Bos Moving & Service

BOS was outstanding and I would use them again without question. They showed up at 10am as scheduled with 3 movers and a 30 foot truck. After looking at all the items that needed to be moved they asked if they could call in additional workers and another truck to make the job go faster. Also, they asked about where to position the truck and didn't back onto the grass as I had a sprinkler system and septic tank - this was great that they asked. All 5 workers were excellent - very courteous and well mannered and worked hard. They ended up making 2 trips to the storage units and were very careful with all the items they moved. They carefully placed everything into the units with nothing being damaged and made sure to protect all the items with moving blankets that we had purchased. The move was finished by 9pm and again all 5 workers worked hard even though they were paid by the hour. I've dealt with many moving companies in the past where the crews were very young and not careful. This team and foreman were great and I would definitley recommend them to anyone who is looking to move...

Overall, I was very pleased with the service I received. I wouldn't say they showed up late but did arrive about 10 minutes after the window that they said they would be there. They worked very hard, took great care to protect our furniture that was being moved and had really good attitudes. The only things I was disappointed with were that when they pulled the truck in the driveway, they knocked down several branches off some bushes and did not clean up the mess. In addition there was some small debris, papers, plastic, etc. that was left in the driveway that they also did not collect. Overall, I would consider these as minor issues and would highly recommend Bos and have already done so the family moving into my old house.

We hired a 3 man crew because we had a lot of heavy stuff. My husband and I did some of it on our own the day before the moving crew came and hired them specifically for heavy stuff and things in the basement. They arrived on time and ready to work. They loaded a 26 foot truck, packed full, within 2 hours. Got to the new house, unloaded same truck in about the same amount of time. NOTHING was damaged, they were very careful with all of our belongings and inside the home. They got everything in and set up where we wanted it. Friendly, professional, great guys! I cannot say enough great things about them! I would hire Bos again in a heartbeat and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to family and friends. I was a little worried about hiring a moving company after hearing other horror stories of damaged items and lost things but Bos was amazing! If you need to hire movers, you will not go wrong with Bos! I actually haven't had internet service since the move and today is my first day online. Writing this review is the first thing I've done because I feel so strongly about it! Don't bother calling around - hire them - you won't regret it!

The good-the packers got us all packed up in less than half a day and the overall cost of the move including packing was very competitive. Workers were polite and courteous. The bad- Packers- smoked in our garage and despite being asked to pick up their cigarette buts, left several around and in our front yard. The move- despite having just moved the people out of the house we were moving into, they put all our stuff in a semi they jam packed instead of two smaller trucks, which is how they moved the people out due to a long and curved driveway. It would be impossible to get a semi in and out of our driveway. This resulted in several items being damaged, the move taking far longer than it should have since they had to unload from the curb and carry everything the 100 or so yards from the street to our house. The follow up-Mark the owner came out after a month giving us a chance to unpack and see what if anything needed attention. He was professional and courteous as well as reassuring that the damage caused by the move would be handled. After about a month, I called to see where things stood on getting our items repaired/replaced. I got no return call. I called again, some one very nice said she would our file on the top of the pile on Mark's desk with a note. Still no call from mark or anyone else with an update. Called again, same lady was apologetic and said she would call mark to let him know that we were anxious to get things resolved. Still no call back. Called again today and was told by the owners wife in what I perceived as a very rude manner despite all the sirs, and pleases, that they were very busy and I would need to be a little more patient. I had to say excuse me 3-4 times just to get her to let me finish my sentence. I was trying to tell her all I wanted was a response to my several attempts to get an update. Too busy to provide after the sale customer service I guess. I will add to this review after the damage and extra costs we incurred due to poor logistics are addressed for better or worse. If they do the right thing which would be to repair, replace or remunerate for damages, and refund some cost due to the fact that they had just moved items from our new house and should have known it would be impossible to get a semi down a driveway they were just in 10 days before I will report that they did make things right. If not, i will report that too. To be completely fair the people we bought the house from had a great experience. This review is our experience and it was not good.

Don & Joe called to let me know what time they would be arriving. Arrived on time and went to work, they were fast, friendly and cautious with my belongings. We worked toghether on where I wanted and needed things to go. It was a very pleaseant experience. In today's society where customer service has gone by the wayside Bos Moving service was a refreshing surprise. I would recommend them to anyone! They moved my 2 bdr apartment into a 3 bdr home and I had a full truck! We started at 10am and were totally complete by 3pm! Thanks guys...You Rock!

They were on time. They showed up with three men instead of two and allowed me the option to keep that third man. opted for the third man. They moved everything out of storage for me into a huge truck. guys were all very good. if they noticed that something was damaged they let me know in advice. I liked that. Two of the men, David and Terry, worked harder than the other. I wanted them to come through the back but the truck was too big and they insisted on coming through the front. They ran over the curb, and hit a tree and caused it to lose limbs. The driver called condo office and said they would take care of it. The service was good and on time. The owner came out and cut down the limb and hauled it away just as they said they would. I would definetly use this company again.

The movers did a great job. Very pleasant. No goofing off. It wasn't an easy move since my home office is on the second floor. They even took my very large desk apart so it would fit through the doors and reassembled it. Very pleased with how the move went and the care taken not to damage my possessions.

Excellent. Steve and Jerry were so professional. The world would be great were all like these men.

Movers showed up 2 hours late. No professionalism at all nor they were sorry about the delay. Didn't had proper protection for bigger furniture. Price was competitive.. Completed the job within 2 hours I will think twice before I use them again

I had the worst move ever in February, when I vacated my sold house and moved my belongings into inside storage. That's why I joined Angie's List in the first place. I had vowed never again to have such a horrible move. I first contacted Bos via email from Angie's List. They promptly returned my message asking for more details so they could give me a realistic estimate. When I called on Saturday, (first chance I had), I accidentally got the owner, who was very friendly. He took a special message for the office manager about my preferred date, (because she did all the scheduling and was out preparing for a baby shower, I believe). It was so nice to talk to friendly people after my horrifying experience with another moving company in February. My date was confirmed first thing Monday morning for a large truck and 3 movers. I was concerned about the truck size, since my things didn't all fit on the truck during my last move. The driver called me about 1 1/2 hours before they were due to tell me that another client had cancelled and to ask if I'd like one more mover. I had already scheduled for 3 at a very reasonable price, but after consulting with the driver, decided that one more would really shorten the move time. With a shorter time, the cost worked out about the same, but we saved roughly 3 hours. Wow! These guys were great! The driver had to work extra hard just to park the big semi at the storage facility, because they were repairing several sinkholes. They had all of my belongings out of the inside, second-floor storage units in no time. At my new house, the first thing they took off the truck was a chair for me to sit in inside the garage. As they took each item off the truck, they asked where in the tri-level house I would like it. They were professional, courteous, friendly and funny. SUCH a change from my last moving experience with another company. I would not hesitate to hire this company again, and have been recommending them to anyone who will listen!

Mark Bos came out, walked through the house and gave me an estimate, which is what sealed the deal for me - a lot of other guys wanted detailed inventories, including weights of individual boxes (we had over 50 - no way I was going to weigh them all). On moving day, they arrived on-time with the biggest moving truck I've ever seen - no worries about not getting all our stuff in one go! The crew - Eric, Dave and Josh - were very efficient and obviously knew their stuff. Our only losses were a wine glass and a glass vase, but since we packed that's probably on us. Still, not bad for a whole house's worth of stuff. They kept me advised on what was going on and worked around me with good humor. At the end of the day, they beat Mark's estimate for time, so the job came in under his estimate.

Mark Bos gave an in person estimate of the moving costs, what to expect and answered all questions we had. Then, we had to reschedule the move several times and they were more than helpful with new dates. Kevin and Joshua arrived at the door on time, carefully loaded and delivered everything on the truck just as promised.

Bos Moving Service did an excellent job. The movers Joel, Kevin, and Jimmy were very professional and polite. They were very cautious not to damage the furniture, walls, or flooring. I would highly recommend this company. When we are ready for a "entire" house move, we will be hiring them!

They got lost, they called for direction, but I could live with that since I was not charged for it. They were not happy with some of my packing and they gave me suggestions for next time to make it go faster. The team was very accommodating. No breaks they work for 6 hours and made an additional stop to deliver items to a second location. I would use them again. I forgot to tip them! i\It was a very stressful and emotional day and they made it a lot easier.

THIS WAS QUITE AWHILE AGO SO I DON'T REMEMBER THE GENTLEMAN'S NAMES WHO HELPED US, BUT THEY WERE PUNCTUAL, FRIENDLY, AND PROFESSIONAL. THEY DID A GREAT JOB FOR US IN A MINIMAL AMOUNT OF TIME AND THE PRICE WAS VERY REASONABLE.

We had already gotten estimates from a couple of companies when someone said they'd heard good things about Bos. At the last minute, I emailed Bos to see about getting an estimate. Mark Bos came out that day and gave me an estimate and description of what he thought we needed. We ended up going with him and scheduled a date. Due to complications from sellers of our new home, the actually move date was changed 3 times, but Nettie in the office was great about it! On move day, they called and said they were on their way. The only dissapointing part was that it then took them over 45 minutes to arrive (shouldn't have taken that long from where they were). But, when they arrived, they were very nice, professional and got right to work. They worked very hard all day, and handled the rain we encountered very well. They recommended we get carpet saver (plastic that sticks to the carpet) for the new house so that we didn't ruin it. Fortunately, we had someone that could run out and get that before they arrived at the new house, but this should have been suggested before move day. Everything went smoothly. Minor dings on furniture/wall. Overall, very pleased with their service and estimate, which came in pretty close to actual costs.

Movers were scheduled to arrive between 9 and 9:30am and they arrived at 9:15am. Josh and Jim looked around to access the move than started moving boxes. I have moved several times and I must say that this was one of the most stress free moves I have ever had. Josh and Jim were organized, professional, and I have to say comical. I have never laughed so much while moving. They might want to take their show on the road. I have said that this will be my last move but Josh and Jim made it so effortless that if I decide to move again I would definitely use Bos Movers again. Kudos to a great company and wonderful employees. Thanks again for a great move.

They worked hard and continuously and finished in less time than expected. Very friendly and concerned that we were happy.

Nettie in the office suggested a three man team and she was correct. We did need all three guys because so many book boxes were downstairs. Polite, clean, had all the tools, blankets and stuff they needed. Worked continuously, timing their breaks so something was always being done. Made useful suggestions on how to get everything done the best way. They worked from ten in the morning until 8 at night. We had used Bos Moving before, in 1990 when I married and moved. When we moved back to MI from OH, I searched for them to handle our move from a rental condo to our home. Was glad to find them still in business, and they did a great job. Don was our team leader. Very easy to work with. Would recommend Bos to anyone moving, or even for re-arranging furniture inside the home. Very pleasant employees. No affiliation with them or any moving company or competitor, just a local, family owned business that we have had multiple successful experiences with.

We have used Bos to move on 4 occasions - each time it was perfect - Our first move was the most complicated - we moved from a house we had lived in for 25 years to a detached condo - we did it in two moves so that we could sell our house - the first was 3/4 of the stuff from the house (a little more than decluttering) to a large storage unit - the movers removed everything that was tagged and packed it into the storage garage. Once we sold the house Bos moved us from one house to the other - then moved everything we had in storage to our new house - The other moves have been fairly simple point to point - they do an excellent job of estimating and their bid has always been the most reasonable.

The pricing was not cheap or expensive, I would say a little above the average. They said they will show up between 9 to 9:30 am, they showed up at 10 am and didn't call to say they will be late. Three guys arrived instead of two, and raised the charge from $85 to 119 / hr for having three men. They introduced themselves by name. It took them 3:15 hrs to do the whole job. Two of the men were ok, the third wasn't. I had to move only one bedroom set and my stuff in the basement. One of the men was extremely unprofessional. They broke my back door's window during the moving, didn't take their shoes off when arrived at the new house that is covered with white carpet. I have had already covered their path with plastic but 3rd man kept stepping on the carpet with his dirty shoes despite my request not to do so. He was unhappy because I asked them to move couple old furniture to my front yard as junk, the man told me that wasn't part of their job, but did it anyway. He was unhappy and showed it all the time. I figured If I was moving the whole house (3 bedroom small house) it woud have cost much more. It was unpleasant experience, and for you to know, I am a tolerant person.

These folks were GREAT!....Very attentive to customer service!...Friendly, professional, capable and with competitive pricing! I would use them again in a heartbeat....but not moving anywhere for a while.

They were able to quickly schedule an estimate. The owner arrived promptly and professionally completed the estimate. Due to remodel work not completed on time, they easily accomodated our need to reschedule the move 2 different times. The team of movers arrived on time and acted professionally while conducting the move. We were a little disappointed that some items were not reassembled fully or placed in the rooms they were labled to go into. These were minor issues, though. The experience was an overall success and we would recommend them for others to use!
