Great to work with, responsive, helpful -- and finished the project as scheduled and in the budget discussed. I would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: Water softener began leaking and turned off. Called and talked with Sam who guided me over the phone, on his own time, about how to restart the softener temporarily. It worked and I was temporarily the hero of my family as the hot water began to flow for at least one more round of morning showers. A day or two later, Sam's team - led by his brother I believe - replaced the old softener with a new one. The old one was less than four years old so was still covered under manufacturer's warranty -- and I only paid for labor, which was reasonable.

They were very respectful and informative in telling me what was going on and why things needed to happen. He even told me I could not do the sump pump at that time if I chose but here is what would happen down the road if you don't. So I asked if they have something with them so they could do it now? He said yes. I didn't price them around, he came out and gave me an estimate. He asked to see the plumbing so we went to the basement, so when we were down there, the water tank was making clicking noises because the pump was coming on and off so it was just a fluke that the problem with the sump pump was found.
Description of Work: We used San Angelo Plumbing to replace my water tank and when doing so, they found that that my sump pump was not working so they did the sump pump while they were there and then charged me extra labor because he was already there.

I contacted Roberto of San Angelo Plumbing by telephone and he agreed to perform a relatively small plumbing remodeling job at my home. We set a tentative appointment for the next afternoon, which Roberto cautioned might not work out because he would be waiting for an inspector to show up at another job. The inspector was, in fact, late, so Roberto said he would do my job the following day, after installing a water heater about five minutes from my home. The water heater installation took twice as long as he projected, but we finally connected by phone again and he said he would be at my home within the next 5-10 minutes. Half an hour later, I noticed he had left a voicemail message while I was on the phone with someone else. At that same moment, my wife saw the San Angelo van drive past our house, going the wrong way. I immediately called his cell phone number, but he didn't answer, so I left a voicemail message, telling him he had just passed our house and needed to turn around. He couldn't have been more than a few hundred yards from our house when I did that. Several minutes passed with no response, so I called again and left another voicemail message. No response. A third call had the same result. It was now clear that Roberto had decided my project, which he hadn't actually seen, was not worth his time. My time, evidently, was of no consequence to him, as I had waited for him for more than six hours over two days only to see him drive on by and never call back. I ended up buying the materials and doing the job myself. Roberto sounded like a courteous professional over the phone, but his actions in simply leaving us in the lurch after I had waited so many hours for him, indicate that Roberto of San Angelo Plumbing is, in fact, quite unprofessional and cannot be trusted to do what he says he will do.
Description of Work: I had asked San Angelo Plumbing to reconfigure the existing copper piping as part of a bathtub/shower remodeling project. The old tub and shower surround had been removed, so all the feed tubing was exposed and easily accessible. All San Angelo needed to do was remove the existing valve and install the new one a few inches higher. The proposed work involved cutting existing copper pipes, soldering in new extensions, and installing the new tub/shower valve, which I had purchased separately. San Angelo Plumbing failed to do any of this because, after making me wait several hours over a two day period, the plumber drove right past our house and refused to respond to repeated phone messages telling him how to find us and asking him to call back.

Response from San Angelo Plumbing
I had spoke with the member the first day and told him I would give him a call when I was in his area after I met with my inspector, which I did, he did not return my call for about 3 hours at which point I was well away from his area and back to my office. When i did speak with him he explained he was in his garage and did not hear the phone which i completely understand and that is why I agreed to go to his home the next day (on a saturday) Myself and one of my employees called him on our way and told him we would be there in 10 minutes. When we arrived we could not find his house as the mailbox address was nowhere near his home so I attempted to call him with no response (7 times to be exact in a 35 minute period). after waiting 35 minutes driving around his area we decided to leave as we had other appointments to get to. In the member's review he stated he tried to call me I can honestly say my phone is strapped to my hip and turned on 24 hours a day 7 days a week and I have received no messages from the member. If he did try and reach me and for some odd reason the voice mail did not come through (which happens) I want to sincerely apologize to the member. But I can tell you I would not drive out his house twice if i was not attempting to do the work.

The work was done quickly, cleanly, and professionally. Additional materials were needed with no up charge. Roberto held his quoted price to penny. We were given an orientation on the install. He also cheerfully gave his advice and opinion on upcoming projects and on work done by another plumber that was starting to fail. I plan to recommend him to my friends and associates.
Description of Work: Installation of a Bradford-White hot water heater (replacement, tank).

San Angelo was very responsive. They returned my call immediately and work with me to meet my schedule. The work was high quality and priced very fairly. Additionally, they went out of their way to find some special fixtures I needed and provided them at no cost. I was very pleased and would definitely use them again

Arrived on time, recommended a variety of options and did a high quality installation on the chosen solution.
Description of Work: Very knowledgeable, recommends good solutions and explains in detail. Does not try to sell anything you don't need. Very responsive and honest. Replaced broken gas water heater. Found a creative way to vent the gas exhaust without ripping up the existing undersized piping.
