Bos Moving & Service

It went very well. We needed them to make an additional pick up at a home nearby the storage unit. No problem. Even though it started to rain everything was good. Two movers were sent with an adequate sized truck, plus we had a couple of very heavy pieces.

Great! The two movers (Jake and Mike) were friendly and fast. They arrived an hour earlier than expected, which worked out great. They called ahead to let me know their arrival time. They were very polite to my mom and the other people they encountered. My mom gushed about how nice they were. The phone estimate was that the job would take three hours and it took exactly three hours. My mom's apartment was boxed up and ready to go when they got there. There were elevators in both buildings (old apartment and new apartment) and the managers assigned an elevator to the movers so that they did not have to wait. That saved a LOT of time.

Kevin and Paul were very patience and kind to me! I'm handicapped. They did everything I asked of them. From the 1st phone call, ( which was wonderful) , because I was able to get an appointment! The first companies I called were booked fully ,or they didn't work in Detroit. They were on time. They did a great Job. The wheels of 2 of plastic drawer units were taken off. I only noticed one at the time. The housing broke. The Bos family bought me a new drawer unit! I will use them to move again!! I'll ask them to leave the wheels on. The estimate of the time and cost was accurate!

Moved spinet piano from lower level in my home to nearby senior center. Steve and Josh were amazing. Worked efficiently but protected the piano at all times. They were so easy to work with and I felt so confident in their abilities. In fact, I have already booked my household move for next month. Looking forward to working with Bos Moving again. Best decision I made.

The move went perfectly.I went online to get an estimate and received a phone call within the day. I set up a move for two days later. Jim and Steve arrived promptly, were so careful with my furniture but did not waste time moving everything. They even fixed my storm door that my husband had been promising to fix for a year!!!! I definitely would recommend this moving company.

Everything went very well. Both the crew and person answering call and setting up appointment were very professional. The crew arrived on time and were able to load the piano within 10 minutes. The entire process took only 48 minutes including loading the piano, driving to recycling center and dropping it off leaving them with a new satisfied customer. I would definitely recommend using them based on my experience.

They were terrific in all aspects of the move. They took great care of the furniture and did more than we could have expected.

Everything about dealing with BOS was an absolute pleasure. When I called, I spoke with a real person who made me feel confident that I would be satisfied with their work. As promised, on the day of the job, the 2 guys called to say they could be at our house in one hour, and asked if we were ready for them since they were 2 hours early. They arrived an hour later and zipped through their work without a hitch. They were easygoing and pleasant, and did everything with a professional and friendly attitude. They finished their work in about an hour, and we would use them any time we need to move anything too heavy for us, and if we ever move again. Highly recommended. BOS is the best.

Everything went well until the end of the move. The truck wasn't big enough to hold everything. They couldn't finish the move because they had another move scheduled for the day. The owner had come out to give the estimate and was well aware of the volume. As a result, the charges were also double than quoted. No problem paying for the actual hours though. Both the moving crew and person that answers calls were unprofessional in that they thought it wasn't their problem, but ours.

We had a lot of stuff that needed to go down into the basement. They moved it without complaint. We had a family emergency and didn't have time to get everything ready for them, but they did their best.

I had a 3 man crew scheduled to arrive between 9 and 9:30am. The crew show up on time and ready to work. I was allotted a 5 hour block, but it ending up taking 8 hours. We were only planning on the movers to only take all furniture, swing set, a stove, refrigerator, and a few boxes. But it ended up being much more then my wife and I could have handled after we thought about what would be left after the movers did their part. After I walked the guys around the house to show them what was going and/or staying, they were ready to get started. There was only one thing that went wrong and it was our fault. The main part of the swing set wouldn't come apart. This caused the movers to have to come back for the last of the few things that wouldn't fit on the truck. The movers were planning in the beginning to come back the next day around 9 or 930am for the rest of the things that wouldn't fit on the truck, which was fine with me. The guys ended up coming back right after unloading the truck at our new house, which worked out the best for both of us. Thank you again to the 3 man crew that made our 1st big move a success!

Everything went really well. We requested the same team the second time that helped us on the first. They were prompt, efficient and paid attention to even our more worn furnishings as if it was new. I was really skeptical that we were going to be able to fit all of our stuff into the storage unit we rented. These guys packed all our stuff in carefully but very densely and got everything to fit. These guys were all very personable as well. I really sensed that they enjoyed their job and took pride in a job well done.

It went smoothly. The three crew team came a little late, but they called well ahead to inform us that they are late. They packing things well and items are not damaged. The crew are polite, hardworking. However, they are slower in doing everything compared with all our previous movers (we moved several times in 2014 and we know what we are talking about). We labeled our boxes for the rooms they should put in, but at least 20% of boxes are moved into wrong rooms, which is worse than all our previous movers as well. The drive from Canton to Troy takes almost three hours (!!), and billed me as such. I am told it is caused by slow traffic, while my own drive takes less than an hour. They said they will deduct lunch time but they didn't at the end, claiming that they just picked up some sandwiches quickly.

They were very professional. They did really well. The trailer was fully loaded to the point of overload but that was our fault because we have so much stuff. They let me know when they were going for lunch and went off the clock. It took two days to totally unload the trailer into a truck and then into the home. But they did a very good job. They did not damage anything in fact the guy said he treats other peoples furniture as if it was his. They were very pleasant and if we ever move again I would be very happy for them to move us.Great job

First of all, Nettie was awesome. We were building a new home and our moving date kept changing day to day. Nettie was very accommodating. She kept in contact with me and got the move scheduled. She was delightful to work with and seemed to understand the stress we were under. The movers arrived on time. They all introduced themselves and were professional. I was disappointed that they didn't prepare the house for the move. For example, they did not put moving blankets on the columns at the top of the basement stairs. They did not put plastic on the stairs or high traffic areas. We were leaving some furniture in the house but had clearly labeled everything so they would know what stayed and what went. The guys worked very hard. The move took a total of 11 hours. At the end of the day, there was still a substantial amount of things that were not moved. We were unsure why they weren't moved (TV, mirror, etc). One of the guys told my husband that he would come back the next day and meet us at the old house at 10:00 am to get the rest of the stuff. No one showed up and no one called. We waited and when we realized no one was going to show, we rented a truck and, after two trips, finished the move ourselves We did try calling the office, but it was closed by the time we called. Although the guys worked hard, there were a few things broken (glasses, plates,etc). Some boxes were crushed. We were also missing a leg to one of the sofas. We called Bos to ask if anyone had found the missing sofa leg and let Nettie know we were a bit disappointed in the move. She notified the owner who contacted us right away and came out to the house to talk about the move. He was very responsive and apologetic. He even went out of his way to get four new legs made for the sofa. We really couldn't have asked for a better response. We were split on whether we would hire them again. We liked that the owner was very responsive to the issues we had but we also think the movers could have been more careful and should have let us know they were not going to show up the following day.

Steve and Jason arrived on time, having called first to advise they were on their way. The were courteous and professional - took good care of everything that we asked them to move. Worked steadily, and taped boxes which we had missed without a single complaint. Grumbled at the stairs with the heavy loads, but not at us. All good natured. Worked for 5 hours to load the truck, then another two to unload. Finally loaded (lightly) again near dinner time, and efficiently unloaded to wrap up the day. NO damage, NO problems, NO complaints on our part. This is the second time we have used BOS moving, and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Mark Bos's estimate was very close, and his crew of good hearted movers slaved for 15 hours to make this challenging move happen! Other quotes were off by 100% of what it really took. Other movers might have walked away, but the team that came out was cheerful, and happily let me assist in stacking all the goods to make things go faster. I told them that spillage was expected, and that I was not concerned - but they did their best to prevent any small bits from falling, and were very sorry when they did...I just swept them up and we kept rolling! By the end of this very long day, the crew was happy to be going home (at 1:30 am!), and I was happy with their SUPREME effort and professionalism. As a result, I hired BOS again a few weeks later, to move my parent's belongings out of their house. The results are reviewed elsewhere, but my satisfaction is the same: SUPERB!!!

Moving is stressful. After previous experiences with borrowing pickup trucks and begging friends and family to help, I decided to leave my latest move to professionals. Bo's made the process completely painless. Their scheduler was very friendly and flexible with my desired move date. They called 48 hours in advance to confirm the time. The crew arrived exactly on time. The guys who did the work were professional, quick, and EXTREMELY careful with my belongings. They even finished two hours earlier than the projected job duration. In summary, great provider, highly recommended.

We had a great experience with Bos Moving! My husband and I have moved several times in the past, but we have always moved ourselves so we were a bit nervous about hiring movers. We were happy with them from our first phone call. Their receptionist, Netie, is cheery and helped answer all our questions and get us scheduled. We called other companies and found Bos' prices to be competitive. We packed ourselves, but the guys did a great job of handling our things with care and put everything where I wanted it in the new house. They were professional and kind. We were so pleased with our experience, we will never move ourselves again and Bos will certainly be who we call!

Well let?s see.... BOS packed (partially) and moved a 4 bdrm house to another 4 bdrm house. In the process they completely underestimated the time and cost of the move. They didn?t have enough trucks available or more like their trucks were too small for the job, making them have to re-use the same trucks multiple times to complete the move. This of course was a logistical nightmare, loading a truck taking to a storage unit, unloading and returning with that same truck. This in turn led to our household items being handled, stacked, and moved far too many consecutive times for which I am sure contributed to more and more damage to our valuables. BOS packing service was atrocious, careless, sloppy, and downright incompetent!! We had packed about 60% and requested their service to finish up. Well that was a HUGE mistake. Items were literally dumped, poured, very carelessly thrown into the majority of the boxes they packed. There was no sense care or logic to any of the so called 'packing' that was done by BOS. The boxes weren?t labeled appropriately either. Unfortunately the damage and chaos created by these clowns was the least are concerns. So our complete household was packed and picked up at the end of June. Since we couldn?t close on our new home until mid July our stuff remained in storage until we were ready for it at the end of July. The day then night our stuff arrived and BOS began moving it into our new home we began to notice immediately damaged furniture, boxes and other household items. None of the furniture had been wrapped for protection, boxes were crushed, and as each truck was unloaded chaos ensued. The organization was just not there. I would have had more satisfaction if I had just hired a bunch of drunken college kids to help move us. The damage and outright broken things from this move continues to boggle our minds. Dishes, glasses, ceramics, punctured paintings, scratched and gouged furniture, broken furniture, lost items, mis labeled boxes, even the short time in storage left a layer dirt and dust on everything, I could go on and on. Anyway it was a huge mistake to use BOS moving services for our move and would not ever recommend them. I should've went with some of the other movers I quoted, some a bit higher priced but I am sure probably worth it. Trust me, these guys are incompetent clowns and have no business in the moving business.

Don, Terry and Shawn showed up at the old house on time and hit the floor running. Those guys definitely knew what to do. They let me use their wardrobe boxes, which made moving the hanging clothes so much easier. They were efficient, professional and entertaining. They sang as they moved on and off the truck so they didn't run into each other. At the new place I stood by the door and told them where everything went, they placed every box and piece of furniture where I wanted. I did find a broken snow globe and picture frame while unpacking, but in all fairness I packed the boxes, not them. They finished in the time estimated. If you hire these guys, be prepared, they move in and take over before you even know what hit you. They did an awesome job.

These guys were amazing. We had four, Joe, Kevin, Brandon and sorry not to remember last persons name but we could not have had a better experience. They were patient with us, handled our high end and expensive belongings with loving care and respect and did not break or scratch one single thing. I would highly recommend this company and would use again, even though I hope to not move any time soon. :-)

The whole job was excellent. Brandon and Kevin were our movers and they did a fantastic job. I would recommend this company and the great bunch of guys that work for Mark. They did a few extras for us as far as taking care of special items that needed special attention.

I could not be happier with the service BOS moving provided over the July 4th holiday weekend. They were on time, very professional, friendly, paid great attention to detail when moving my belongings, and completed the move within a timely manner. I cannot say enough great things about this moving company. Great value for the money spent! Looks like I will not be using Two Men and a Truck anymore for my moving needs Thanks BOS !

We had two of the guys out to move us out of our 1300 square foot ranch. We had the majority of things packed in boxes and ready to go. The two gentlemen who moved us showed up on time at 9:30am and had us into our new house by 2:30pm. I can't say enough good things about the experience. The movers busted their humps and were very accommodating with any requests we had. All our items showed up at the house with no damage and fragile items were well secured while in-transit. I wouldn't recommend anyone else.
