I highly recommend that you DO NOT hire this tree service company. During two separate in-person meetings, the company’s arborist guaranteed they would address and rectify any concerns raised regarding their work. Upon the completion of their work, I recontacted the arborist, the arborist never followed through on the guarantee and the concerns were never addressed and rectified. Also, the yard clean-up was below average after their work.

Davey tree sent me the bill for $300 plus dollars, but has not finished the job at street/ Maple tree from previous review and Yew in back yard. Since I have terminated all future work with the company, but I still need the work that was promised , complete and that I was billed for. Representative from company called yesterday about my bad experience with the Maple tree and said the tree stump grinder will be scheduled

Called Davey tree to cut down my Maple Tree at street / and street and sidewalk last year They told me the tree was still alive and I spent $1000 per their suggested treatment ,turns out tree was dead this Spring so they came out and cut it down. Almost another $1000 dollars up to date

well , they were courteous and efficient. they left no mess.

Excellent job as usual. This tree has great sentimental value to me, especially since my husband passed earlier this year. Snow broke an inner branch two years ago and we have been trimming it tight so that it will fill in. The tree looks better every year. I cannot praise the trimmers well enough. The trimmer listens to my concerns and works well with me. I trust Davey Tree taking care of my "special" tree.

I had a rep from Davey's come out on June 12, 2020. He walked around my property with us and identified the trees that we wanted trimmed and/or removed. He made suggestions about which trees to keep but did say we needed to wait until the first frost to have our trees trimmed because of the Oak disease possibilities etc. He said he would send me a quote via email. I never received the quote and yes I did check my spam etc. I waited a good month and emailed them and let them know that the quote never arrived. A week or so later, my cameras caught a guy from Davey's (a different person) ring my doorbell and walk around my property. He didn't leave anything and I didn't receive a phone call, email etc. Needless to say I will be going with another company.

The were very professional and did exactly as they quoted. I would definitely use them again.

We have used Davey for years for regular landscape spraying and fertilizing. We also have them come out every other year for tree trimming and pruning. Our landscaping has remained healthy and pest free.

They came out and we walked through all the work. It took about 30-45 minutes, and we covered a lot (we have about 3/4 of trees and shrubs, both forested and landscaped). They promised an estimate on the work we discussed by the end of the week. It was never received. I followed up by calling the office twice--at 7 days and at 14 days--and both times they promised to get back to me. I never received the estimate. I contacted them here, on Angie's List. Again, they promised to get back to me. It never happened. Fine, if you don't want to do the work, don't do the work--I really don't mind that, especially in a busy market. Please don't string me along for weeks, though.

They were very professional and kind. They came out on July 3rd. I give the service an A+. Will be using them again.

They worked with me in regards to choosing various trees to plant. They also worked with me in regards to what was wrong with my bushes and how to treat them. They also have really good arborists.

They came in the winter, and you obviously can not tell which branches are dead or not in the winter. They admitted they did it wrong. However they have not and will not come back and fix their mistake. I have never heard back from them.

Was told that one trimming crew would complete all tasks except those underneath high voltage power lines (tree trimming under power lines would require special safety crew). After first team did the work, it was unsatisfactory. I called Davey and they came back and fixed the first trimming promptly. After about 6 months, the tree had still not been trimmed under the power lines. I called the arborist and customer service and explained my situation. They said the second trimming would be done soon. Then I received a bill for the fall tree health care, along with threatening letters referencing collection agencies. I left messages for the arborist but never heard back. I put a lot of time into trying to get a hold of Mr. Brinker. Then this winter Davey has the audacity to send me a proposed statement for 2016 treatments after this poor customer service. I then contacted Davey in March 2016 and spoke with a new arborist, explained my situation, and he said he would rectify the issue. He even drove out to the house, viewed the tree and agreed it needed to be fixed. He said then he would get back to me on a timeline. I have not heard back in two months since and my tree still has not been trimmed properly.

I thought what they told me and what they did wasn't really accurate. They over stated what they did. But, the work quality was okay. They were circulating in our neighborhood, knocking our doors, recommending their service to us. I thought they were going to top the trees. But they only trimmed the lower part. They might have trimmed about four trees - two in the front and two in the back. I was out of town when this all happened. My wife watched over the whole thing. When I got back, I asked her the question. She said that they told her that that was part of the contract. That's why, I was a little upset. The service was good. But, their marketing people oversold.

It’s usually been quite satisfactory. Their price is fairly competitive. Usually, they answer any questions or concerns. They were always very informative about any questions that we presented about cost or anything else. We were able to schedule and they were responsive.

It was fine. We have had them for years. I have them automatically just take the money out when they do the service because we have had them for a long time. I have never had any problems with them. We have probably had them 5 years now, maybe longer.

The service turned out well. They were unable to finish everything but are coming back to complete the work this spring and they only billed us for the work that was completed. They were a little pricey but the work was very good.
