 + 0 moreIt started out well. They were originally very good with responding to emails and providing updates. The back was filled and leveled nicely, and on time (beginning of September). There were some areas torn up from the dump trucks, which was to be expected. The rolling and aeration didn't happen until the end of September, and still no grass seed at the beginning of October. I was told that the foreman didn't have the right seed on hand and would come back later to apply it. It was midway through October before they confirmed the seed had been put down, and by then a number of weeds and ryegrass had been established. I'm still facing some issues with my yard because of this, but it was never perfect to begin with. I will give them credit for doing a very good job for the area that was filled in, and they had the best price for the work done.

 + 1 moreWe redid the damage. Never heard back from the owners about making things right. Shame.
Description of Work: I've been a customer for many years. In the fall, I asked for Fall clean up the guys did not mulch the leaves and things were not done satisfactory for paying $50.oo per hour. I asked the company redo the clean up they only redid the back yard, In the winter I had snow plowing, they hit my steps, dragged bricks across lawn, and didn't repatch the damage. I did ask for a quote for lawn mowing, they wanted $1000.00 for a city sized lawn for the summer. I am happy with how my lawn looks now since we had to fix it on our own.

Description of Work: We hired them for snowplowing over at my Mother's house. They plowed the driveway roughly 9 times. Of those 9 times they did it correctly, according to the contract(paid in full upfront), only 1 time. We made at least 2 phone calls to let them know it wasn't done correctly. They returned the first call and said the issue would be taken care of. It wasn't. The second call got no response and the plow driver continued to do it incorrectly. We took photos and emailed them to Bruce. He apologized and said the problem would be handled immediately. The very next time it snowed, the driveway was again plowed in correctly!!! This time we emailed again reminding them that we would call the City of Wyoming if we had any further problems. Of the times they did it incorrectly and we complained, they only came out to redo the driveway twice. The other times they did nothing. They do not hold their plow truck drivers accountable and they have no quality control system to make sure the Customers get what they pay for. We will never hire them again!

 + 0 moreIt was one of the worst experiences I have had. They didn't cut the whole yard even the area that was obviously part of our property. They we fine on the flat open space but if it required that they cut around trees, or other obstacles they just didn't! The area in front of our fence they would stop 15 feet from the end. The front of the house because it was not a square area they didn't cut, around trees they didn't cut, behind out storage shed that was outside of the fence...they didn't cut. When I called the answers was well maybe they didn't realize it was part of the property? What...the outside of the fence doesn't get cut but the inside does? The area in front of the storage shed gets cut but the back doesn't. When I would catch them at the house and stop them and tell them where to cut and then watch they would but otherwise it was not done. If you don't have a perfect yard I would stay away from them. They young workers are unwilling to put the effort into it. Would definitely NEVER recommend!

 + 0 moreI didn't feel like they were that interested in the job. Someone came out, didn't really ask any questions and said he it would be about two weeks. After a few weeks I called them and they said sometime the following week but could not be specific. They called and hour before they showed up and I was not able to stay home. The tree he trimmed was minimal and I still have too much shade. The grass was not a seed but a pellet that never expanded and till this day I don't see any new grass starting. The mulch looks good and the guys did a great job with that. Update, I just got a call from them saying they laid down 8 yards of mulch instead of the 3 I asked for and want more money.

 + 0 moreThey arrived on time and did what they were supposed too. Except that I think the spreader was sticking as the fertilizer left streaks of green in the lawn where the fertilizer hit and was not as lush where it did not. But the guy was very nice and on time.

 + -1 moreWhen they said they'll come every Friday, they come earlier. They did a really good job. We're very impressed. Their office is really good. They're punctual and very professional. They're really good about moving things out of the way like the cat, kids' toys or something. They don't just mow around it, they moved it so that they could do a really good job.

Jack's did the work at the perfect time for the lawn and it has never looked better. I am considering signing for their entire lawn-care program.

 + -1 moreCame out to check out what was needed and or wanted. Came out a week later and thatced the yard and a few weeks later came back and did the rest, that is after the weather cleared up a bit. Did a great job and would use them again, didn't try to sell me stuff that I didn't need or want.

After talking with the office manager we have scheduled additional services. What I liked about Jacks is that they did not over sell me products my lawn doesn't need and gave good professional advice

 + -1 moreI contacted Jack's after I decided that my yard was so weedy and out of control that I couldn't get it to look the way I wanted it to by myself. I called them and explained the situation; they made common sense suggestions and started that same week. They have been here every week without fail since and my lawn is at least 100% improved. I am very happy with their professional service and have already contracted with them for snow removal this winter.
Description of Work: Weekly lawn mowing, trimming and edging around sidewalks and driveway. They also applied weed killer and fertilizer as needed.
