I've never been treated worse by a professional services firm than how I was treated by All Pro today. Made appt. for summer place in Union Pier 3 days in advance and drove 3 hrs. the night before to ensure I was there to meet them in the morning. On scheduled day of service, the plumber had problems with the address, and when I finally flagged him down in the street, he was hostile, aggressive, and abusive. When I'd had enough, I told him to stop barking at me and remember that I was the customer. He was so agitated and unstable, he just yelled to "go find someone else" and drove off. Furious, I phoned the office and explained what happened; the woman on the phone was adequately apologetic and promised to discuss with a manager and get right back to me. Within 10-15 minutes, I received a call that another crew would be at my place within the hour. This happened as planned, and new plumber was actually considerate and professional. HOWEVER; tried to sell me on a lower quality water heater that was priced 60% higher than a quote from a competing company so I told him, no thanks, please just work on flushing out the clogged pipes. After conferring with his office, he told me he could not do this work as he was not certified on the specific tasks to be done. Again, very upset... I called the office and asked why they sent me someone who couldn't even perform the work I'd requested?? They told me they wouldn't be able to perform the work until almost a week later. And I still had to pay the stupid $69 service fee for which I received: unprofessional behavior, and NO SERVICES PERFORMED WHATSOEVER. I will never use this company and will make sure all of my neighbors are aware of this incident. Completely unexpected and unacceptable.

This so-called company was ATROCIOUS! They screwed up simple plumbing work, passed the blame on me—-saying ‘you should have done this, and you should have done that BEFORE we did our work’, didn’t stand by their work—as promised, and charged both ONE ARM and ONE LEG for something that took four hours to do—by an unskilled ‘plumber’. They apparently lack a single iota of professionalism in every aspect of their business! The owner is an absolute jerk—-I understand trying to ‘stick up for’ your untrained ‘plumber’, but don’t try to tell your customer what he should have done BEFORE your untrained ‘plumber’ did the job. If you hire these people, YOU WILL BE VERY VERY SORRY! I am going to be in court with them next! They also told me AFTER THE FACT, ‘we should have had a permit to do this work’—-and so I’m reporting them to the cities of Bridgman, Niles and Buchanan to be on the lookout for their big green trucks—-and find out if they’re doing more work without permits! Their ‘business model’ essentially ‘screws you’ by making you get a PAID ESTIMATE for $69 if they come out to give you an estimate to do the work, and they credit that estimate to the job if you do it RIGHT AWAY! So I told the guy to do the job—-and since they’re such a greedy, overpriced company who doesn’t care if they have a permit or not, they just go ahead and rip you off and do the work—-and do it WRONG! Bill & Chris resolved numerous issues with a poor installation of Rennais done by another company. Work was a littly pricey, but ultimately worth it to have fast reliable hot water with no cold water sandwiches. I highly recommend this company if you have a difficult problem that requires thought and expertise to fix.

A little expensive. They made a big chip in my ceramic tile. Watch that they cover or protect your stuff.

It was okay. It was fine. I paid $80 to check the furnace. He talked to me and he did something on my air conditioner so that cost me $70.

Horrible. I haven't been ripped off like this in 50 years since I was a kid. The guy comes in and covers his shoes and you think he's a pro. I told him the problem, there was an initial fee of over $100 to come out. Then he pulled out a form and started checking off every little thing and charging for everything. Then when their "master plumber" couldn't fix it, he started charging for every thing he checked. I was going to call the police but to get him out of my house I gave him a check for $700 and told him to leave. The toilet still leaked. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME GOOGLE ALL PRO OF BUCHANNAN AND SEE THE COMPLAINTS. A friend recommended another plumber who fixed everything for $60. JUST GOOGLE ALL PRO.

The service was great. I called on Thursday and they came out first thing Friday morning. (I didn't ask for nor pay for emergency service or anything.) The plumber told me up front what the costs would be (more on that shortly). He had all the parts and tools he needed in his truck and completed the job quickly and well. He also quoted me to do a few other small plumbing jobs while he was there (I declined but appreciated the information.) I have nothing bad to say about the technician or the work he did. He was friendly, professional, and competent. I do need to comment on the price though. All-Pro has a pricing rubric they use - they don't bill by the hour or for parts. This is good in that they can quote you a price up front and don't wind up taking longer then they thought and then billing you more. However in my case the price seemed quite excessive. Their plumbing rubric had about ten "levels" of jobs; each higher level had a higher price. Replacing a closet flange fell in level "8" which cost $569. All-pro also charged me separately for removing and reinstalling the stool: $269. I'm not sure how they would replace a closet flange without removing and reinstalling the stool but he told me it was a separate job, a separate bill. I didn't shop around; All-Pro is based just around the corner from my house and I love to support local businesses whenever possible. So maybe this price is in line with competitors. However the tech was working for about 75 minutes which, ignoring the small cost of parts, works out to $670 per hour. Which is just a little hard to swallow. All-Pro also charges a $50 service fee just for coming and giving you an estimate. They waived this fee in my case, because I was a very short drive, because I was using their service, and maybe because I whined a little about the cost. But if you had to pay that too it would raise the price further. Since they have this "StraightForward Pricing®" rubric you should be able to find out what a job would cost without having to have someone come out. For example, one of the other jobs I was contemplating was replacing a tub faucet. That's a level 3 job, $175. It's right there on the form. So I would encourage prospective customers to push them to give you a quote over the phone, if you know exactly what you need. Maybe they'll say no, but it's worth a shot. If it fits the budget I'd recommend All-Pro, at least for plumbing work. I know All-Pro reads the reviews on this site and I want them to notice I did check the "yes" when asked "Would you use this provider in the future?" -- and I hope they'll agree this review was fair and truthful.

Paid them for the estimate, told the provider it was waaaay too expensive as I was only willing to pay $400. He never even gave me an alternative - like maybe fix only the 1 drain that was continuously dripping.

Bill gave several ideas to try regarding traps that may be drying out, allowing the odor in and then resolving. He checked all of the expert plumber things and gave me options that I could try before going to major expense. I am very happy! Also the scheduler was excellent. She kept me informed and did not waste my time.

All pro quoted me 65$ to evaluate my septic problem. When they arrived their lazy technician bullied me into paying over 350$ to locate and open my septic tank. After a half hour he gave up and tried to bully me into paying 700$ to continue. I told him to get lost, and despite being disabled I finished the work myself with one arm in five minutes. All pro did not honor their quote to evaluate the problem, did not honor their yellow pages coupon, and accomplished absolutely nothing, so I was charged 350+$ to shave some idiot dig a hole in my yard. DO NOT hire these thieves. DO NOT even call this scamming company, Leslie Roundy Gen.Mngr. is a thief, liar, and a cheat.

I forgot the cost - but they were very professional, timely, and efficient. He left furnace filters, vs. installing them since the current filters were not that dirty, and took care of the humidifiers. I will use them for my air conditioners in the spring.

Company came out and gave me a quote that was too high. Getting a refund on the Deal.

Was having well problems when I called them and ended-up buying a hot water heater in June. The hot water heater was filled with the old well water that sat for 3 years. They said they had to fill it to see if it worked. It took all day to fill the 50 gallon heater. Two months later the new well was installed so I called and asked them to flush out the heater. They said it would cost $199.00 plus a $69.00 service charge. I was very upset since this heater is under warranty. Had them come out and they did flush the heater; but after it sat for 4 months it had caused a lot of problems with corrosion. The anode rod was shot and was creating a lot of smelly hot water. I was told that if I had a licensed plumber (other than All Pro) I would loose my warranty on the heater. This was the first house I ever bought and didn't know much about plumbing; so I trusted All Pro. I will not do anymore business with this company and quite frankly I don't know how they stay in business with high prices and the manufacturer- Bradford and White are not customer friendly either. Be careful what you sign-up for; I learned the hard way.

This is a follow up review of the two service experiences I had with this company. I had another HVAC business come to do a cleaning maintenance on the furnace before winter sets in. He discovered a number of issues with the work performed by All Pro when they replaced the heat exchanger last winter. He has been working on the unit for a couple of hours fixing the burners and replacing components that have fail because they were improperly installed. They suspended the furnace last May so that I could seal the crawl space floor. I explained that it only needed to be temporary and could be reset onto the floor after the membrane was installed. I explained that I was concerned that if it remained suspended that it would make the floor vibrate when the blower was running. They assured me that this is commonly done and have had no problems with suspending these units. Unfortunately that is not the case. The floor distinctly vibrates each time the furnace comes on. They also installed the exhaust pipe with a downward slope and now water is leaking from the pipe all over the floor. Very poor quality work at best and at extremely high prices.

Should have looked at Angie's list before I set an appointment with them. Their pricing is outrageous. We have an electric water heater that is placed high above a cabinet. Its reachable by ladder. Once up the ladder, the service opening is large. I've accessed it myself to reset the unit on many occasions. They charged us more to climb up a ladder than the service itself. $69 just to show up and an additional $488 just to climb up the ladder. We paid over $900 to replace 4 items. Had we called another company, we would have paid a few hundred dollars more to replace the entire water heater. They quoted $2,400 to replace a low-boy electric water heater. Other companies quote $960 to $1,100. Then we paid $99 to service the A/C and they tried to up sell with an addition $240 package we supposedly needed. Should have told them to walk when they gave us the initial price, but we were short on time. It wasn't until I started researching the pricing did I realize how much they overcharged. Bottom line: Call someone else.

It went well with no problem. It went very smoothly. They are the first ones that picked up the phone. They were quick and right on time. They explained everything very well.

They had good service but they were expensive. The charge was a little bit too high. Sometimes they are the first available. I would use them again but I would negotiate the price upfront.

They showed up on time. They did come in and do the work and they split it for two days instead of one. I drove down there from Milwaukee to get it done and I had to have them come back because the gentleman that came out first didn't want to go down and get that off. So they had to get somebody else that was willing to go under the house. So that kind of bothered me because I had already told the person when they set-up the appointment that the plumbing would be under the house that they are going to have to move around. So when the guy showed up and didn't want to do all the work that day, I was disappointed but only in that. Their work was fine but I was kind of disappointed that they did not come out and do it in one day. So I had to extend my stay there to be able to accommodate them. They were also professional. The guy that did not want to go under the house was professional but he did not want to go under the house. Maybe he has some kind of a problem that he did not want to do it but they were okay. They were also knowledgeable.

I blame myself for signing off on this ahead of time but it was a lot simpler project than I was told. $25 copper and 45 minutes labor for $300 , insane. Didn't know the $69 service call charge was in addition to the estimate. Plus he was going to charge another $149 to replace the shutoff valve but I nixed that. This is especially disappointing as I was so pleased with their earlier furnace inspection service. Don't know if ill use them again.

This is a terrible company, stay far, far away! Not only is the lady who answers the phone very rude, but the technician they send out are even worse. Poor service, very uncomfortable to have in your home, rude, and just an overall bad experience. I would highly recommend going elsewhere. Also, if you make an appointment and later call to cancel (with 5 days notice of cancellation), plan on having them still show up at your home, demand payment, and not leave your property until you give them some form of payment.

It went very well. The price was okay for me. They were professional. They worked at a very efficient schedule. They got the job done. It was very easy to contact them and have them come out here.

I'm very pleased with the service. Bill came out about a week before to diagnose problems with my water and recommend solution. Bill and Chris came to do the recommended work. The improvement in the quality of the water is dramatic, I've been able to remove some stains caused by the water before the work was done. I wish I had known about them sooner & wish I had had them do my original plumbing work and installation of my tankless water heater a year ago. Live and learn. They were punctual, professional, completed the work in a few hours and answered my questions. If I have more plumbing issues, I would call them again. I answered "N/A" for the pricing, because I didn't get any other bids & I don't have experience to compare their prices with others. But, so far, I am very pleased with their service.

Don't call this company!!! Misrepresented charges, bait and switch, high pressure and badgering tactics and preying on senior citizens. We had a noisy furnace motor or fan. They insisted on a $129 charge on our credit card or they wouldn't come. When Bill arrived he banged on the door and was surly. He spent 5 minutes looking at the furnace and told us the inducer motor needed to be replaced. If I didn't order the part for $583, I would be charged an additional diagnostic fee of $99. The more questions I asked about the cost and the fact that a diagnostic fee wasn't disclosed when I called -- that's what the $129 was for -- he started pacing back and forth and became beligerent and agitated and his manner was physically threatening. He called his office on a walkie-talkie and said he had a very difficult customer. When I questioned the owner about the charges Bill stormed out of the house, slammed the door and thankfully drove away. These are bad people!!! Another company, McGhee Air Conditioning and Heating, came out and for a diagnostic fee of $79 and $20 in parts repaired the furnace.

We would recommend them. We had a fire in our home about nine months ago, and they have been fantastic from the word go.
