This is listed wrongly - saying - available to provide service in my area - according to Angies list. When I called they said - they don't service my area. I would expect better data from Angies list - particularly when I paid for a membership.

It went great. They arrived as scheduled. Worked hard all day removing old shrubs and planting new ones. Very pleased with their selection of shrubs and plants. Only complaint might be I was hoping everything planted would be deer and rabbit resistant. Wishful thinking. Overall -- very satisfied.

They came and did a professional job, and I would hire them again.

Paver work was good. French drain did not reduce back yard water pooling issue. Used dirt that was removed for French drain to build up top soil flower bed. Dirt was full of sod pieces, clay and roots. Had to dig up and remove garbage dirt myself.

They came and gone before I knew it!

Not very well had to call them out twice as I was getting these weeds which I call (prickers) as u need gloves to remove them n 1 srub died, they replaced it n said it's in the soil that they keep popping up well I'm over these, n on side of house narrow strip had white rocks they removed them n laid brown mulch, well I have been seeing a few weeds but now even more this past wk come to find out I pushed away some of the mulch n there is no liner for the weeds under the mulch well needless to say in this case I should have kept my white rocks as as I would only get a couple in the summer n once pulled they be gone for 1,900 This wasn't a great job n my 1 flower died I have pictures as I took them 3 days ago if you want them I'll b happy to send them to u but u won't use this on ur site anyway but wanted u to know I was ripped off

My experience from the beginning to the end was exceptional!! Dan called me back immediately after I left a message and scheduled someone to come out the very next day to do an estimate. Dustin was punctual, friendly and extremely helpful in providing suggestions and helping me envision a landscaping design. After discussing the details, Dustin was able to provide me with a quote as well as the date they could start work. I was in contact with Dustin prior to the work starting to run ideas by him and ask questions. He was always extremely patient with me and very helpful. Brooks Landscaping started work on the exact day they promised and the crew was very courteous and friendly. I was extremely involved in the process every step of the way and felt that it was important to them that I was engaged and 100% satisfied with everything. The entire project ended up taking 2 days and I was pleased that the crew cleaned up the “work site” both days. Overall they exceeded my expectations and I am very happy with the outcome. All of our neighbors have complimented us on the work and plan to contact Brooks Landscaping for their future landscaping needs! I would highly recommend them because they take pride in their work, did a fabulous job and I truly enjoyed my interaction with the entire crew.

The yard is completely level, the grass is healthy and fully trimmed to size, mulch beds look clean and spotless, tree beds creatively garnish the yard to hide ugly roots, and the accent plants added were selected to capture the colors of the house brick. Extremely pleased with the end results and every minute in between. The crew was professional, friendly and accommodating to late revision requests and our neighbor's properties. Job Well Done!

They came as stated and was finished in one day. The patio looks great!

Great, the 2 guys that did the work were very professional and did a great job. I would hire them again. The owner of the company came out to the house to give be an estimate and discuss what I wanted done. I was very pleased with the work and he was able to fit the job into his schedule within at 2 week time frame.

I had my fence extended and needed some sod/dirt/leveling/drainage issues to address. The area fenced in was approx. 100'x32'. He showed up on time but when he was looking at the job, I think he was overwhelmed. He had a hard time following what I was asking and needed to be done. We talked for a few minutes as I told him what I needed to be done and then I had to take a shower and go to work. He said he would take some measurements and email me a quote. I never heard back from him. In his defense, I think the job was too big for him. However, I think he could have just told me that. It was a big job but with the right equipment can be done relatively easily. I ended up going with Mist O Matic. He didn't do any work but I think the communication could have been better.

I am extremely pleased with the quality of their work and the professional yet personable demeanor of Daniel Brooks and his staff. I used Angie's List and a couple other resources to select three companies to request project suggestions/price quotes from. I chose Brooks Landscaping due to the company's favorable reviews/recommendations as well as Daniel Brooks' patience with my many questions, the details he provided on how the job would be handled, and that he respected that I had a specific budget that I needed to work within. Dan explained/offered several options. In both instances that Daniel Brooks came out to discuss the job, he was punctual and was especially helpful and informative. The project itself took two days, as they expected, and it was started on the day they promised. Dustin, the foreman, is very articulate, detail oriented, respectful and easy to work with. It's clear that Dustin takes pride in his/their work and loves what he does. The job turned out beautifully! ...And considering what a messy endeavor it was, they did a fabulous job with the haul-away process of the old wall and the final project clean up. I look forward to contacting them again for my future landscaping needs and recommend that you reach out to them for your next landscaping project.

Came across slightly arrogant. I ask for local references and pretty much said his card from the local brick supply store is good enough. (This is before I know he was on Angie's list). He ask how many quotes I had gotten and I told him 6. He told me I should not do that as that would put these companies out of business. I thought that was a strange comment. I would have thrown away the card but I saw later that night when I looked them up on Angie's list that he got good feedback. Salesmanship skills need some work.

It went very well . Daniel came over on time and went through the process of costing out the job. Within the next couple of days they were at the house working on the patio. It was completed in two days. They did an awesome job and were very professional. Highly recommended.

Can't say as he never even showed up for the appointment he set up. I wanted to give a local business my business but if they treat all their customers like they treated me, then I won't. He claims to have shown up for the 2:30 appointment in the pouring rain according to his response to my review here, but said I didn't answer the door. If so, then why didn't he call back to reschedule the appointment? No, he didn't show up because I WAS home and he did NOT show up and knock on my door.

It was fine. They were just wanted more money than I wanted to pay. I think they weren’t worth it but they came out right away. He was very knowledgeable. I’m sure the price was fair but it was just more than what we wanted to pay at that time. There was nothing against at all. The guy was fine. His demeanor was nice. I didn’t have any issues with him.

Job went smooth and fast. The job was completed in only two days and was expertly done.

The pavers needed sand and had been neglected. They pressure washed and re-sanded my patio. It looks great now.

Overall, I am extremely pleased with the stone work. I had a detailed plan for him to use for the new landscaping plants, and he mostly followed it. He did not plant enough plants in the front planter under the tree, however. He only put 6 plants in originally. He did add 6 more when I asked him to add more. It still needed more. A few of the plants he said he could not get without special ordering them. When I went over my plans, he said they would be no problem. I allowed him to substitute them to get the job done, but now wish he had special ordered the ones I wanted. Some of the plants have died and I was not given any receipts that I can take them back. I was not given an itemized list of expenses, even though I asked for one. I was told the estimate was all he gave. The plants he bought were very small. I went to the stores and had to add some more myself. He did not plant grass or anything where the new sidewalk went in. I had to go purchase flowers to put there as it looked unfinished. Some of the plants were not planted deep enough and I had to redo them as they fell over. But, again, the stonework they did was excellent. He was a very nice guy to work with overall.

I had Brooks Landscaping do my first home back in 2005. It was a new build and had nothing. I was also a little nervous about hiring someone as it was my first home, first time paying someone for something like this. All new to me. I had a couple quotes done and Brook's price was good but he also helped me figure out what to put in. I was clueless. He did a retaining wall, a bunch of neat looking shrubs and grass. Looked great. 8 years later the retaining wall never "dipped". If you look at some retaining walls out there, you'll see it, it's like they sink into the grass. Brooks said he reinforces it so that wouldn't happen, and it never did. The bricks in the wall are even still glued (or something) together. When I sold the house last fall my friends joked I should dig up the shrubs and take them. Lol. Nice stuff. My parents also had him do a paver walkway on their house over on Grosse Ile maybe in 2008. He also made their driveway wider with pavers, very nice. Years down the road, even with cars parked on it, the pavers haven't sunk. So when I moved into my current home (new to me home, 1975 build) I called Brooks. I wanted my driveway widened like my parents. Just got it done a month ago. Looks great. Brooks even told me a couple real easy things I could do to make my house look better (I wanted his opinion since he made my last house look great). Very good stuff. So, in closing. Don't worry about this guy. He shows up, he works, he's friendly and will do a good job that lasts. Later this fall I'm going to have him back to fix up my back yard.

Brooks Landscaping was very punctual and professional. Dan the owner gave an immediate estimate of what our project would cost on the first visit! We were impressed. He listened to our vision of the project, and made it a successful reality. He was easy to work with, and listened to all our concerns. He and his crew went above and beyond our expectations! We highly recommend this provider to anyone looking for a landscaping project. We were totally satisfied with the end result! Dan and his crew were very courteous and friendly. Price was reasonable. Don't hesitate to use this provider!

Brooks Landscaping's did pretty good work, responded pretty fast, they were on time, cleaned up after themselves, and their professionalism was very good.
