Description of Work: Install underground drains for downspouts, install stone edging, plant tree & shrubs,but down mulch. He was pretty busy and we had to have everything approved by the association before he could start the work. It was well worth the wait and not would use him again, have given his name to other people.

Description of Work: It seemed to take forever for him to do it but the drawing is dated 6-2-14. I called to ask when it would be done to speed him up. It wasn't any help and it didn't address the one area I asked him to address. It was a bad experience and a waste of money. Maybe these ideas are good but I don't have any idea what these plants look like. I don't remember what i paid but I think it was 50 bucks. I sent him an email asking about the hill that I told him was the most important part and he never replied. I made the mistake of telling him up from that I just wanted a drawing and wouldn't be having him do the work.

Description of Work: I purchased an AngiesList Deal for an Outdoor Living Space Evaluation with Plan. Mark contacted me right away and we decided to delay the evaluation due to the extreme winter weather. He came in April and did an onsite evaluation asking questions along the way, taking photographs, etc. A couple of weeks later he sent the plan to me with the pricing information. As we are having other remodeling work done right now, I let Mark know that we would not be looking to make any decisions until late summer/early fall. He was fine with that and told me to stay in touch regarding timing, etc. Overall, Mark was great to work with and was very flexible. I look forward to implementing some of the items he suggested this fall.

+ 1 moreMark Winters, owner of Landarc Studio LLC is an exceptional person. He was honest, humble, hardworking and very willing to listen. We spoke about what I wanted, he made several plans and I chose from each to create the backyard that I really could not have envisioned on my own. He was open to changes - some things needed to be more practical (function over form) and he was supportive to amendments. Expensive, but quality costs! The work was A+ in quality. VERY HAPPY!!

He was very professional in his approach and had great design .ideas. He answered all our questions & provided us with a beautiful result.
Description of Work: Terraced our backyard & installed a large boulder retaining wall across the width of the yard , incorporating a stairway made of beautiful flagstone. Using the same flagstone, he grated and installed a walkway and steps along the side of the house. These greatly reduced the steepness of the yard & incline from the front to back yard. Brought in and applied top soil, seed, retaining fabric & mulch . Transplanted flowers & shrubs to complete the project.

+ 0 moreMark and his team have done an exceptional job. While it took longer than we had anticipated, due to continuously-uncovered surprises, my wife and I are very pleased that we hired LandArc. Pleased because we know that every aspect was completed without shortcuts and especially because the yard is much more beautiful than either of us had imagined. The heading says "we want all the details", but given the challenges we had in our EGR yard with a sloping, clay mess, a brick garage that was caving in, having to re-do the slipshod work of previous contractors, drainage that went exactly opposite of where it should have (for years), a 5' brick wall that essentially fell over when pushed, and a 4 year old who wanted to help every step of the way...phew...we couldn't have asked for a better service provider than Mark. Without the overhead of the larger providers or teams of people do do the heavy lifting, our decision to hire LandArc was based on Mark's ability to listen to what we wanted, create a plan that brought it all together, and bringing his expertise to the project in a way that we could never have...and to do it all within projected costs. Now that the project is done, all we can say is "Perfect". Thanks Mark!!!

Description of Work: Replaced burned out bulbs and spots. He also reset all timers and found an outlet that needed replacement. Tried more expensive LED lights on Pergola that will last up to 20? times longer. So far so good. The lights look fabulous. Will try LED for the spots next. It was a pleasure working with Mark he was very professional in his customer service, timeliness, calling ahead to keep me apprised of his schedule, etc.

Description of Work: Mark, owner of LandArc Studio, worked for me on two projects. The first was our remodeled cottage where the landscaping had to be totally reworked. He drew up the plans after several visits to the cottage and numerous consultations with my wife and I. After we accepted the plan, Mark recommended to us a concrete contractor who could handle all of the hard surface work (Nobel Concrete, and they backed every single promise, and then some). Mark's plan specified the type of plants and particular variant for the plantings around the yard. My wife and I did the planting the following year since we had to wait for the flat work to be completed. Everything worked out great, even the deer reisistant plants. Mark, also, redesigned in 2011 the entrance landscape for the condominium development where we live. He drew up a plan for us and personally did the installation. The new design and the plantings look great. He obviously put a lot of thought and research into both projects.

+ 1 moreMark's work was excellent from start to finish. He worked well with our quirky needs and wants list and produced a lovely design that included every element that was important to us. He found contractors who knew their stuff and supervised everything with an eagle eye. He worked constructively and well with everyone we brought into the project. I would use him again in a heartbeat and recommend him to anyone.
Description of Work: Mark designed water management, a pool surround, a shed for pool equipment and deck with fire area for our city backyard. He also served as one of the contractors on the build.
