depression where water would stand after a heavy rain, or become slushy or frozen in the winter. There was also a depression in the driveway up near the concrete slab that extends out from the garage about 20 feet. The driveway, itself, was in desperate need of gravel/stone. I have bought a home in DeWitt, MI and am moving back to MI this Fall. I was in MI househunting recently when I completed the above project. Rick Jackson, the owner of the above company, was instrumental in my success in the above regard.
Description of Work: Rick Jackson, the owner of this company, delivered 12 cu. yards(18 tons) of premium-grade, crushed 1/2-1 inch stone to my daughter's driveway in Perry, MI on the above date. At the time of delivery, he made 3 passes with his dumptruck, spreading the stone to facilitate my subsequent finish work with a shovel & rake. Prior to delivery, I talked to Mr. Jackson on the telephone, both from Oregon as well as MI. He is extremely knowledgeable and helped me make my final selection in terms of which stone to purchase, etc. In so doing, he actually discreetly drove by my daughter's home prior to delivery, at my request, to verify the amount of stone needed to do this job correctly. His estimate was spot-on. I highly recommend him to anyone in need of sand, gravel or stone and will use him again for future needs. A very personable individual.
