I was very pleased with the job that Larry did. He called me when he finished his previous job to let me know he was on his way (just about the time we'd scheduled). Larry went right to work to determine how he'd fix the problem and stuck with it until it was resolved. It wasn't an easy job because of the tight quarters to work in as well as the limited space for the washer and dryer. This made lining up the dryer vent into the wall a difficult task. After getting the dryer vent hooked up, Larry cleaned the vent and installed a new side wall vent cover. Lastly, he checked to make sure that the dryer was venting well and showed me the readings he'd gotten both before and after the job - quite a difference!

When we discovered the disconnected vent, the technician discussed all the options available to me. This included cutting into the wall where we thought the break was or putting in a new vent external to the wall. While cutting into the wall would have been the easiest fix (assuming we entered at the right place), I was concerned that there might be other loose joints along the long vent run (15 ft.). I would also have to hire and pay a drywaller to fix the wall. I choose the external vent since the run is inside the laundry room, not very obtrusive, and easily inspected it for breaks in the future.

Because of a situation beyond Mr. Butterfield's control, it was necessary for him to make two trips to complete the dryer vent cleaning. He did not charge an additional fee for the second trip. He was most pleasant and considerate in answering my questions. A considerable improvement in air flow through the ductwork was achieved due to this cleaning. He did an excellent job, and I highly recommend him.

Larry Butterfield, the local rep, scheduled an appointment at my convenience and showed up as scheduled. He arrived in a clean, professional looking minivan and was dressed professionally as well. He had special tools to clean out the vent from the outside of the house (my dryer vent was an easy access, straight shot to the outside variety) but he also checked the inside as well and confirmed there was no animal inside the dryer or vent line. The whole job took about an hour and there was no mess left behind and everything was reassembled properly. In addition, Larry was very tolerant of my German Shepherd who kept wanting to play ball with him. I would highly recommend Larry and his company to anyone desiring this service.
