Mr. Electric of Macomb and Oakland Counties

They were awful. I got them through Angie's List. They were not good. It was way too high of a price, like double the amount it should have been. Almost double, not quite. They didn't get back with me several times. He said he was going to, and he never did. I called and then they said, "Well, we'll get to you end of the week," or something like that and I said, "That's too long." Then they got back to me a couple of times. The whole thing was a bad experience. I paid $100 for them to come and tell me I needed smoke alarms. They did what they were supposed to for the deal. The price was too high. I got it done for about half. I got it done for $750. They wanted well over $1000. I will never get them again. They were very professional but not punctual.

It was excellent. Very thorough, on time. Went above and beyond with answering questions and offering suggestions.

. Although the cost of the home generator through the Deal was a good one, all the ancillary charges started to add up, and I simply could not afford to move forward with it. If I ever win the lottery, I will have Mr. Electric install the generator, without any hesitation.

John Brennan (Manager) set up and confirmed appointments via email for initial inspection and final installation in a timely and responsive manner. Chuck Lumpkin (Master Electrician/Installer) was timely, personable, knowledgeable, neat and efficient. He asked open-ended questions to confirm my wishes and took the time at every opportunity to answer my incessant questions and explain the requirements, purpose and process of the installation.

The provider found many deficiencies and gave an estimate for work to be done in March. I think the encounter went well, although I don't want to spend money on this. This is not his fault, because the deficiencies will show up when I sell my home..

The technician was on time and pleasant. He made me feel comfortable as soon as he came to my home. He was neat and clean and took the time to explain things thoroughly and to make sure we were satisfied with his visit. We are not using the company but the technician was wonderful and he is the reason we are giving an A. The reason we are not going with the company is because there was a misunderstanding between what was advertised and what the deal included.

It was okay. The service wasn't more than the price of the deal. They were good. He knew what he was doing. If their price is reasonable, I would use them again.

The service went fairly well. I was a little disappointed that I only had received a 5% senior discount though as they had advertised a 10% discount online at the time. I called to complain about this and they never really did anything about the discount and they just told me that only give 5% and didn't offer any explanation regarding the 10% I had seen online at the time.

They took the thermostat off the wall, removed the old batteries, and installed new ones. The total time that they were there was 10 minutes and they charged me 79.50 for the service call and 107.25 for replacing the batteries. That is all that they did and I feel that they over charged me.

Scheduling had some issues - I live in Nevada, the house is in Michigan - I wanted to schedule one comprehensive visit but it ended up broken into two. Tenant was unhappy but it was done for his safety and my peace of mind. Overall, experience went well and would definitely contact for work in the future.

The installation was perfect. The workers were professional and very speedy to install the extra gas line, electrical line and generator. I am very happy with the product, installation and service. Unfortunately the deal on Angie's list is 3899. I had 5000 saved and bought the 3899 deal. I was thinking this maybe an extra 1000 over the advertised prices. After the 3899 purchase from me, the company came to my house and gave me an estimate of ~7500. I was really surprised! What about the 3899 deal? Well, it was not real, the cost was similar to my previous estimates of 7 to 8,000 dollars. My advice is to save the money (do not believe the 3899 deal) and purchase the generator from this company or another company based on quality of service. The 3899 deal is not real!

It went perfectly, I really appreciate the clean installation and fast, friendly service. You get what you pay for, and they did great work.

Scheduled appointment... re-scheduled that appointment, canceled the re-scheduled appointment mid day and re-scheduled again. FREAKING NO CALL NO SHOWED THE RE-RE-RE-SCHEDULED APPT. 30 min after appointment time they called and asked where I was. I told them they missed their two hour appointment window and that I would be seeking a refund and find would another provider.

After I left a voicemail, the secretary returned my call. She sounded like she was in a tunnel, probably Bluetooth or a speaker phone, which caused her to have difficulty hearing me. She kept saying, "What?" "What?" The next day, my appointment time came and went. When I called to see where the electrician was, the same lady I spoke with the day prior said my number was wrong in their system. She didn't apologize and was somewhat blaming to me for her writing down my number incorrectly after she had it right at least once when she initially returned my call. The next appointment she had was a week later, so I chose to take my business to someplace more professional and organized.

Steve arrived promptly as promised. He spent the time explaining what the electrical issue was, and performed the necessary repairs. I highly recommend Mr. Electric, and will be using them in the future for the renovation of our new home.

He was on time and professional while still being very personable. The front of the house has three bird baths and for some reason it kept blowing the fuse when we used one of the plugs. He helped us with some simple wiring changes on a plug which has remedied the situation about 90% of the time. We were also told what we would need to do if the bypass didn't completely fix it and it should be no problem to fix the last 10% of the time that it blows. I am glad we had him come and investigate because our house has many issues that need to be brought up to code. Fortunately it will not be difficult fixes but just basic smoke detector, GFCI plug replacements and such. I plan on using Mr. Electric to put in a solid Grounding system. I really appreciate the time that he took to check the house and help us with our electrical problems. A+++++ Excellence!

I spoke to Susan on June 19, 2015. I told her I did not need a home electrical inspection, but I needed security cameras installed she said OK and scheduled the appointment for the following Friday ( June 26th) (fine print said "1 additional hour of labor to solve your electrical issue (if time allows) and to address other electrical issues. Example projects include installing new lighting, dimmers, and switches, installing interior or exterior outlets" When the technician arrived, he did the "inspection" and told my husband we did not pay for camera installation, but he would send me an estimate for installation and the price we paid would be deducted from that. I have not heard back from them. I waited until after the holiday to send them a message and I still have not heard anything.

Communication throughout the entire project was without complaint. Steve G. did a fantastic job. I have some additional ideas and will no doubt use Mr. Electric again.
