In my opinion a company has that been staining decks should have the expertise and experience to view a job and provide a reasonable estimate. Woodwork quote me $150 service call and $65 an hour to just stain my deck. They couldn't tell me how many hours it would take to do my deck?! I and a friend brushed stained my deck in approx. 4.5 hours. Would there be conflict if it takes them 8 plus hours? Please Woodbrook update your site and stated that you don't provide on job estimates. Instead you provide an over the phone rate. It would save people time. Update According to your response you're busy and choose who to quote?? There are thousands of qualified painters in the area that don't waste people time as you seem to do often. How about noting in your website that you will choose who to give quotes to so people not interested in your business policy can look elsewhere.

Very professional, clean, thorough. No short cuts, did not "rush" the job, in fact did more than I expected. Quality of work is exceptional. Will use them again in the future.

Office staff was very helpful in arranging for a quote and then sending someone out in a timely fashion. Job was completed to our satisfaction.

The final product was quite good. We tried to get it painted before the start of winter but weather was against us. We needed to remind them to do the work. Then we had issue about needing 1 coat (which was estimate) or 2 coats (which is what we did). We felt the should have been able to determine if 2 coats were needed in the original estimate. We were able to work out an acceptable deal.

I received an email the next day after calling to get an estimate for the work. They did the estimate and emailed it to me. I replied with the ok and the deck and porch were power-washed a few days later. I then decided to add the brick paver powerwash to the mix, and that was done the day after the deck was re-stained. Everyone I dealt with was very polite and did great work. Our deck looks fantastic. This is the third time I have used this company and I have never been disappointed.

They responded immediately to my call. Said they would be out in 3 to 8 business days to do the the estimate. Received a call today to tell me they were too booked up to do estimate. I can't review their work, but I appreciate their quick response and follow-up.

I found Woodbrook Painting & Powerwashing via Angie's List. Prior to calling, I went to their website to verify services provided and service area boundaries. I then called to request a quote for exterior aluminum siding painting. I was asked my address, put on hold for a few seconds, then told, "Unfortunately, we do not paint residential homes in Detroit, only commercial buildings." No explanation was given. As this was contradictory to information stated on their website, I feel as a potential customer, I should have at least been informed why the discrepancy existed. Was it a change in policy, a mistake on the website, etc.? I completed extensive research including BBB checks before narrowing my selections to include this company. Had this been indicated on their website, it could have saved me wasted time, not to mention the feeling of "biased rejection." I called this company because they had an ad in the Angie's List publication stating that they offer free estimates. However, when I called, they told me that it would be $50 for them to come out for an estimate. This is false adverstising, and I would never call them again because of this.

They were absolutely awesome from the prep, application, and clean-up. Totally thorough and professional. The home is beautiful.

The job looks great. You would never know about the nail holes in the walls. Very professionally done and all in 2 days. It would have taken us forever to do it ourselves.

Good professional quote process. It took a while to get to the work (although they told me they were backed-up), and maybe they could have communicated better with the lady in the office as she never quite knew anything. Once they did show up they did a great job. They power washed the first day, and cleaned the window sills without getting water into the house. There's a window above then door with a bunch of cob-webs that are very obvious from the inside. When I pointed it out they were cheerful and cleaned it very well. Then came back and did a good job sanding. There was an uneven spot on the deck that my dog scratched and they spent extra time to sand it down well. They put multiple coats on and got the paint color just what I wanted (I gave them the paint chip number and manufacture). So overall , I was very pleased. The quote process and the work are great. Internally, maybe they could communicate a bit better with the receptionist so that she has good info to tell the clients. But if you stick with the process, they are really good.

The painters did an excellent job, they word fast, the job was completed on time and to my total satisfaction.

Unfortunately, we went with another company, but appreciated their time and effort!

They did an excellent job. It looks like a new house. They not only power washed the trim that had to be painted, they washed the entire house for free. I'm a perfectionist, especially when it comes to painting, and I am completely happy with the work that was done. The crew arrived early. They made sure everything was cleaned up when they were finished. Everyone I talked to from the initial phone call for an estimate to the completion of the job were very friendly and professional. I highly recommend Woodbrook Painting and will definitely use them again.

Prior to beginning the repair and paint work a power washing crew showed up and completed a very thorough wash job on both houses. After the wash on mine they inspected the wood I had identified as needing replacement and found several other facing boards that were in a worse condition than I had noticed. The estimate to complete was quickly updated (and approved) to include the additional work. In spite of all the late spring and early summer rains we experienced they were only a few days behind their original estimate on getting the woodwork, caulking and painting completed and did an overall excellent job. When I inspected my daughter's house we noticed one facing board under the door wall had been missed and they were out the next day to take care of it. While the price seemed on the higher side I thought it was very fair for all the work done and I certainly got a square deal. I would recommend this team to anyone having exterior painting/repair done.

The project took the majority of a work week. Every crack and hole was properly patched. The workers kept the mess to a minimum and were good about covering plants and removing fixtures. A fair number of cedar boards were replaced, and Keith personally contacted me if he or his crew found any problems. We asked for the Sikkens Rubbol Solid Stain based on Keith's recommendation (a small price differential over the Woodscapes product everyone else uses) and we have loved it. We've had a lot of nice complements on our home, and the work really does shine (the product adds a very subtle sheen). I have already recommended his company to a coworker (and they too were pleased with the work.)

I have a 2,800 square foot house that was in need of exterior painting. I had 3 different companies come out and give me estimates. Woodbrook's pricing was very competitive. I felt very comfortable with Ryan right from the start. He's very professional and followed through with everything that was promised. The 3 man crew did the whole job in about three(long) days. They did a great job! I would definitely recommend them in the future. Also, the free color consultation was a huge bonus. I can't recall the lady's name, but she nailed the color for our house perfectly! Again, she was very professional and knkowledgable.

From the beginning, the team at Woodbrook was on time and professional in all dealings. I received a fair quote and a a estimate of job start that ended up being right in line with their estimates. I was also kept up to date from the office and from the field staff. Fr the deck powerwash and seal, I had personally replaced some older rotted pieces and was concerned with the newer wood showing as up out of place with the older weathered wood once stained. They did a great job in matching all the wood color throughout. I have a wooden swing that was previously very difficult to stain to match the deck due to an excessive build up of all varnish and weathering. They called during the job and said they would take care of sanding and matching the color if I would like them to do so and at no extra charge. It looks great, very happy with the result. I also had some external trim on the main house that required replacement due to rotting and animal damage. They did an excellent job of replacing the trim to match the home in texture and color. At the completion of the job, one of the team showed me areas of the home to watch for in the future that I was otherwise unaware. They did great with the clean up, nothing left behind but a job well done.

The painter came on time and got it all done in one day. We are very happy with it.

Once I contacted them for a quote they responded quickly with a fair price. The job was scheduled and done when they said it would be completed. The overall quality is good. I would have appreciated a follow up call to determine if I was satisfied instead of just a bill in the mail but since the job was done right it was a non issue.

I thought they did a good job, and so did my husband. They came when they said they were going to come, and they were careful. My husband asked them to be careful when they were painting to make sure that they didn't get anything on our landscaping, and they didn't. They finished pretty quickly, and were responsive to questions.
