Lakeside Service Company

Prior to the furnace stopping, we noticed an odor similar to burnt electrical wiring. I wanted to contact a Heating and Cooling company, but was not sure who to contact. That's when I researched providers listed on Angie's list. After doing some reading, I thought with all of the favorable comments regarding Lakeside Service Company, that was the company I wanted to contact. That was one of the best phone calls for service I have made in a long time. The person that took my information scheduled a time for the service call that was prompt and convenient. I'd like to point out that I called on Thanksgiving morning to schedule repair for the next day. A very good experience with Lakeside Service Company from the beginning. The serviceman (Kurtis) was on-time, knowledgeable and very professional. He took the time to check the entire furnace, and replaced the defective capacitor. He explained the operation of the entire system and pointed out components that were running, but marginally, and could fail. He also mentioned the potential costs associated with the repairs. We have known for quite some time that our furnace, which was 16 years old, was literally falling apart. Kurtis was able to make the necessary repair to get us some heat. We were warm and content, but knew we would have to make a decision down the road regarding a new heating system. Our experience with Lakeside Service Company and the expert service they provided convinced us that they would be the only company to handle our future heating and cooling issues. In my opinion, this is a well run company that truly cares about their customers....and it shows by the professionalism and knowledge of their employees.

We have been with them for about 4 years year now. They will repair or install whatever we need. We have been very happy with them. They also do annual furnace and A/C maintenance. They have a package deal that will cover the furnace in the fall and A/C in the spring which also includes a 24/7 emergency service at the regular rate. That cost about $239 per year.

We have a service agreement with Lakeside, and that sends a tech out to check over our furnace and air conditioner prior to or in the appropriate seasons. We try to ask for Joe because we have found him to be the absolute best; most professional, most knowledgeable, and judgment free. Our condo does not have a water source in the rear of the unit, so Joe uses his own hose and gets water from our water heater to hose off the AC unit. Then cleans up if he's tracked something in! Excellent service!

My wife was home at the time the service was performed. She noted that the technician was very professional and explained everything he was doing (and why). He showed her the areas of concern during the furnace inspection and recommended we have the duct work cleaned. I selected this company based on the reviews from Angie's List and I will definitely use them in the future. In fact, we signed up for their annual maintenance agreement for furnace inspection/cleaning.

He checked the air conditioner, but also checked the furnace too, while he was at it. Very glad he did, because he found a part that was leaking, and needed to be replaced. The air conditioner, and the furnace each needed only one part. Over all the furnace and air conditioner will last many more years. The tech was very professional, and knowledgeable. He took his time and explained everything, and showed me the areas that needed a part. This man couldn't have been nicer. I would use AND recommend this company. I will also have them come out each spring and fall to check and maintain my furnace and air conditioner every year to keep both in great working condition! Before I called this company, I found them on Angie's list first. The reviews were excellent, so I called them. They everything the reviews said and more!!

From the initial sales call to the installation process, the employees were professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and answered all our questions about the operation and maintenance of the units. We definitely would recommend them to a friend.

Lakeside comes out twice a year to test, and repair if necessary, the furnace and the AC. February was our yearly renewal. Joe is our favorite technician; he's prompt, friendly, and efficient. He also does not speak to us as if we are stupid, understanding that we do not have the heating and cooling background that he has. We have used Lakeside for several years and will continue to use them. I would highly recommend them.

Our experience with them was good until we realized that they did not make sure that my chimney were the exhaust for the boiler was going, was lined properly and that was starting to cause a little bit damage on my house. So we had to have that fixed. We really wished that we had known that then instead of now. That was the only thing we were disappointed with them about. The installation is fine, everything works well. We don’t know whether that got overlooked or they did not do it well, I do not know what happened. Overall their service was great. People were nice, polite and everything. They actually paid for somebody to come and look at it to give us an estimate on what needed to be done. But I wish that it would have been done when it was installed instead of afterwards. So that is the only thing. Their price was fine. As for their quality of service they did not make sure it was done properly. As for their responsiveness they came out and talked to me and showed up on time.

Lakeside was prompt, professional and efficient. I would definitely recommend them.

The sales representative arrived as schedule and did the most thorough job of evaluating my HVAC requirements. Spent a lot of time promoting the reputation of the installer and the qualifications of the company. He did an excellent job of communicating. Although I selected a different equipment brand, I would have had confidence in this company to do the job.

.They showed up a few minutes early (they called and let me know when exactly they would arrive) and looked over the situation based on what the salesperson had told them. They estimated that it would be about 6 hours to complete the job and they finished about a half hour early. The lead installer went over the programming of the thermostat in detail and answered all my questions. Our utility room was spotless when they left. When the county inspector arrived to look over the work, he said that it was an excellent installation. The company did all the paperwork for me to get my rebates from the local utility companies. An terrific experience and I highly recommend Lakeside.

This is a family owned and operated business in the community, which I prefer. I have been doing business with them for 20 years. No effort was made to sell me more than what I needed, and a no interest payment plan was offered. The courtesy of providing two space heaters until my new furnace was installed was courtesy above and beyond what I expected.

We prepay for yearly Maintenance Contracts and this works out great because Lakeside calls us when it is time for our Furnace checkup in the Fall and for our Air Condition checkup in the Spring. They are very professional and polite.

It went really well. They were absolutely amazing. I called about 8 places and no one could come out on the weekend besides them. I thought it was the best customer service experience I've had.

I never had a problem with them and I was satisfied. The price was fair. I would tell others to go ahead and use them.

We have lived in the US for 12 years and the experience with Lakeside Service was the single best customer service experience we have ever had. When DTE shut off our furnace on a Saturday evening due to concerns about carbon monoxide, we had little belief that someone would return our phone call on Saturday night let alone that anyone would be willing to install a new surface on a Sunday! Well, this company was able to do both. Tom, Bryan, and Ryan were all great to deal with--very fast, efficient, professional. What’s really nice about Lakeside Service Co Inc.is that they inform their customers about all the different rebates available. They even help their customer file for consumer’s power. They provide a full and rounded service. They are wonderful. They keep everything clean while working. They put down tarps and clean everything up before they leave. They give full instructions on how to operate the unit, which was really nice. The quality of their product was great. Their service was great as well. They came and did a complete estimate. They gave me whatever discounts possible based on senior citizens. They also had coupons. They really went out of their way to help me out. I compared their price with four other companies and their price was not the highest or the lowest. The quality of the product was definitely worth the money. They were very responsive. Overall, it was a great experience. I would use them again in the future.

They were not the cheapest or the most expensive. They did a good job. Everything about the installation was first rate. I would use them in the future.

They were on on time and did an excellent job. UPDATED FEBRUARY 17, 2012: LEAK WAS REPAIRED BY LAKESIDE SERVICE CO. BRIGHTON MI....PRYO HEATING CO. HAD AGAIN AGAIN DROPPED THE BALL ON MY NEW FURNACE INSTALLED BY THEM. 2 CLAMPS MIS-ALIGNED AND UNDER TORQUED WAS THE PROBLEM. REPAIRED BY LAKESIDE IN 20 MIN..CAME OUT WITHIN ONE HOUR OF MY REQUEST. PYRO LOST OUT ON MY WHOLE HOUSE GENERATOR CONTRACT. MY BUISNESS GOES TO LAKESIDE SERVICE CO.

My wife discovered wet carpet in our basement. The water source was the heater / Air Cond. unit in the utility room. The water had seeped into the TV viewing area in the basement. We shut the AC off ( it was very hot..about 95 degrees outside) I looked on Angies list to find a HVAC repair company. Lakeside had good ratings so we called them. It was almost midnight but they came out right away arriving around 1am. The repairman, Dennis, was very professional and had the problem analyzed and fixed in short order. It ended up being a plugged drain line from the AC condenser in the furnace unit. We are extremely pleased with the service and will be using them for our regular yearly checkup on the Furnace. Total charge was $226...that included a $50 fee for after hours response. We highly recomend this company.
