Tim George and his co-worker (also named Tim) did a great job replacing the old rusty brackets on my old wooden garage door. They were concerned about the bottom panel splitting when they pounded the rusty screws out of the brackets; however, they knew I was committed to keeping my door for a while longer, so they worked very hard to keep the lower panel intact. I could not be happier with the final result. It was exceedingly cold and they had to finish the repair after darkness fell. This company and its employees are top-notch! They are my first choice in garage door repair companies in the Grand Rapids area from now on!

Went to leave Tuesday night and garage would not open, even after pulling cord on opener. Saw the broken spring above door. Called a few providers and Precision was the 1st one to answer. They were able to schedule someone to come out between 9-11 the next morning. The technician, James, arrived at 10 and was able to immediately see the problem, explain what needed to be done, and provide an accurate cost quote and time estimate. Both were right on the dot and our door now operates much more smoothly. I appreciate the thoroughness and professionalism that was shown during my interactions with Precision.

Dan called to say he was ahead of schedule and wanted to know if he could come by 45 minutes early which worked out perfect for us since we had made plans to meet another couple for lunch prior to our service call. It took Dan about 25 minutes to replace a broken bracket, lube the door and adjust the automatic door opener which had been out of alignment. (Had another well known company out here about 6 months ago to replace a broken spring who should have noticed the garage door was out of alignment). Garage door works perfectly now and the loud snapping noise upon opening and closing the door has now stopped. Charge was $90.00, however, we were able to use a $15.00 coupon from Angie's List bringing the cost down to $75.00 total. Thank you Dan for a job well done!

The service the company did was excellent. However, they had a new employee that inadvertently broke a window in the door with his head. We were finally able to get the issue resolved, despite some delays in getting the hard-to-find glass replacement. They were even willing to replace all of the windows so they all matched. I refused, as they had held up their end of the bargain.

No word as of today, almost a month later. Went with another Angie's List Provider. Details to follow. Thanks and have a great day!

I told them I was getting quotes if they wanted to come out and bid fine. But I was not going to pay $75 for them to bid. They said I'd have to.

Technicians called to see if they could come early so it didn't run my whole day.

The work was done in a timely manner and the garage door works great and the noise level when it opens/closes was cut considerably. Very pleased with the service call. I was lied to by Precision Door, I was over charged for both labor and material. Breanna quoted me $60 for labor and I was charged $75, spring was ridiculous! You have not heard the end of this, I have much more to say!!

They got back with me right away and they worked around my schedule. They did recommend that I replace the garage door opener. The techs were friendly, knowledgeable and offered good customer service.

It turned out pretty well. We actually had them do quite a bit more work on our door than what the original deal was. We were really impressed with them. They were very prompt in calling us and scheduling and keeping us posted on when they were going to arrive. The workers seemed very honest and gave us options, like you don't have to really fix these things, but this is what you need. We can't argue with a broken spring, it was obvious. So we thought they were a really good company. The door is working pretty well. He did tell us we probably might have issues with our opener, and that is true. It's kind of on its last legs. But otherwise the door is moving really well.

After I purchased this "Big Deal," I was really afraid that someone was going to come out and try to sell me a new garage door when all we were looking for was someone to fix our opener. I was pleasantly surprised when the technician told us what fantastic shape our garage door was in even though it is 30 years old. He spent a substantial amount of time tuning up the door and its parts (the Big Deal) and then turned to our opener. Ultimately, we were given two options: replace an expensive component in the existing opener for around $145 or install a new opener for around $450. We chose the more expensive option since our opener was around 8 or 10 years old and hadn't worked well for half that time. The NEW OPENER is a belt style (not a chain) and it is fantastic. Even our extremely sensitive dog, that alerts us to the slightest sound, can't hear it. I feel like a nut saying this but when anyone comes over, we give them a demo of our new, super quiet garage door opener. Everyone has the same reaction, "WOW!!!" The technician from Precision Garage Door was neat, clean, professional, and honest. Given a second opportunity, we'd do it again. My ONLY disappointment is that Precision is not a local company. |

Put all new rollers on garage doors along with cables. Then replaced the large springs that were 20+ years old...

My door made the most terrible sound every time it opened and shut. I had it serviced by another company and was told that's just the way is was. Randy quickly and easily found the problem, gave me some options, and also some good advise. I would not hesitate to recommend Precision Door Service.

- Installed new rollers & cables and inspected door (Angie's List Big Deal promo). All work completed professionally by Bill S., (the technician) He inspected the door and pointed out that the spring was over ten years old and may not last much longer. (I called him back just under a month later when my spring broke.) - The only sore point in the original appointment date was that the show time was set for between 9 & 11 am. After he didn't show up and had not called, I called the company at 11:45 am to inquire. Derrick told me he had been double booked. I received a call from the technician at 12:30pm and he was here 20 minutes later. The work took 40 minutes to complete. Being a night shift worker, I had stayed up that morning for this service. I told of this problem on a survey offered by the company, but they never contacted me about it. I did use this company again, because I believe in their quality of service.
