Good value, very knowledgeable

It looks horrible certain areas are hanging down, and it did not work, I can still hear everything nothing changed. I am not a happy customer.

Job well done in a timely manner

I bought a house in Fraser and came to find out I had very high energy bills and 2 inches of insulation. Tom from Dana Insulation came out and guaranteed a minimum of a 20% energy and gas bill reduction. He said realistically it will be 25-35% by getting their attic insulation. On the day of the job the crew showed up on time and took a look around. They came unprepared and had to go back to their shop 15min away. A few hours later they came back and got set up. They kept calling their office asking questions unsure what and where they were putting the insulation. Shortly after starting they went and sat in their truck or paced up and down the sidewalk on the phone. I assume it was their lunch but I was unsure since they were constantly on their phones. After their break they got 2-3 hours of work in before deciding to call it for the day. At some point during that time the owner arrived sat in his truck and left. He did not come into the house or greet me. They vacuumed and left. There was a lot of insulation left in the house and rusty staples throughout the house, porch, and driveway (ballpark of 50+). My 1yr old handed me one so I called the company and complained. At the start of day 2 the contractors were stumped on how to add insulation to the attic above our extra bedroom. So they sat in their truck or on the phone for the first 2 hours trying to figure it out. The owner called me and said they were going to pop a vent off the roof and replace it with a new one and he would stop by when they finished and check everything. So they popped off the vent and just filled in insulation hoping for the best. It was very unprofessional. I found out at the end because I asked that they did not replace it and were not told to do so. One of the contractors got stuck in the small attic door entrance. They were screaming, swearing and panicking. We rushed over to help them while the other contractor was outside on their phone. Shortly after their blower broke down and they had to wait for repairs. There was only a few hours of work done and they said the job was finished. The owner DID NOT come and inspect their work. The contractors asking for help from the office all day. They also left more insulation and staples all over my driveway. The owner scheduled a time to come take a look but no call no showed. I reached out to Tom multiple times over my rebate but he would brush me off to someone else. I was asked 2 times over email and one time on phone for simple information for it that they somehow kept loosing it? I reached out to Tom months later with my bills showing him nothing has changed like he guaranteed would by spending all of this money on attic insulation. I also mentioned I had not received my rebate which was well past the window. The owner called me and said that he reviewed the bills and checked online where I was last year. He agreed they were way to high and that the insulation did not do what it should of. He scheduled a time to come out and look at what was going on. Again he was a no call no show. I got a hold of him again and he apologized. He said he was going to bring out a heat gun along with more measurement equipment. He was going to test all of the walls, ceilings, attic, furnace, AC, and vents. I asked why they did not do this from the start and he said they only do it when there is a problem. This seems backwards to me. We scheduled another time and he no call no showed yet again.

I bought a home in Madison Heights in 2012. It was built in 1959. I didnâ t know until recently why it was cold in certain area of my house. I was referred by a friend/contractor to Tom with Dana Insulation. Tom came out on time and was very professional and knowledgeable. He said there are a few places where heat is lost. The attic, basement (where the top wall meets the house called the shoulder. Tom went up in my attic and said there was decent insulation but it should have more. While he was there he recommended a few roof vents due to air circulation problems. (I had no soffit vents). He then noticed my bathroom exhaust fan only vented into the attic but not out of the house. He said moisture will be an issue. He also told me what I already knew which was these older homes have â Zeroâ absolutely â Noâ insulation inside any of my (4)outside walls. I was emailed my quote in a very timely manner and the price was reasonable. They also told me I could get special financing via â Michigan Saves.â I got my financing approved and it was very easy. Long story (sorry) is the crew came out as well as Steve. Steve who was in charge is a very humble, knowledgeable, personable and amazingly honest human. The crew did a job on my house that turned not only amazed my girlfriend and I but exceeded my expectations. My cold back bedroom rooms are no longer cold after filling the gaps with blown in insulation. The temperature is steady and even. Itâ s amazing how much of a difference insulation literally (on every level) of my house made. Itâ s a smaller home but I love it and plan on staying here forever. When the job was done, Steve came out so I could sign off. He said â Now you can have your home back.â That stuck with me because he really cared and treated this home like it was his own. As soon as Steve left I contacted Sam who is the owner. I let him know how happy I was. Sam was so personable that we talked for awhile as well. I will absolutely recommend Dana Insulation to anyone and everyone. I knew it would help but had no clue I would notice this much of a difference.

The salesman, Tom, and the installers, Tim and Jay, were all a pleasure to work with. I would definitely recommend Dana Insulation to my friends and family.

Friendly, punctual, clean, respectful of house, surrounding area and rooms they worked in. Iâ d recommend a before and after picture of the attic space so customers can experience the difference their work delivers. Other than that, all good.

Well, they started on my house in January 8 2019, and we just finished up August 13 2019. Had them come back about five times to look at the insulation, or add more insulation. Once they came out with a rake to move around some insulation in my attic. because the Camera showed that roof line was not covered. Also, did not fill two cavities, finally told me that they put a blanket over them spots. They would talk we me say we will call you right back and sometimes it would take weeks for them to call me. I started to think that they forgot all about me. they know very well that I leave for work at one P.M. and one day a sales rep. Showed up at my door at 12:50 unannounced that he was coming over, SO I was late for work more than a few times, and time I was loosing money. And on the last visit they wanted me to sign off on the job, I really did not want to right now. Not knowing if the job was done right, SO I told the rep, that I have not singed any paper work. The rep called Tom the owner, I talked with Tom and said that job was four thousand dollars and that I will get a grand back from a rebate. I told Tom that I lost a lot of wages from being late or not going in, so they could work. I asked Tom to knock off some off of the bill. He got upset and said no. and he would not make any money. I said well it took you seven months to complete this job, and I missed a lot of time from work from all of this in seven months. He did not care that it took seven months and that I lost income. And did not even apologize. Had I known, I would not of hired them. I BET THAT THIS WILL NOT BE POSTED.

I have had a lot of different crews out over the years and Dana Insulation is at the top. Honest and professional all the way through, and the outstanding work was completed sooner than I expected. Highly recommend this company for insulation needs.

Tom Mackey, the owner, is a wonderful guy with vast knowledge of his business. He did not try to sell me anything I didn't need, and the price he quoted was very reasonable. The crew he sent out was great to work with, understood the project, and did a terrific job. I am already seeing energy savings and could not be happier!

Tom Hackey was very knowledgeable and they did a good job for us, although I had to track them down to schedule an appointment and they also did not complete one of the portions of the job we discussed

I was very pleased with the initial visit with Mike Poma. Mike was on time, experienced and professional. He looked over my home inside and out, attic space, living space and basement. He explained all the options and answered all my questions. When it came time to pick from the options, he respected my choices and did not try to pressure me into something I did not want. The installation crew was very polite and respected my home and wood floors by covering them with drop clothes. The crew did a very good job of cleaning up when they finished. I would recommend Dana Insulation to family and friends.
