ceramic tile, electrician, plumbing, home remodeling
 + 2 moreThe job was delayed for personal reasons that I understood, but Tom was worth waiting for. Once he began, he worked nearly every day, including weekends but excluding Christmas Day. It was all finished in about a week. He cleaned up well every day before leaving and arrived at a time convenient to me about when he predicted every morning. He is a craftsman, and a very pleasant guy, as well. I got exactly what I wanted at the price we had agreed upon. I am very pleased with the job. I found him by asking a man at the old-fashioned hardware store where I found the tub I wanted who he might recommend to install it.
Description of Work: I needed a bathtub replaced but did not want to lose the existing tile that went all the way to the ceiling. The job required careful removal of tiles, an attempt to match them, artistic installation of new tile in a way that would look good, plumbing, and electrical work (since the new tub is an "Air Masseur"). After some tiles and the old tub had been removed and the new tub installed, cement board had to be pieced in before new tile could be installed. When he grouted the new tile, he filled in little holes in my existing grout without my asking. This is a job that required finesse and attention to detail. Most folks I discussed it with did not want to bother; they suggested ripping out all the tile and replacing with some kind of synthetic enclosure.
