The guy came to my house and inspected my generator, he told me he didn’t have the part on hand or at the office so he had to order it. I told him that is okay. Someone later that month came to my house and fixed the generator. I thought it was him so I was happy. Later, someone from his office tells me he will be out to fix my generator. I told her that her guy already fixed the generator and I was happy. No need to come out again. She refused to listen to me and sent the guy out to fix my already repaired generator. He gets to my house sees the generator working and now he wants to charge me for 2 service fees. I found out that he misdiagnosed my unit in the first place. These people are scams. Do not trust them. They try to diagnose a larger problem so they can get more money for the warranty repair.

Initial consultation - On time, very knowledgeable, explained everything and answered all of our questions. Installation - On time, excellent work, cleaned up work site completely and showed me everything I needed to know about the operation and maintenance of the unit. Contact - The office administrator is excellent. She kept us informed of inspection appointments and responded in a very timely manner to all of our inquiries. I would definitely use and recommend this company again.

Scott and an associate did both the external and internal work associated with this, including connecting to the gas line and doing all of the reasonably complex electrical work. They were very pleasant to deal with and seemed very capable. The generator started up on first try, and kicked on during the one power outage that we have had since. Scott came out to winterize the unit and check it over. I would definitely recommend SPS as a source for generators and for any electrical work. This is the kind of work where you want to have confidence in the skills of the people involved.

I got quotes from 5 contractors on a standby generator. Of all the projects I have had contractors for, I've never gotten so many different "versions" of what needed to be done or a wider range of prices. Scott was so helpful, answered ALL my questions and even made a second trip to our house so we could do a walk through to make sure we understood each other. Installation took two days (partly due to rain, the first day) and was super smooth. It's a BIG project and all the new wiring was done, beautifully. I highly recommend SPS!
