About us

We are a husband-and-wife team of RESIDENTIAL REAL ESTATE APPRAISERS with over 20 years of experience in Southeast Michigan. By law, appraisers are not allowed to give estimates of property value without a legal appraisal report. The process involves seeing the property, doing an analysis, and typing the report. Reports are typically completed within two days of seeing the property. Our fee for reports is dependent on the complexity of the property. You can hire us for private appraisals for estates, divorce, tax challenges, and values to assist with buying and selling properties. Appraisals for mortgages must go through your mortgage company. We do not do commercial real estate. We focus on quality appraisals delivered in a timely fashion.

Everything went well. Erica came out to do my home appraisal four days after I called. She answered all of my questions and had my appraisal done and emailed to me within 2 days. Oh, and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend.

They were quick to get me scheduled. Erica showed up exactly when she said she would. Very friendly and professional from start of our appraisal to the end. The finished report was provided to us within a few days as promised. We needed help proving our tax assessment was too high and the appraisal helped prove the true value of our home was closer to what we felt it should be for our tax assessment. Overall I highly recommend Darby for anyone who needs a appraisal!
