Culvert was installed but pit run material washed out almost immediately. Mike made appointments to meet at the property but stood me up twice. No call - no show. He then told me the damage was the fault of the Road Commission. The Road Commission informed me the culvert was too short and built with unstable material. The Road Commission offered to provide names of reputable contractors. And the price was very high. Stay away from Dirtworks.
Description of Work: Hired to install culvert at road on my property.

The guy running the bulldozer hit the cap of my water pipe and they did damage to it and they had to come back and fix it. I think the price is pretty high. The grass came in okay. I had to water it because it had to be watered. They did permanent damage on the water pipe but the guy who came back was able to shut the water off so it has some minor damage on it. It took him a long time to get here. They arrived in the morning and started in the morning so I guess that’s punctuality. They were good. They fixed that damage and then he came out again if he could shut it off so if I have troubles, I can call them back. They were pretty good. They did the job that I paid them to.
Description of Work: I used Dirtworks Landscaping to plant grass seed.

I contracted with this provider to reseed my lawn. I gave them a check on May 16, 2016. They have yet to start the work and I have unable to get them to return calls.

A - for paver work on extensive driveway was excellent. A - for carport and retaining wall. A - for Crew responsiveness to my design and wishes. C - for contractor responsiveness. F - for stonework 1. Crew dumped garbage behind retaining wall so when dug up for planting border, had to remove garbage. 2. Stone work very poor. Had to call back to reset stones and had to work on my hands and knees in the rain with a worker to get the job done. Still has pools and major trip-points because of poor leveling. Stones butting up to lawn are falling off because of lack of proper support. Used gatordust between pavers. Did not compact, water and sweep between application layers as directed on manufacturer website. When I saw the completed job, I went to the website. I was present for a majority of the installation and expected that they were doing the job correctly. They laid the stone, swept in the gatordust and wet it down...no compacting, watering or sweeping between layers. Left massive amounts of gatordust on stones. Stones look dirty and those that are supposed to have metallic surface are dull. Gatordust is loose between stones now and weeds are coming up, holes in gatordust is spongy with air pockets under neath. I am having to scrub entire stone area on 3 sides of my house with chemical and wire brush to remove residue. 3. Contractor built stone steps using retaining wall block as a base. They used concrete that had no color to match gatordust, so the finished project looked like gobs of concrete holding stones in place. I asked the contractor to fix it. I had to purchase colorant on my own. Contractor sent a worker to "help" me try to fix it. I did not know how to fix the problem, so I suggested we just push the concrete up under stone and rub it into the block to blend it. The worker agreed. I trusted his judgment...now I really have a mess. Although I followed directions of colorant mix, when it dried, it turned out too dark. The worker did not give input into coloring the concrete. This expensive job is an eyesore and constant work for me to try to mitigate problems and repair issues as they arise. I would not recommend this contractor to install stonework. I would recommend using this contractor for landscaping, brick driveways and retaining walls. The carpenters he selected to build the carport did an excellent job and I am extremely satisfied.
