After completing the project wizard on the Angie's List website, Hoover called me within a few minutes. We arranged a visit and they said they would call back an hour before the plumber would arrive. They called around 11:30 AM and he arrived at 12:30 PM. He examined the kitchen faucet area and also observed my wife when she turned off the main water valve. He quoted $1,100 to replace the faucet, the main water valve (which we did not ask about replacing) and the two valves under the sink (which we had asked about replacing). Since we are getting the entire kitchen replaced next year, replacing anything but the kitchen faucet was not necessary. Replacing the kitchen faucet itself was $380, which was fairly expensive for one hour of work, and did not include the faucet itself, which I had purchased at Home Depot for $64. The plumber completed the job in a hour, like he said, and the faucet works great. But if we weren't in an emergency of our own making, we would have gotten two other quotes for comparison. We really didn't have a choice, since the kitchen faucet had not been operable since the prior afternoon. Overall, I'm happy with the work, and the plumber was nice and professional, but the price was excessive.

They replaced 1 faulty wall out lets, and 2 faulty switches. Very pleased with their work.

I had them come out to repair my furnace. They gave me 2 quote first for a new furnace and 2 quote for a repair. I opted for the repair. they ordered the part that they said needed replacement. When they came they claimed that the furnace was worked on by someone when they couldn't get the furnace to work. I think all they really wanted to do was replace the because they sure didn't know how to fix it!

I paid $59 for a Tech to come out and give me generic pricing for different light fixtures, for a total; 3 times the cost of the fixtures. They can serve their potential customers better by quoting over the phone and saving me $59

I was home alone and noticed my sump pump was not working. Needed assistance immediately and called Hoover. Technician was professional and knowledgeable and was able to discover the problem. Stated 2 pvc pipes were clogged and needed to be replace. Price $800!!!! I believe he was taking advantage of the fact that I was a woman, and alone.

he charged us for a service call for coming out, which i was not told about when i made the appointment and his estimate was double the price of another company that came out to give me a FREE estimate

restored the power to the outlet and replace the the outlet. It was lot more expensive than it should have been.

Estimate was way to high. Double everybody else. I had to get somebody not even on your list. The other two had no openings for at least two weeks.

Fixed outages where plugs would not work correctly

The plumber came and quoted me $400 to change a $6 seal!!!!! Then he tried to convince me that my other toilet also needed repair. He also tried to sell me a service plan. Overall, he quoted me $700 for a job that I ended up doing by myself for $6 and 45 minutes of my time (this included the time that it took to drive to Home Depot and buy the part!) I had to pay $59 for the Service Call. Will NEVER use them again!!!!!!!!!!!

Michael Maczka and Shane Isenbarg were at my house to fix plumbing and electrical issues respectively. The service provided was great and they did explain the steps to fix the issues. Definite peace of mind after their work.

Hoover does not give price estimates over the phone. That should have been my first warning that the price was going to be over the top. I cannot help thinking that I got ripped off. I purchased my toilet and had it in the house when the plummer arrived. When he got there he estimated the install at 590 bucks. I was thinking that is really high. That also did not include the cost of replacing the seal at the bottom of the toilet (after all the toilet was original to the house) My friend also bought her toilet from home depot and paid for them to install it at 225.00, but guess who did the install, Hoover Electric. So even though the tech was good and service was excellent, I will not be using them again.
