Description of Work: Restore-A-Floor was supposed to clean, strip, and refurbish our slate floor that had a residue on it following minor water damage. It was not a difficult or complex job and was to be completed in one visit. It's important to note that Restore-A-Floor was not the original company I called and hired to do the work. It was another company, which will remain nameless, who initially came to the house to take a look at the floor and write an estimate. But, they then subcontracted the work to Restore-A-Floor. I was not told in advance that this would be the case, and I did not like it. I was led to believe that the original company was going to perform the work, and then found out later that another company -- Restore-A-Floor -- was going to come to my house and refurbish the slate. I was told by the original company that Restore-A-Floor had expertise at cleaning and restoring slate floors and that my floor would look better than ever once the job was finished! On the day scheduled, Restore-A-Floor came (2 workers) and washed, stripped, and sealed the slate and grout. Initially, the floor looked good, but as a few days went by, it became evident that the grout was becoming blotchy and developing white areas. Prior to the damage and restoration, the grout was not blotchy or white in areas. I called the original company and told them what had happened, and they didn't even bother to come and see what had happened. Instead, they sent out the guy from Restore-A-Floor who didn't seem to know what was causing the discoloration or what to do to rectify the problem, nor did he seem to really care.

Description of Work: The grout and tiles in our master bathroom were cleaned and all bad caulk and cracked grout was removed and replaced.
