About us

Please allow me to introduce myself, my name is Mark Matus, owner/operator of Retro-Craft L.L.C., licensed and insured in the state of Michigan as a Residential Builder. I prefer to work on a project from start to finish and be involved with all areas my license allows. With the exception of mechanical, as in plumbing, electrical and HVAC, Retro-Craft L.L.C. is ready to be your contractor and produce results that exceed expectation. If the project requires any of these other trades I will arrange for these services or make recommendations of licensed mechanical contractors that can fill these needs. Should a project deems it necessary to bring on additional help to complete the job in a reasonable time frame other contractors within the industry will be called to help or be subcontracted. Ownership in a job well done is paramount to the values of this company and seeing the finished results is the gratifying part of doing business. Please allow me the opportunity to meet and discuss your project needs.

Mark does a great job. He is very detail oriented, and completed everything on time.
Description of Work: Remove old exterior door, and siding. Create new door opening in a different area, and cover and re-side old opening. That was one project. On another project, I had them build an office inside of my pole barn - 16x24'.

I solicited three bids and chose Mark based on price and Angie's list recommendation on his previous work. I was extremely satified with Mark's work. He was always on time, gave me ample notice of the days he was going to work, and showed great attention to detail. If something didn't meet his standards, he would redo it. He really listened to what I wanted and tried to implement it. He took great care to clean up the job site at the end of each day so it was safe for kids and pets. I would not heistate to hire Mark for future projects. He did a great job.
Description of Work: Constructed 12 x 12 x 8 shed on existing slab, vinyl sided, with one window and double doors.

Very good project overall. Mark does excellent work, and completes the project quickly. Quality was very good.
Description of Work: I've used Mark for several projects. The latest one was moving the outside door on our mudroom from the South side to the West Side, so it would face the deck. I've also had Mark build a workshop for me in my pole barn.
