They appeared exactly on time. They said they would get the job done in two days. I didn't believe them. But they indeed got it done in two days. The person taking measurements was new and made a mistake (did not notice a light switch inside the closet and a vent). The installers noticed this on the day of the install. Called the office and had new parts made in real time and shipped on that day and installed in time. Very impressive! They are somewhat expensive, but you get what you pay for. We love our new closets.

Great closets! The installation team was OUTSTANDING! My installation took three days to complete, and they arrived on time each day. They were friendly and professional and did a GREAT job installing the closets. They were also clean and took their shoes off to keep my new carpets dirt-free. I really appreciated that extra effort. The closets look really good. California Closets makes a really good product, but the professional installation team made that good product into a truly great product.

I reached out to California Closets because my mom had them do some closets in our house when I was growing up. We are currently expecting our first child and the nursery closet was located over the stairs. Due to the location, the closet was unusually deep and inefficient. I reached out to California Closets through their website. Raquel came out to our house on a Saturday morning where she looked at the nursery closet and our master bedroom. We described our needs and 20 minutes later, she had 3D images and pricing all ready for us. Unfortunately due to money we weren't able to do our master closet at the time (to my wife's disappointment) but we did go forward with our nursery. The technician showed up on time and was done within the allotted time window. The whole install took two hours. He did his cutting outside and was very respectful of our home. I'm hoping to have them back soon to do our master closet. Highly recommend them.

It was a very good experience from my first stop at the showroom in Birmingham to the installation. The Designer shared good ideas, was patient with my decision making process, listened to my wants and needs regarding how I wanted the unit to function for me. She told me about a special going on at the time of my order which allowed me to upgrade the finish on the unit at no extra charge. It is beautiful and what a bonus! The installers were good. After the initial installation and a couple of days using the closet, I called the company back with a request to reduce the spacer between the twin units that were installed from 5 inches to 1 inch, which gave me more space to reach into the right and left side recessed pockets of the closet. A different installer came to do the job. He even solved a clearance issue created by the 2 sliding mirrored track doors enclosing the closet. I was impressed. There was one other small issue with the file drawers of my unit and the company // installer handled it quickly. I needed the file drawers to have a front to back orientation but I did not initially receive the correct inserts, but got them when the installer came to make the adjustment I mentioned earlier. I am very pleased with the quality of the product and the service of the company. Top notch. The whole team is very invested in customer satisfaction because they are all employees, not contractors with not a lot to lose. I would definitely use California Closets again.

The turn out of the closet was beautiful.

I was very impressed with the entire process. I will use them to do other closets in our house and will also have them help organize our garage. The rip out, repair, and painting took longer than the actual install. They were always punctual and cleaned everything up after the rip out and install. We love our closets and all of the additional usable space we now have.

They did a great job. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly fast for all they did. Everything was installed in less than a day! Sure it is pricey but it is worth the quality and the look. It is a good investment to add on to the value of a house.

They were very efficient. I made an appointment and within 48 hours they came to my house. We had the project wrapped up in a few weeks. The workers that came out were very professional.

Over the holiday break, my wife and I realized that our kitchen pantry closet was a mess and was not optimized. We decided to get a quote from California Closets. They were available for an on-site estimate within a few days. Our design consultant walked us through a design and we modified it on the spot with some special shelving and pull-out bins. They were having a sale on non-white shelving, which we liked, so we decided to do it right then and there. Our installation was scheduled for a week later since we were only available on a Saturday. One workman came to our house, on time, to remove the old shelving, paint the closet and then install the new shelving. He was quick, quiet and clean. Although the price was on the high side, the product is high quality, it is well designed and put together and we love it. No looking back. We would definitely use California Closets again.

I had a very bad experience with California Closets. The guy who did quoting was called Ray, he was pompous and he insulted my wife on numerous occasions and we had him come out to the house and we were asking him questions about what to do and he was saying how he had to come out all the way to do what he was doing and I asked him for a price and he couldn't give me a price and I just had to throw him out of the house. I am not buying from him especially if he talks to my wife like that. I personally never called the manager about him but I have never met anyone as insulting as him. The guy was just an ass. I put up with it because they offered service and I was seeing what I was gaining for my money and I got pissed off. I was looking at something basic and they would come out when they would make an appointment but he didn't see the point of coming out to look at what I wanted. He came out on the first day and all he had to say was how he came out at 6 at night.

They completed the work in time. They were professional. They did what they promised on time.

My closets are so fantastic, however, I have too much stuff and filled both closets! After a charity picks up the 25 bags of my husband's clothes, I will go through mine to give away clothing that has not been worn in years. Because everything is so organized now, I have an incentive to keep it looking great!

I have a really cramped laundry area and needed the walk in closet next to it organized to make the most of the space. California Closets sent a rep who sat down with me and designed it to my specific needs. Things like built in hamper, area to put brooms/vacuums, appliance shelving and a retractable hanging bar were features that would have taken me forever to incorporate on my own. The installation was quick and smooth and I couldn't be happier.

We had one of our best experiences with contractors we ever had. From start to finish everything went smoothly and conveniently. The quote and design exceeded our expectations. The installation of both the electrical outlet and desk/storage system went smoothly. The company was very responsive after the fact when we could not get a drawer we had pulled out back in. We were afraid to break it and they said to just give it a whack.

He was able to do a lot right here. He sat down and kind of designed them and everything right while he was here. They were pretty quick as well with the turnaround time. We have been really happy with them. The installation went real well, and we haven’t had any trouble.

They installed closet systems in almost all of my closets.

The experience was great. Once we finalized the design, the parts were ordered and delivered on time. Since we needed a plug and line added she provided the name of an electrician that was willing to do the small job. The installation went terrific. I would not hesitate to recommend or use Ms. Gabbard and California Closets for other projects of this kind.

Designer Mark was very prompt arriving and proceeded to measure the closet and take a complete inventory of all my clothing, shoes etc. We discussed all aspects of the closet. He was extremely thorough. He then estimated the project and gave me color options and time to install. We agreed on the budget and he proceeded to do a CAD drawing so I could see exactly what my new closet would look like. We scheduled an installation right on the spot. Three weeks later the installer arrived within 5 minutes of the scheduled time. The installation took about 2 hours. They were clean and neat and they showed me how to adjust everything in the closet to fit my clothing. A great experience overall. I recommended them to 2 friends already. They were not the cheapest, but I feel like I got a very good value for my money.
