Everything went great. Technician did a thorough job and explaned things well. I would use their service again.

I felt very comfortable with Travis. His knowledge and clarity in explaining it all was excellent. I will definitely use this company in the future.

They were able to schedule an appointment quickly even when they were dealing with a lot of frozen pipes during the week of very cold temperatures. The plumber was very polite. He worked with me on a discount. My house is old and it did not have the modern sump pump set up. (The old one pump was repeatedly running and was on it's last legs). He replaced the pump and made it work in the unique set up. He was meticulously clean and I was happy with the service.

We moved in to the house about 2 years ago and wanted the furnace inspected. It was a little challenging scheduling the service due to the time of year but can't complain they prioritize to those without heat. They kept us aware of when they would arrive and when they were on their way. The service was quick and explained how everything was and what was done. Best part was they did not try to sell anything as I was expecting a sales pitch.

In August, 2013, we paid for Matheson's Platinum Service Plus Service Agreement which was to prep our furnace and AC before winter and summer, respectively. The plan cost us $277.00. In Jan. during the "Polar Vortex" we awoke to no heat. Matheson sent out a repairman who said that snow was blocking the outside air intake pipe and the exhaust pipe. He cleared away the snow and said there had to be an extension put on the exhaust pipe, but he didn't have one on his truck. He did get the furnace to work, though. That visit cost us $199.00. The next morning we again woke to no heat and again called Matheson. Another repairman came at about 2:00 PM. For what ever reason the furnace kicked on about 5 minutes before he got there. He said there was nothing wrong with the furnace and didn't know why it had stopped the second time. He did not have the pipe extension. No Charge. The following morning we again had no heat. We called another company who came out quickly. This repairman agreed that the outside exhaust pipe was too close to the intake pipe. He said that this caused ice crystals to form on the intake pipe thus blocking it. He extended the exhaust pipe and faced it away and above the intake pipe. Since then the furnace has been fine. We contacted Matheson to demand a refund of the $277.00 we paid for their Platinum Service Plan. The person who answered their phone said someone would call us back. That was over a week ago, and there has been NO call back. Matheson called a few days after I wrote this review to say they had sent a check for a full refund. I agreed that when we received the check and it cleared, I would update my review. Here is that update. (FYI, the company we subsequently hired said Matheson was a good company.) This situation was no doubt caused by miscommunication on both Matheson's and my part.

They were on time and cleaned up after themselves. Never a problem. We hardly knew they were there. When finished they tested everything to make sure it was working properly.

This company was very fast and very professional. I had an issue with my furnace and they came out the same day I called. The tech was very punctual, friendly and knowledgeable. My furnace got fixed and I didn't feel like I had gotten overcharged.

Everything was fine. Performed work as expected. Not sure how something that takes so little time can be worth more than the $67 that we paid for the angie's list deal. Would not pay more than that in the future. He was probably only here 30 minutes or less. Glad that we had it done. Just don't see it being worth much more than we paid.

Service was fantastic. They did exactly what was requested and completed a heating equipment tuneup. We inquired about home humidification and they made an offer on the spot for installing a whole home humidifier. We accepted and now have well functioning heat and proper humidificaiton. Thanks

The $400 includes AC in the spring and discounts on other services. We switched to them a few years ago and have been very happy.They also gave us a price for a new furnace once our old furnace goes and promised to be there the next day if it went during the winter.

I was referred to Matheson by a relative who lived in their area and was very happy with them. It proved to be a great referral. They took care of my ailing furnace until last year when we agreed it was time to replace it. They installed a new energy-efficient furnace for me last Thanksgiving and everything went smoothly from beginning to end. Today's visit was the complimentary one-year follow-up service. The service personnel are outstanding -- punctual, professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Fees are reasonable, and the products they sell are high quality. I won't use anybody else for my HVAC.

They were fine, but it took him forever to actually come and do the service.

Matheson was able to schedule the service within 2 days (we did not request immediate service). They were on time and cleaned up after themselves. Though our problem required consultation by the master plumber, he arrived quickly and together they completed the repairs. The "B" rating on price is simply due to the fact that I don't know how much another company would have charged for the same job.

He inspected it told us what to watch out for since the system is 16 years old. Didn't try to sell us any extras, but did let us know to expect to replace the furnace in the next couple of years which we were expecting. Overall a great experience.

It was borderline unethical. We lost air conditioning in the peak of the summer. My son was very ill. I told Matheson that I had to leave town and was very concerned about my wife and son suffering the heat. Matheson attempted to sell me a unit that was too large for our home and at a ridiculously non-competitive price. Matheson has a spectacular score on Angie's List. Angie's List needs to very closely review all historical Matheson reviews for legitimacy. I cannot be the only Angie's List subscriber who has had this experience with Matheson. This is in response to Matheson's response, which mentions insulation of the duct work. The ducting was insulated ducting. Two other specialists were able to determine this immediately upon inspection. Matheson's representative could not. Matheson attempted to take advantage of my family's situation. Anything posted to the contrary is an outright lie.

We had found out in the middle of the night that our heater had gone out. Originally I had thought that the pilot had went out, but I had checked it, and the furnace was fine. The problem/issue was beyond my skill level, and since we had used Matheson Heating & A/C in the past, I figured I'd give them a call in the morning. Michael Matheson responded quickly, and made it a point to reassure us that they would have the problem remedied by the end of the day. Since we do have jobs, we were not able to stay at home, however we left them a key to get into the house and they took care of the issue with no problem. Trever, the serviceman who came to our home, called me prior to his arrival and I had mentioned to him that we have a few cats in the house and to be careful when entering and exiting the home. He reassured me that everything was going to be taken care of, and that he would be in contact with Michael and myself when he was finished. The job went wonderful, and quickly. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, and I am more than satisfied with the services performed. We will definitely be recommending Matheson Heating & A/C to everyone who needs these types of services performed in their home or building. Professional, Courteous, Punctual, and Knowledgeable. Big Thumbs up!

The company did a nice job. The service man was punctual and courteous. He also gave me some additional tips how to prolong life of the furnace.

The service technician was on time. He inspected and tuned up my furnace. He tested it to make sure that it was working properly. I would definitely us them again.

Was very pleased with the company. They were very pleasant during the scheduling as well as the gentleman who performed the services.

This was my first use of Matheson based on Angie's List recommendations and, based on this experience, I will definitely consider using them in the future.

I purchased a Angie's List special furnace tune-up, which was about half the price of your typical servicing. The initial appointment was cancelled (hence my lower mark for punctuatlity), but the tech was right on time for the rescheduled appt. | |The tech spent close to two hours here, servicing my aging furnace. He showed me the points of concern about the unit and then got down to cleaning it up and setting everything straight. | |I checked in on him at one point and saw him checking out the water heater burner, something I was not expecting at all. He cleaned out that as well, showed me the sparkly clean furnace and called it a day. | |Aside from the rescheduling snafus (the appointment was cancelled via email, which I missed in my inbox -- a call would have been better, but that's small potatoes), the servicing was stellar and the tech was one of the most professional I have ever dealt with.

The came on-time and performed the service as subscribed.

I'd never done hired anyone without first speaking with them, and I was hoping it would work out. From the excellent communication with their office personnel to the installation of the humidifier, we were completely satisfied with their service. I will use them again in the future. The humidifier has made a great difference in our home.
