H A Irish Tree Svc

They trimmed two large trees in my backyard on Sept. 12th., they did a good job of that. BUT, they damaged one side of my cyclone fence gate with the crane and DIDN'T TELL ME. They just left without saying a thing. I discovered the damaged gate after they left when I went to close it and lock it. For three days I called, emailed and sent photos trying to get someone to come back to talk about it. Finally after business hours I got a call from the crane driver Rick that someone would come by the next day, they didn't, they stood me up, I would have heard the door bell or a knock. Now 5 days had gone by and I emailed them teeing them I am going to small claims if they don't contact me. I had to call the owner's cell phone as the regular phones were now on answer machine. I finally get this guy Harvey who claims he came by(no knock or doorbell rang). He starts name-calling me 'crazy ******e, liar', and other childish names because he is mad I mentioned legal action. After I talked him down to normal he said a fence person will fix it. I said OK but I need to talk to the person when they do. So what happens? Someone sneaks onto my property 2 days later, takes the gate, and comes sneaking back three days later and attaches the gate all WITHOUT coming to my door and letting me know or be able to approve it. AND, the replacement gate side is NOT like the original, it doesn't have the middle upright bar. It is only a square frame, these guys cheated me and went for a cut rate fix. These guys just won't give me the common courtesy of a face to face. They think they can just do what they want without my approval. So here I am with mismatched fence gates, one without the center bar, that adds strength. I didn't even get a chance to look at it and approve it, because these guys are just cowards. And I can't have a reasonable conversation with mr. Harvey, he is just intolerable. So now I will have to complete the job myself. I never got a note, phone call, or anything since asking me if I liked the new gate half. Nothing!

The company came out promptly and gave me a good price quote. I scheduled the work for “approximately two weeks out.” After eight weeks I left a voicemail and didn’t receive a response. After twelve weeks I did the work myself.

This company can be hard to get a hold of and did not schedule a time to come out and get the work done within the time period that they said they would BUT they are totally worth the wait and having patience for. I got three different quotes for this job and H.A. Irish provided the cheapest quote even with having to use a crane to remove the tree as our backyard is difficult to get equipment into. It took four weeks for them to come out from the time they provided a quote and when they did they got the job done fast and I would have never known they had been there aside from the tree being gone. They did such a great job cleaning everything up including putting our fence back together after having to take it down to get the stump grinder equipment into our yard. We just had new siding put on that side of the house that they used to get into our back yard and no damage what so ever was done to the siding. If you are willing to have patience and make a few phone calls to get a hold of H.A. Irish and to get them to come out, it is totally worth it. From the other quotes we received we saved over $200 going with H.A. and they did great work removing a tree that was not easy to get to. I definitely would hire them for any other jobs we have in the future.

Last spring I called to have someone come out and take a look at one of my trees that had several branches fall off of over the winter. He came out took a look and gave me an estimate to remove it then or said I could enjoy it for another summer and give them a call and they could come out in January or February during their less busy season and the price would be lower. I decided to wait and called them on January 16 and left a message requesting an appointment to have it removed and the stump ground. I got a call back that day and was told that they wanted to take a look at it again and would then call me with an appointment time. I got a call and they scheduled the appointment for Tuesday, February 7 and I received a call the Friday before asking for me to check with a neighbor to see if he would let them use his driveway. I checked with him and called them Monday morning to let them know that he would not give them permission to use his property so the appointment was cancelled for February 7 and I was told they would call me back with a new appointment date. I called several times and left messages after not hearing back from them. I finally talked to someone in the office and was told that she would check with the owner and get back to me with a new appointment date and that they would get the job done. February 17 I called again and was given the owners phone number so I called him and was told he was looking into some other options since the neighbor said no and they would get back to me with a new appointment. I never received a call back.

I contracted HA Irish to remove a downed limb and trim the portion of the tree where the branch had separated. They were fast and efficient in removing the downed limb, but said they needed to come back to finish the job. This was in early August, and it is now mid-November and they haven't returned. Calls to their phone number go right to voice mail and they are never returned. I finally got a hold of someone 3 weeks ago and they said they'd be back the following day. Still nothing. Contacting the BBB right now.

Excellent work. Fast and efficient. They were not able to put any equipment on our lawn to do the job due to site conditions and the damage it would have caused so they did everything by hand and with tools. They even brought in an extra crew to get the job done without any impact to price and even performed some extra items while on site with no complaints. No complaints at all, would use them in again without any hesitation. Thank you for the excellent service!

They arrived with their equipment, and at least 5 men. I was very impressed with the amount of time and team work it took to complete this job.

So far, H.A. Irish has done nothing. It was a very quick turn around time from call to estimate . The price was very good. I contacted them by email in April to schedule the service in . A week went by without a response. I called and was told it would be two weeks. The time went by. I called again and was told that I wasn't on the schedule yet. If I wanted faster service to call the other number on the estimate. I did. I got a call and said they'd be there on a Saturday. H.A. Irish was a no call no show that day. I called on Monday. Apologies, but no reschedule. I keep calling and emailing and they just won't respond. It's been more than a month since since my initial email and almost two week weeks since they were a no-show / no- call / no - nothing. I'd be happy to take re-evaluate H.A. Irish Tree Service if they'd just respond to me. So far, they are unprofessional, uncommunicative, and unreliable.

The crew (5 to 6 men), accompanied by the man who gave the estimate, arrived as promised; bringing a crane, bucket truck, chipper + box truck, flatbed truck with plywood and room for log removal, a Bobcat, and a stump grinder. I'd been asked to get the neighbor's permission to access the tree from her yard. It had been granted, but the workers only used a little of the road easement to park a truck. Only the crane truck and bucket truck were parked on my lawn. The other vehicles remained along the roadside. Obstacles to avoid: much of the canopy hung over the garage and a power line running diagonally across our driveway. Workers took a few minutes setting up and assessing how to down the tree, then got right to work. (The estimator left at this time.) They worked efficiently and steadily. Total time, from arrival to departure, was under 3 hours. Since we had someone who wanted the wood, we were left with manageable-sized pieces of the trunk and some limbs in a nice pile. The stump was ground down very well, including the raised root area surrounding the actual stump. Extra material from this was removed. The crew swept/blew and removed the debris from the wood chipper site in the road as well as from my driveway and lawn. We couldn't be more pleased with the work. "Responsiveness" was given a "B" rating only because it was a couple of days between my initial contact with the office and when the estimator first contacted me. However, once we talked and I tried phoning him a couple of times, he was excellent about getting back with me very promptly. Since his crew was going to be in my area the day after initial contact with him, we were able to get this job done a day after being given the quote.

Whole job completed with 1.5 hours, including grinding stump and clean up.

I contacted them to request a quote on removing a dead tree. I was told that an estimator would contact me with 2 days. The estimator called me 11 days later and set up an appointment to meet and look at the tree. It is now 3 days later and they have not showed. I called the office again and left a message with no response after 3 days. I would not recommend them to anyone based on this experience and others that wrote reviews previously.

There quote was 3 times less then the other quote I got. They cleaned up and very professional. Excellent company. They were recommended to me by 4 people. Excellent. Thanks

They did a great job. It took us a couple of calls to get them but once they came out, they came right out and they did a really outstanding job.

I couldn't be more pleased with their work.

It took three months from when I first contacted them to request an estimate for them to come to the house to look at the job. But, only one week from when we approved the work for them to complete the job. They arrived when they said they would and worked the entire day. They had several men available to complete the job in a timely manner. I was very happy with the result. They were amazing to watch!

Our tree service needs were of the routine (but, overdue -my bad) nature. What with damage and clean-ups from storms and a tornado in progress I let them know our stuff would be waiting when they got caught up. Besides... this fool and his money is soon enough parted. We were contacted and advised the work would be done on Friday, 7/25. And it was `done' the 25th -having completed the job the afternoon before!!! The `Noisy Five' did a swell job start to finish. Their clean-up left me with NOTHING to do on the 25th except -go FISH! Thankz guys -and Lisa.

We understand the urgency of taking care of storm victims but after waiting patiently for a month for an estimator to come out, there was no call / no show for the appointment. There was also no apology for failing us the courtesy of a simple phone call and we're told it would benefit us to look for someone else to do our trees. Not even an offer to reschedule at a later time or suggestion of who we could call.

They were timely with the job. They had the necessary equipment and manpower to work quickly and safely. I was quite impressed with the care they gave in doing the job well. This included clean up. Very pleased and highly recommend them.

They did an excellent job and left the site very neat.

We have used H.A. Irish (not to be confused with Irish AAA) at least 9 times over about 15 years. Though we have gotten other estimates H.A. Irish always come in cheaper. That doesn't mean less service though, they always do a very good and knowledgeable job and clean up thoroughly after themselves. They stick with their estimate, too.

They were amazing! The trees were 60+ feet tall, very old, very large and within yards of the house with the branches over hanging the roof. I must confess, I was VERY nervous about this project! But they were able to move their heavy equipment into a very small area with NO damage to the house, garage or driveway. They arrived on time (9AM) and worked non-stop, except for a short lunch break and to empty the truck that held the mulched tree branches. It was impressive to see them work so efficiently and safely at such a dangerous job. They cleaned up and left the yard in fine condition. The only small negative was getting someone to answer phone calls for the initial contact. I would absolutely recommend them!!

We had used their service in the past and had been very happy. Called again for a big job but didn't hear back. Called a couple more times and finally got an appointment for an estimate. No show for the appointment, no call. It took 3 more attempts to reach someone to reschedule and again, no return call. Left messages for the owner to contact us and never heard back. It would seem the estimator is the one causing the business to have negative reviews. Very unfortunate.

Bid from H.A. Irish was hundreds of dollars less than other 3 bids received. Arrived promptly when date was determined and completed work within 4 days as the crane was not used until available.

Estimator (Russ) showed up early and gave my husband a quote for removal of 3 trees for $1,200. My husband was obviously surprised as this cost was nearly 3 times what this same company quoted us 2 years ago. After noticing my husband's apprehension the quote was revised to $1,000 though the estimator was short with him and left before it was even his scheduled arrival time. I understand the price we received previously was really great and expected it to be higher, but it was not out of the question for us to be surprised that the same company was that much different. The revised price was even reasonable for us but I had to jump through a few hoops with my neighbor (trees on property line) to get the work going. I called the estimator back to ask for a written estimate on one tree since our neighbors were going to split the cost of that tree with us. He was rude on the phone, said he was busy and didn't remember our job. He said he would have to stop by again, never did and never called. We were still willing to have the work done for that costs proposed (all trees) but I was pretty well turned off by the estimators attitude over the phone and unwillingness to work with us. While waiting around to hear back from him we were contacted by another company that was willing to meet their price to get the work AND was pleasant to work with so we have hired them for the work instead.
