Suburban Basement Waterproofing

Very poor diagnostic skill . Look like when he see basement leaks , don’t think anything other than foundation leak . But there is lot more other possibilities ( like in old building sewer run under concrete and that can leak , or water pipe ca leak also . In first two pictures u can see where leak was ( it was under slab from kitchen sewer line ) Here is my experience in Detail. I am property manager of one apartment building. We had a water leak in one of our walkout basement unit . We called him . He ran water test from outside for 15 minutes. But we didn’t seen that much water coming inside , specially compared to what it was collecting by leak . But than he explained me that if some time if it’s drain tile issue than water don’t come inside that quick . He didn’t ran any other test or check other possibilities , But the way he talked I convinced and i gave him job with the money ($2350)what he asked without any negotiating . They came with two other crew and dig about 25 ft around building and did water proofing, add some missing drain tile and fill out some crack . He charge me $ 200 extra for little more concrete PCs and roots they find it , and I paid him . But next day we seen water again and same time my regular maintenance guy came ( I am paying him $15 per hour ) . I explain him whole situation and first thing he did that he took a sample of water , it was thick and stink . Right away he said that this is not outside water , it’s sewer water . He found some food in side . Than we ran water in kitchen sink and right away we seen water coming out from slab . It was that simple to diagnose the problem. That water was coming out from sewer is leak or broke which is running under the slab . Now this company is specialized in basement water proofing. If they have wide experience than they should of check water sample and check possibilities for sewer leak , specially when they seen that after running water test water is not coming inside. Just today I argued with him ( Alex from suburban basements) for hour and half but he didn’t admitted his mistake. What my mistake is that I trust him and I overruled our company policy which we always get three quotes and opinion for any job. Again , Alex if u reading this review, I got screwed but at lest check this two things ( water sample and sewer leak possibilities) in future when u hit with same problem with other clients, unless if u want to do same practice . Same time I am checking on google now . It’s simple rule that u always check what king of water u greeting in in water leak ( thick , clean , with dirt or with some waste ) , run water test from outside ( which he did ) and inside from kitchen sink , shower and toilet flush ( which he never did ) . How can u call them specialize or expert in water leak . So far I can not tell how honest they r because just yesterday night he was agree to refund me some money , but I text him few times today but didn’t get any reply.

It went horribly. They were very pushy to get the work started. They said they could do the work without me being home, which wasn't true. I needed to be home so I could let two inexperienced guys in to do the work. They left a bunch of soil in the front of the house.

They were digging in my front porch and scratched my patio chairs and got tar on my chair. They got tar on my patio stones, scratched stones, scraped the stones as well. They left branches and rock behind. They put dirt in my trash can. They didn't clean after themselves.

They were extremely professional at first contact and set an appointment to look at the issues I was having in the basement and gave me an estimate. We scheduled an appointment and the workers showed up very punctually and completed the work in a timely manner. They were extremely professional and the work required a revisit to finish it up. A second appointment was set and again the work was completed very punctually and professionally. I would highly recommend them plus they offer a lifetime work quality warranty.

Wonderful experience! Alex was always prompt and very professional. Communication was great between setting up times for the estimate and work to be done. Work done perfectly. No more water seeping out of cracks in walls. I wish that I had this done years ago. I'm happy that I found Suburban Basement and you will too. Don't waste your time calling others. Suburban's price was better than others.

We had Suburban Basement out to give us a quote on fixing cracks in our basement walls so we could finish our basement. Alex came out right away and gave us a great quote! He also told us about the rod holes and gave us a price on filling those. He came out when he said he would and his guys were very professional and got the job done in a timely manor. I realized that a few of the rod holes were covered by a board we had hanging and he had his guy fill them within two days. Overall a very stress free experience!
