Their price is a little high but they do a good job on mole removal. I find it a little annoying that they automatically renew your programs without really asking you if that's what you want. Yes I'm sure it's in the FinePrint but I don't like how they assume that you're going to renew it on an annual basis.

They do a good job. They fertilized all last season and will be out again in the next few weeks. I don't really come into contact with the employees. They come and do the work and leave. The guys that email me seem to be nice.

It was OK but the "plugs" were very small. I don't feel this is going to help the lawn as much as deeper aeration .

I am requesting a full refund. I feel very betrayed, not even a phone call.

Chelsea (the Tech) landed, busied herself with the her tasks, finished, loaded up her equipment and headed to her next appointment. Game, Set, Match! Good job... GOOD JOB! Lawn looks marvelous this year. I was disappointed (NOT) that I didn't have a bumper crop of dandelions and clover this year like my neighbors did:)!!

They notified me via email before they were due to come. They leave a note after each visit, stating what was done. Overall I enjoy doing business with a privately owned, local ( Michigan) company instead of some national franchise.
Description of Work: I purchased lawn rolling service and weed control package this year. I first used this company thru Angie's List for core aeration service and weed control treatments last year. I was impressed by their professionalism and I didn't get any dandelions last year (hooray!). This year I'm doing the weed control treatments again and the core aeration. They also offer mole trapping service which I will use next year, as my budget is limited this year. The lawn rolling service was done on 4/5/2016 to even out areas of the yard.

My experience with this company was totally frustrating. This company advertises that the owner is available for you to call or email during they day or evening but this was not true in my experience. I asked the secretary and the service manager multiple times to please have the owner contact me at his convenience but he never did. Multiple times when I called during business hours I was told that the sales rep I was dealing with had stepped out of the office for a few minutes. This was a problem because I was trying to contact him during my breaks ( surgical nurse-can't take callbacks when with patients in surgery). Finally, I just told the secretary that I suspected he was stepping out so frequently for a few minutes to smoke and she confirmed my suspicion. I do not have time in my work schedule to deal with a company that tolerates this work ethic from its representatives. I have never been treated so rudely by a company that supposedly wants my business.
Description of Work: I contacted Tuff Turf Molebusters for service for a mole problem in my yard. I spoke with a sales representative in the office multiple times discussing treatment options available, the various costs for each option, and my concerns related to my dogs and the use of poisonous bait. Ultimately, I decided to proceed with service, excluding poisonous bait in my backyard , where the dogs are. I was contacted on Tuesday , 10/20/2015 to set up service for 10/21/2015. I provided the sales repin the office my credit card information and was told I would receive email confirmation and service the next day. I requested an after 3pm appointment because I wanted to be present for the first visit/treatment so I would have good understanding of what was being applied and where so that I could take the appropriate safety precautions with my pets. I was told that the best he could do was request an appointment after 12 noon so I told him I would make arrangements to leave my nursing job early so that I could be present. I received no email confirmation by the next morning so I called the office to inquire and the sales rep then told me he would have to check into it. I never received a call back from him. I left my job early hoping that they would follow through with their commitment for service but they never showed. I called the office and requested to speak with the owner. The owner never had the courtisey to return my multiple calls . I emailed the service manager and asked that he call me back with no success. He emailed me back and stated that I was never promised service for that day. I called the office back immediately and another office rep listened to the voicemail I had from my sale rep confirming service. Still I was told it would be another week before they could come out and they could not come after 3 pm so that I could be present. The service manager sent me an email basically stating that it was not his responsibility that I missed work for an appointment they failed to keep and he did not understand why I needed to be present for their first visit and treatment. He stated that my situation was nothing special and would be treated like all other mole jobs. I have saved all voice mails and emails from the sales rep and service manager should the owner care to investigate. As another review states, this company or at least this service manager is totally inflexible and unwilling to accommodate the consumers schedule needs. This is not acceptable.

I am sorry to hear that you have had a bad experience with scheduling your service. It is true you were told we would be there on Wednesday. Unfortunately the sales rep was thinking it was Wednesday already and he was implying next week Wednesday we would be there. This is a very lousy excuse that created poor communication. The sales rep thought he was saying next WEEK Wednesday, but he said next Wednesday, meaning the next day. I was under the impression you were called back about this misunderstanding, but it sounds like you played phone tag. Yes, that sales rep smokes a pack a day at work in a company where everybody else is health conscious and wears Fitbits. We even have 3 desks that are on treadmills. However, despite my disdain for smoking, I cannot force anybody to quit, nor can I discriminate in my hiring practices. I apologize that the service manager was rude. We tell all of our clients that they do not need to be home. The reason we discourage clients from trying to meet us is that we cannot promise a schedule time because every job is different and the time on any given property can vary from 10 minutes to 2 hours. It would not be fair to have to rush through a service in order to make an appointment with somebody else. You would not appreciate being on the short end of a service if the client after you also had an appointment. We also cannot control traffic, which consumes over 30% of our work day. You are correct that we had some bad reviews pertaining to scheduling. That is precisely why we say we don't make appointments and the client does not have to be home. Your situation is a perfect example. Because of failed communication, you are very upset with work that we never even got the chance to perform. If you did not take off work, and we came and did out job, you would have dead moles by now. If you were to read the reviews where clients do not take time out of their day to meet us, you will find over 200 clients that are happy were happy enough to take the time to write a positive review, which is a lot harder to do than a bad review. We have videos on YouTube and our website showing technicians on the job and what they are doing. Everybody thinks their mole situation is unique. The truth is we service over 1300 mole clients in a year and they are all unique because we are dealing with an animal. 21 years in business gives us experience to take care of the moles. I responded to the Angie's Big Deal for $49. Tuff Turf said that with the size of my yard, the cost would be $125. I mentioned that I had received a mailing a couple weeks prior that they would do my entire yard for $89; they honored that price. This is a quality company.

I purchased a discounted offer. They called prior to appointment and made suggestions for pre appt prep. They called to confirm and offered seed at time of aeration. I declined the extra service and they didn't hassle me, which was nice. I flagged my sprinklers and had no issues with sprinklers after. They left a care package on my door and left. Their website and lawn care suggestions are very helpful to me (1st time home buyer/yard owner) I was very please with their service and would definitely recommend them as well as rehire them in the future! Thank you!
